AC Milan vs. Barca (1/2 CL, 1st leg)

Im gonna die untill tommorow, cant wait. WE ARE MILAN, 6 times CHAMPION OF EUROPE, not Barca, Milan! Sheva,Gila,Kaka,Sedorf,MAldini,Nesta,Serginho,Gattuso..........lets destroy Barca tommorow with some crazy play!!

If Pippo is not gonna be alright - then Sheva and Gila...but not Sheva only - that is for sure. I am not putting a "stamp of incapacity" on Gila yet...if thats what you mean...If he plays in starting line up he can very possibly score against Barca. He should do his best, I m sure he understands it...thats his kinda last chance to prove his right for the place in the first team. Although Pippo is still much better (at least couse he is experienced).
We cannot play christmas tree against Barca, coz we need to score...one striker is not enough for that, even if its Sheva.
Also I think that Serginho is a very necessery figure for this match - he has a very high running speed. Gattuso with no doubt is necessery guy for this match to stop Barca's attacks in the middle of the field. Kaka, Sheva, Nesta, Pirlo and Dida with no question are going to start.

I share your anxiety. I have a weird feeling it will be Gila who will be the MoM tomorrow.

I respectfully disagree with you - I think we can play one forward tomorrow.
This IS the 1st leg, it is a chess game and we are playing the black at the San Siro's pitch - cannot afford to allow Barca to score.
Nou Camp's game will be our white, we will have to score.
These all valid until all hell breaks loose in either game. Remember Chelsea - Barca last year?

I have the feeling that gila will score his first CL goal 2.

Am also sure that sheva will add to his champs total: am pumped up for this game 2moz. 19 hours or so to go

Gattuso - Pirlo - Seedorf - Kaka - Gila - Sheva are certain to start..

The biggest problems come in defence. Ancelotti subbed Cafu out in the middle of the Inter game, so I assume he will use him at some point in todays game. ACMilan.com announced that Stam will be injured and will miss both legs against Barca. His selection in the squad I believe indicates that he will play. I would really play Stam-Nesta-Maldini-Serginho with Cafu coming in for Stam if we concede early. I believe having 2 offensive full backs in important against a team like Barca. It will not only push them back, but it will give them alot of problems.

Kaladze has been playing well recently and CB. But he made alot of mistakes in the 2 legs vs Lyon and I agree with alex22, 70% Stam/Maldini = 100% Kaladze. I dont think he should play in this game since we have most of our defence back.

im so disappointed that Pippo missed the game im wishing for a 2-0 score.. and then if we score at barca they will need 4!

gila probably shud not build up pressure on him coz he knows if he playes well he will not be substituted! its a gr8 oppoturnity for him to make a mark! amoroso might just get a chance in the dying minutes if we have done the job(i.e. 3-0) no point in being pessimistic and assesing our chances for victory coz so far we have done really well and should be ready to accept a defeat!
