Rooney scored two well taken header's , he's a very good player but no one ever is going to tell or convince me that that man is as good as Torres Messi Ronaldo Iniesta no way , he's fast strong and energetic hard shot but not in the guy's mentioned league.

I cannot fault our players tonight they played as best they could if this was 3 years ago we would of won that game easy , but the legs go around the 60 minute mark for two many key players in midfield if at least 5 players (10 was emotion speaking) don't arrive we won't even get this far next year.

We are just not IN-FORM right now...Pato had probably the worst game of his Milan career. Pirlo was absolutely invisible.

If Leonardo wants to play like Barcelona...he cannot have Pirlo who offers nothing but sprayed passes in his midfield.

This was a very strange game. Should have ended with 4-1 or 5-1 in our favor, but it could also have ended with 4-1 or 5-1 in ManU's favor.

What the ****. Let's look forward to the second leg at OT. We will need to outscore them two goals to qualify. Sounds like a big mountain to climb, though not really impossible.

I knew this evening would be bad when my the channel showing the match was unavailable on my TV, that Myp2p was down and my internet connection was bad ... the goal of ronaldinho (that I didn't see) gave me some hope that it wouldn't be that bad, but it was even worse !!

Nothing to say on the first half: we killed them, they scored a lucky goal, the only blame is about all these missed occasions !!

However, in second half ... we were worse than Portsmouth !! We totally slept for, well, 40 minutes ? MU didn't play better between the first and second half, we just stopped to play.

The only hope we can have (yes, I still see some light in the dark) is that when our guys scored the second goal, they showed that if we want, we can destroy them, clearly destroy them (not a chance to score for 40 minutes, a goal coming from nowhere, well, actually, coming from Favalli ... and then we managed to create 4-5 chances in a few seconds !!).

So, if we want to qualify, we'll need to play a complete game, reitarate this first half for 90 minutes, and play the 3 minutes of injury time in Old Trafford like we played the last 5 minutes in Milan !!

Forza Rossoneri !!

PS: This red card for Carrick is good news ...

seedorf should have come one earlier, he was full of confidence. This was Huntelaars chance to shine, he did ok but did not convince. We really desperately need a forward who is more than just a pure striker, we need someone like Rooney who can take initiative and do it all.

For the first time this season, I think Ancelotti should stay. Leonardo's performance in this one was miserable. Ok, you can have one player staying up, you can even have two players on the occasion, but three, THREE players staying in front of the ball, how the hell Leonardo could let that happen against a team like Manchester is beyond me.

Also, we completely lost it in the second half. It's easiest to put all the blame on our side-backs, but they're not guilty at all. Our midfield lost energy, Seedorf should came on for Beckham before we conceded second, because that straight midfield 3 did not work, it should be switched to 2-1, with Seedorf pressing high up. Ambrosini's walking back is not the way that Milan's captain should play, ok I know he's tired, but it's not the way that Milan captain should play, again. Defense should not be blamed because they had no support. Huntelaar didn't have enough balls to score. But, it's clear that he is not the striker we need in this system. He can't do anything on his own, he can't hold the ball, co-commentator on my local station, coach of one team in our league, said that if Milan would have Dzeko, they'd be the best team in the world.

It will need a miracle to for us to qualify for quarters, but the first thing to do is to alter this system, so that our two wide strikers help in defending, a no more flat 3 in midfield, and please no more Dida.

You mean Pato? The system Leonardo is using would actually work, if we had yound and healthy players. This team just couldn't keep the tempo up for the whole game.

It's that time of year again to renew the contracts of Dida, Favalli, Inzaghi, Seedorf, Beckham etc......Our fabled Milan Lab can keep any player going forever lmao.

A win in Manchester?

This win of ManUtd was really something to celebrate for Alex. He saw that Antonini was injured, and we had to play Favalli. Immediately, Alex played Valencia and he tore our left flank. Two goals started there. If only we had Janku, it wouldn't have happened. I know many of you are not big fans of Kaladze, but even this guy could've done better. Well, we didn't really have options, really unfortunate.

We could have killed the game earlier if Antonini or Hunter didn't waste their respective chance. Then, ManUtd got the fluke goal, we lost the momentum built with the early goal scored by Ronaldinho, and they just made three goals, a humiliation for us.

We refused to give up. Seedorf scored a what I don't want to call a consolation, then Pippo almost got the job done if he'd finished Dinho's superb pass with an equalizer.

Now, we really need to think how we could do things differently in the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford. I hope by that time, Leo would have Boriello available. Pacey full-backs like Zambro, Janku or Oddo would also be extra weapons.

A win in Manchester? We are Milan. Impossible is nothing.
Foza Milan!

Antonini was injured in first half (40th) ... Valencia came in in second half, around the 55th. Immediately ?

Rossoneri_Fuego, a 3-2 win would already be good (then, everything can happen). I'm among the people who think, like you, that we can do it, but we also have to realistic, we won't win 6-0 for example ...

Ferguson made a wise sub. When Valencia came, everything changed. Nani's crosses looked like joke.

However, Pato's passing was the worst.

Someone to complement Pato, someone who can act as a target man, hold the ball, who has physical presence, who is good with the ball at his feet and is aggressive and can take on players. If we had such a player we would be complete.

Sigh..Nesta wasn't Nesta today. I blame him completely for the third goal although the pass was inch perfect. WTF was Dida doing on the first two goals?? The first was an absolutely 2 km/hr joke while the second was a cross that was in the air for about 10 minutes. Milan deserves better from their #1.

EDIT: The main reason we lost were those chances we missed after we went 1-0 up. Ronaldinho's shot, Antonini's shot as well as Huntelaar's break away chance. If one of those chances were taken then it would probably have been all over.
