We've got same players who would stay here even if we went down like Juve:
Capitano Cambiasso Cordoba Cruz Recoba Toldo ........................ One thing is for sure, that almost 90% fo interesti were not that excited about the scudetto win. Inter will not sink, we will fight for the scudetto and try for European silverware and the drought will end now. OH did you win the 2004/2005 one?

If Inter wins the CL then it will really be a sucess, but there will always be a questionmark on your potential 2007 scudetto, especially if you don't have more than 8 points than us, and also because of Juventus not being here. |

Be sure that if Inter would have been second in the 2004-05 championship, Rossi would have attributed it too, there is no doubt.

Sigh.... I had tried to avoid this thread as I was doing so as the whole thing is quite moot already.
But something compels me to discuss my conscience about this whole matter. As much as the lot of us would like and truly feel we are indeed innocent of any wrongdoing regarding Moggipoli, why is it that we are gladly sucking Rossi/UEFA **** in order to be in the CL? Lets not forget that we are in a precarious situation here. While we have the whole hearted appearance of trying to vindicate ourselves, we at the same time have the "CL clause" dangling over our heads. It goes as such, when a person who is put on trial for heresy in order to save his/her life, he/she must accept and admission of guilt or face the pyre. What if by insisting our innocence meant our absence from the CL? Any of you willing to go that path? If not, how do any of us justify our position of innocence with any heart or conviction? In the end, like many may fear yet not willing to openly disclose, I fear that we lost the the trial in any court of justice and will lose in a trial of ordeal in this years CL campaign. It is so reminiscent of heresy... no vindication in the trial of justice and a damn near miracle in the trial of ordeal, like coming out alive of a burning pyre.

2)"What if by insisting our innocence meant our absence from the CL?" Ask Berlusconi. He is a businessman who knows how to do business and earn money. If kicking out of CL means too much of a pain financially then it's rather better for Milan to admit guilt. In any case, does it make a difference now when the world believes that Milan is quilty anyway? And, how many people will actually go to milan's website and read the short news that Milan feels outrageous for being accused of fixing a match in Serie B? Whatever the outcome, I believe that Milan is going through a very difficult period. And probably that's why there is no use about us bombing the management. You just gotta understand sometimes. (And of course, kick Inter's back please since they are the most opportunist). |

Why thank you for your reply. Kind of foolish for me to ask the question I knew what the answer would be. Still I had to ask.

I don't if you guys have noticed this new episode, since we've spent so much time following the transfer rumours... but this is big...
Juventus appealed now before an administrative court in Rome... why is this important? Because FIFA prohibits that football matters can be resolved in by ordinary law (instead of FIFA's)... therefore, FIFA has threatened with prohibiting Italian national team, and Italian clubs to take part in any tournament... Remember this happened in Greece a few months ago, and they had to correct that immediately so they could participate in Euro draw.... so this new appeal by Juve could cost every team a lot...

Well, I doubt that the FIGC will let it come to that SANT..I too have been following these developments, and to me, it smacks of what Juve seems to be all about: Juve..and **** everyone else...we will steal if we have to, but the universe revolves around Juve...
I am so sick of them...I really hope that the FIGC gets some balls, and instead of the measly 3 point deduction to their already deducted 17 points, should go for a demotion to Serie C...that would change Juve´s mind in a hurry...17 points, 20 points..same difference to me..but a whole division lower? That would put some thought into the empty, selfish Juve heads. And to go back to the last line of your post SANT, it will not only cost the clubs a lot, but also the Italian NT!! ![]()

The FIGC should threaten Juve to scrap them from the federation lists alltogether and then do it. Now that would be better than winning the champions league three times in a row.

I also have kept one eye on this, i don't see Juve being that stupid.
They'll argue against it of course saying they're being blackmailed into the situation "stop the court case or find your national team out of all competitions", "It's a conspiracy to stop us getting justice" ... etc, etc ... I'm sure with that looming over them they'll see sense and however much it hurts their pride they'll let it go for fear of the wrath of thousands of Italia supporters.

Jim, the recent euphoria of the Italian NT victory in the world cup aside...I dont think that Italians in general are so pre-Azzuri that Juve would actually "fear of the wrath of thousands of Italia supporters." as you wrote.
The deciding factor IMO, would be the FIGC making, as Billy1969 has indicated, such a sever punishment, that they wouldnt hesitate to drop this futile effort. This type of punishment is something even Juve fans would protest, and hence the club would have no choice but to back off.
