What's this comment ? It means nothing ... Thiago Silva, Juan, Lucio, Kaka', Adriano, Julio Baptista, etc: I just give you few names of players who are not easily outmuscled ?!

About Elano, it's a good player, a good squad player, which means this guy, in Milan for example, wouldn't shine by himself, he would be a part of the team, not the star. This kind of player is needed. Then would Elano be good in Milan ? I don't know, but the rythm in Italy is a bit slower than in England, so I think he could do better than when he was there.

Hleb is a more attacking solution, taking him would mean Allegri doesn't have a complete faith in Ronaldinho (which I hope is the case) to play as a central AM.

Dos Santos, well, it seems he has only managed to do great performances with his NT.

Anyway, we don't need one of these players, we need 2 of them (my choice would be 2 of VdV, Hleb and Elano).

Hey GeoTav, I haven't watched full matches this pre-season, but how would you rate Sokratis's performances?

Hasan, he's been solid. He has speed and strength and doesn't stop running... a couple of times I have seen him chasing his player from his RB position all the way to the center of the pitch. He is very good in the air too. He might be our starting RB not because he's good enough but because we don't have anyone else good enough. He should be our first choice backup for CB, I think there is plenty of room for improvement as he's 22.

First game (against Arsenal): played as a RB. Decent performance, solid in defense but not very useful when going forward, but it seems the guy is a bit smarter than Oddo, he probably knows he isn't that useful forward so he didn't try to help in attack too much, just here and there when really needed.

Anyway, his lack of pace (even Gomis was faster, which is weird as Gomis isn't a very fast player) is also maybe because of the few days of preparation of the team compared to Lyon who will play their first league game this Saturday. It will be more interesting to follow him during the next friendly games.

It has also to be said that the guy seems to have managed to already become a part of the team, I don't know if you know what I mean, you see, sometimes, players need time to understand the way the partners play, I think Sokratis won't need much time.

PS: You missed some fresh air by not watching Milan-Lyon, especially the beginning of the second half. The young players showed some will, some energy and were involved in the superb goal (a lesson of collective football given to Lyon) we scored.

Thanks a lot guys. GeoTav--I saw highlights, but yes, I should have made time to watch some games. Looks like he is a lot better than what we have with the exceptions of Nesta and Thiago Silva. Sounds like a good addition then.

If we can offload him for decent fee (or for nothing, doesn't matter much) I'd count it as a success in mercato. How sad.

By the way, it's obvious that if we want to play 4-3-1-2, there is only one possibly good solution for that attacking midfielder in the market: Kaka.

Hillarious ! i think every time oddo/zamb/kaldze etc play in the first 11 the rival team should pay a part of the wage for them as they will mostluy end up helping the other team more than Milan ! galliani can be an innovator and create a new concept in professional football !

Yeah, I really missed the game. Just reading the comments here about our youngsters already made me enthused. I hope I can watch the next game (only managed to watch 15-20 minutes of the first friendly but you how 'good' was our play in that game).

First off all, im a Gala fan, i followed both Elano and Giovanni Dos Santos many times last season, watched almost all games...

Gala fans would celebrate if Gala sells Elano, cuz he let them down, he almost did nothing all season, Turkish League is hard league, playing hard, hard tackles, this is why Elano failed. All that he can do is playing long balls.

if you have a system for Elano, he can be succesful, which Brazil NT with Dunga had it. yet in 4-3-1-2 we dont have any room for Elano, especially for a soft player like him. Believe me guys, he wont add anything to our squad.
after Players like Elano signed, Gala MGT started to say, they give up Elano typee of signings and sign players who fights on the pitch.

Regarding Dos Santos, he is talented yet his defensive game is almost zero, for team defence, its a big worry, and plus, i watched many games, Dos Santos is lost so many times, 10-15 mins, he is really active, then you wonder if he plays in starting line up, cuz he is completely lost. His continuity was bad as well.

i'd rather to have VDV or Hleb, if we have chance to sign Honda, i'd take noone of them and take Honda...
