Look at previous posts which answered this. But for the summary, 50% is gross... so:
- the player wants 4M, after-tax
- the tax is 50%
- the after-tax = before-tax (100%) - tax (50%) = 50%
So:
if the after-tax = 50% = 4M, the before-tax = 100% = 4M x 2 = 8M

The before-tax salary is 8M.... 4M (50%) goes to government (tax), and 4M (50%) goes to player (after-tax salary)

Really good idea. If Italy can learn the Spain, we could have our B team playing in Serie C1/2, so no need loaning out or co-ownership.

The probable clubs are Manchester City and Chelsea.

If it had to happen, 2 thoughts:
- the guy said that in Europe, he would play for Milan or Real, nothing else
- if he goes to Manchester City, it will be a joke, didn't he refuse to leave to Manchester City (despite the big offer) in January 2009 to then go to Real Madrid "to financially help our club" ?

id carletto was interested i could see him goin to chelsea, that being said, i dont think carletto is interested. so he stay @ madrid or gets loaned to a team back home.

i still think we need a rb. i dont think that papa is a rb. i think he is a great 3rd cd.

Yes, agree.
Sokratis should be there to allow Allegri to do some rotation, especially for Nesta. Abate can be the backup for RB. So we need one player, a starting RB. The problem is to find a cheap and good enough player there to start in our team, and if possible, not a non-EU player.

Van Der Wiel

Van Der Wiel will be an unbelievable improvement for us. But he would cost around 15mil Euro, and nowdays, this number is impossible for us. Milan will only spend that much money on a "champion".....but then again we can allow ourselves to pay their wages, so we'll just stay as we are.

The funny thing is that this squad can be drastically improved with about 25mil. Yet our management insists in continuing with the same team that has continuously failed for some time now. And not only failed, but hasn't even challenged seriously for titles. Being 1 point back with 2 months to go of the season is not challenging for medals. Being 1 point back with 2 games to go is challenging and I can't remember the last time that happened.

I just hope something changes in this last month of the market.

Unless V der Wiel costs £2.50 and choc ice he aint coming.Thats not my price it was football italia magazine , the article is on point about needing new players clearing the old guy's without spending silly money.

I think that with smart loan signings and 25 million spent when we were supposed to have 20 million and sold storari bought papa so that would 5 over the supposed budget , damn its annoying but nothing we can do.

To pay a player 4 million we have to incur costs of 8 million. The 8 million gross amount is taxed, not the net amount. The 4 you see is net.

A top class ACM is needed to bring Milan to new level if we couldn't force DInho play there.

But now we may need a solid RB more because that is our weakness now.

Changing to N.17 didn't help Oddo much, great chance Allegri will use Abate as RCM, Sokratis didn't impress there, Bonera could play, but seeing the errors he made, I can't be sure.

With Zambrotta, there are total 5 players who could play RB, but the fear remains. It is still early, but could the problem be fixed in one month?

Bottom line is to compete a certain amount has to spent and while the taxes are high in Italy it is not the only 'big league country' where it is so. I still don't care about economics, I just know Milan can be great even without Real type spending.

Well, I've looked at starting line up of Milan today by chance, and... we started with 4 RBs: Oddo, Socratis, Bonera, Zambrotta. Funny.

About Hernanes, he is 25 already and at his peak, means he (maybe) is the most expensive now and will leave no interest if sell again. 14M € is fair price, but the deal is not complete yet.

I can not get any idea who is our new CM, too secret.
