I find it funny that people are praising Moggi so much, when he's the guy who's responsible more than anyone else, for Juventus being terrible.

Ofcourse he's made some good transfers, so has Galliani, but the fact is that he's also made as many bad transfers as Galliani, people just don't remember the Viudez's and Shevchenko's as much as the Buffon's, Nedved's or Ibrahimovic's, or Pato's, Thiago Silva's and the Kaká's.

I also find it funny that no one gives him credit for the coaches he choses, Carlo is now one of the most respected coaches in europe, before us, he was a loser (In that he never won anything). Leo had never coached before, and Galliani stuck his neck out for him, and he was right, and now it's paying off. As far as I'm concerned hiring Leo was a genius move, much better than the moron's that's running Juve could ever do, and Moratti who decided to pay 25M euro's a year on coaches just so he could have Mourinho who's proven to be not so special afterall.

we can discuss all we want about galli, silvio, moggi etc...
But I'd like to see us spend the money inter or juventus does, let galliani and leo handle that kind of money, lets say 60-70m a summer! If we could do a few more gourcuff (6m), Silva (8m) and kaka (9m) kinda transfers we would really rule the market, unlike what galliani says now

we couldve got Lloris and Cissokho for little and also hernanes for reasonable money, with a decent (not outrageous) transfer budget our team would improve so much!!

Ok how about the rule 6+5 ? is it gonna work someday soon? because we are only linked with foreign players i mean we need 6 italians to start. in 2012 our italians will be as old as favali

Exactly, Lloris and Cissokho are transfers that it seems Silvio pulled the plug on. It's a shame because both transfers seem to could've been grand. Give the guy money and we'll get trophy's, it's always been like that.

This is something I also dont understand... we completely overlook the italian market, and not only the italians but also most of the foreigners that play in italie, players that are used to serie A.

The main diff between Moggi and Galli/Berlu is the fact that Moggi actually knows what he is doing as he has a plan.....where as Galli/Berlu always act on impulse.
Having said all that, Moggi is not god or a saint, but so are Galli/Berlu.
In terms of Football vision, Moggi is amazing, both in terms of picking up talents, sticking through plans and selling useless players.

I would not say ZZ as a nobody before Juve, but he certainly played his best and most dominated football in Juve. Davids was a washed up player after Milan, and looked how he turned out playing for Juve. Canna is another example, Inter basically got him for nothing, but then again, it was Moratti who dealt him. Trez was just another striker and Juve turned him into a superstar. Henry was also at Juve for awhile but Moggi sold him to Arsenal b/c there was no room for him, kind of like how Milan sold Veira.

The point is that when it comes to building a club, Moggi is much better than Galli, and thats a fact.

But, there was no need to buy Gilardino at the first place. We already had Crespo, one of the best in the world at the time and that was our management's biggest mistake in years, from that moment the ship started to sink.

So, how do we now that he's reliable? I would not now, because I'm just little electrical engineer working in computer science. The people who earn 20-30 times more than me should know, it's their job for which they are well (over)payed.
1st. Ronaldo got us back into UCL so that is worth more than 10M.

2nd. Gilardino was one of the best at that time and Crespo was at the end of his career. You must be nuts to choose Crespo over Gilardino.

Your argument is a joke....

Injury aside, R99 did what he was expected to do when he came to Milan. To score goals for Milan in the League and let Pippo scores his in CL.
Beside, nobody expected R99 to get injured the way he did, he torn his knee completely while trying to dribble pass defenders in a game. It could happen to anyone, so to say that he was a waste of money is unfair, unjust and just rude.

Gila, he was the most promising striker in Italy before he came to Milan. If someone said that he was crap and Milan should not sign him back then, he would be call he does not know anything about football.

One more thing, Crespo was on loan from Chelsea and since he did so well with Milan, JM and Chelsea wanted him back unless Milan paid 25mil for him. Something that Milan did not want to.

But it's easy when the rules are different ... I mean, when you can control most of the things (let's not forget the fact that Moggi controlled agents !!), seriously, give me that "power", give me the money he had, and I, you or anybody else who knows a bit football will also turn Juventus or any other club into one of the best clubs in the world !!

One organization that helped Juventus or Moggi (because Juventus is more a victim of Moggi than anything else ...) so much: GEA.

No other thing to add (as anyway, it is pointless to discuss that).

PS: For the injury of Ronaldo, everyone knew, from our management to Ronaldo himself without forgetting us, the fans, that he was very injury-prone and that he was a big risk ... which, unfortunately, happened.

I do give Moggi for eyeing talents as he has pretty much done so over the past 20 years.
Where as Galli/Berlu only got great talents since Leo became their scout. To me the only non-Brazilian who came to Milan and made it big is Pirlo and Sheva. While Pirlo was known as the most talented U21 since Baggio but just lacks a good team and Sheva was really the next big thing in European Soccer. So those two were really a no brainer.

"After reportedly coming to personal terms with Milan, Hugo snubbed the Italian giants for the seven-time Ligue 1 champions Olympique Lyonnais. Lloris explained his decision citing Lyon's European ambitions, more playing time at Lyon, and in Milan, he was not guaranteed the starting goalkeeper spot."

Seems like you think the managing directors of football are the same people who scouts and finds talented players...

And which players that weren't "no brainers" did Moggi sign? Just curious.
