Look who's runnin the show?
The scandal was never MoggiPoli. That was a distraction. The real show was the failed coup followed by the succesful coup by Inter.
Sorry, you're right, my mistake, though point stays the same. Can't disagree about Inter, it hit me when their phonetap wasn't looked at.

There was a phone tapping involving Pairetto just like with Juve (being informed of which official would take charge of CL matches), which is how their downfall started. Funnily enough, the evidence was greater than that against Milan, where one of our officials complains of us getting screwed in a match. But unlike Juve, Inter's phonetap with Pairetto was never acted on.

Anyway, its over now, I just wanted to comment on the documentary when I bumped this thread. We prove ourselves and win on the pitch now.

i heard something today about Milan appealing to Figc about having the -8 sentence reduced... does anyone know when the outcome of this may be?

i dont want to dig into something that has been touched already, but did anyone else here watch a program on Bravo on Saturday about the great italian scandal? ------ soz i didnt notice acmilan1983 wrote about this already!

They raised the point about the Inter conspiracy, how even one of the gazzetta directors believe that there is more to scandal than we know.. They made the point that Inter are the only team to benefit from it...

Do you guys think if Inter have a dodgy season where they get Favourable results, would they be investigated like Milan?

sorry warro, it was late when i posted that.. Anyone else find this a bit fishy?

As soon as Rossi has done his job (sending juve into seria B and punishing Milan) he goes back to working for a company thats affliated with Inter...

FIGC in chaos as Rossi quits Friday 15 September, 2006 (edit from Channel4)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FIGC Commissioner Guido Rossi has sensationally taken charge of Telecom, so the Italian Federation is left looking for a new President.

Rossi only took over from Franco Carraro in an emergency capacity in May to lead Italian football through the Calciopoli scandal.

However, this evening he was sensationally announced as the new President of troubled Telecom Italia, replacing Inter shareholder Marco Tronchetti Provera at the helm. It’s a return, as he had also been in charge of the company for a few months in 1997.

This means Rossi must leave the world of sport and the FIGC must now find a new chief, especially with the tricky arbitration for those punished in the match-fixing trial coming up.

Incredibly, the move took those within the Italian football world by surprise. “I didn’t know anything about it and only read about this on the news,” confessed CONI President Gianni Petrucci.

Rossi had been hailed by some quarters as the saviour of calcio, but bitterly criticised by others, such as Fiorentina patron Diego Della Valle.

“I’m very glad he’s taking this position, I’m sure he’ll be well suited to the job,” sarcastically noted Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini.

“Now we’ll get a new President for the FIGC, it can’t be that hard. We must immediately call a meeting and elect a new Federal chief. I’ve been asking for this for a long time.”

If this isnt a perfect example of how fishy, currupt, and down right disgusting the world of football and politics can be, then I dont know what is.

Here is a man supposedly unbiased..who, as reward for gifting Inter a scudetto they couldnt win on the pitch, gets a high paid, "cushy" job.

I am not in the least bit surprised...what surprises me, is how the Italian public could be so blind to the original conflict of interest, that has now, with this action, been confirmed.

Thanks Graeme C! (Next time remember to post where the info came from)

I would like to say that news shocks me, but it doesn't. Rossi did his job for Inter this summer, there's not much else left for him to do now.

Not shocking at all. 'cept he needs to stay as FIGC head to make sure Inter's fax machine works perfectly. But he doesn't. Who will Inter turn to next year? Come on, you disappoints the Nerazzurri.

Forgot to mention the latest Four-Four-Two mag has an info on the scandal. And they did mention the Milan's invisible prosucation. Which is nothing. To those who wants to convince others, show them the article.

I heard last night Paparesta apparently tried to contact Galliani for a personal favour and that's why he's banned or something. Does anyone know the details of this, was pretty shocked to hear it tbh.

And now look who's part of the Telecom board.

ex-Presidente
Marco Tronchetti Provera (1)

Presidente
Guido Rossi

Vice Presidente
Gilberto Benetton

Amministratori Delegati
Carlo Orazio Buora (1) ------>PIRELLI(Inter main sponsor)
Riccardo Ruggiero (2)

Consiglieri
Paolo Baratta (indipendente) (3)
John Robert Sotheby Boas (indipendente)
Diana Bracco (indipendente)
Francesco Denozza (indipendente) (4)
Domenico De Sole (indipendente) (1) (4)
Luigi Fausti (indipendente) (3)
Guido Ferrarini (indipendente) (4)
Jean Paul Fitoussi (indipendente)
Enzo Grilli (indipendente)
Vittorio Merloni (indipendente)
Gianni Mion
Massimo Moratti
Marco Onado (indipendente) (1) (4)
Renato Pagliaro
Pasquale Pistorio (indipendente) (1) (3)
Carlo Alessandro Puri Negri
Luigi Roth (indipendente)

Now Pairetto's words seem more reasonable :
Pairetto(ref designator): "I talked to everyone, not only Moggi. Where did the other phone calls go?"

Why only Juventus, Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina and Reggina's phone calls were heard ? Why there was nothing on Inter ?
The answer is above.

And it's sad how even if there was evidence about Inter fixing matches, it is now destroyed.
