martin you made a very strong point, i wonder what is really going on behind the scences. Our president is one of the richest men in the world yet we lost countless transfer duels in recent years because we dont want to spend. I really wish they can remove Galliani/Braida. I dont like the way they manage Milan. Sign a player, keep him till 35, then get new 30 yr old freebies. If they see a nice promising talent but not is not more expensive than 5 million, they say lets give it a shot!

For crying out load, Madrid is a team who is doin ten times better than us this season and yet they already bought 3 PROMISING players from South America already for January. January isnt till 2 more weeks and they already did their move and they weren't desperate at all. They got a great LB in Marcelo, Higuain who was also our target, and Fernando Gago who was also a Milan target for recent years. Milan, IMO should be the most desperate team in the world right now to make transfers, and they are saying "we dont need, we trust in our players, we have been unlucky, the penalty has hit us hard, we have 9 players injured (i have no fkin clue where do these 9 players come from? i can only count up to 4!)

martin you also said how hypocritical that i started supporting gila, you are wrong.. i still think he should be sold because he has been utterly useless so far, but today was different..we saw an all new gilardino who fought for the ball, moved alot, did not dive AS MUCH.. i liked it, i hope he keeps it up.

May be we have a huge debt that the management is hiding from us.
Yes, from a psychological aspect it is clear that the team is very weak mentally. but what i am wondering is how come the management does not see that we need a new ideology, a new system. To do that we need a change of tactics that arents as predictable n a new coach to employ these tactics. we have a few key pieces to build around; nesta, kaka, gorcuff, gila. i think that if we brought in a new coach, he wud change the middle field or make it more flexible. ie. robben(sneider)----pirlo(ambro)---gattuso(gorky). one system has wingers and the other one is similar to our current one minus seedorf.

Milan is sick, very sick. What a bad game again. We can be very lucky that we managed to get one point, because we didn't deserve it.
And why does Ancelotti starts again with one striker and why does he wait so long to bring on a 2nd one ?? I think Carlo's time is running out ...
In January and in July we must force our squad for sure. Some players are past their prime, other ones are no Milan-quality.

I agree. I always thought that Carlo was no top coach. An average one, not more.

The 1 striker thing wasn't a bad idea. Playin Gourcuff over Seedorf would have helped immensely though. If it's one thing I don't like about Carlo, it's the overwhelming faith he has in Seedorf.

Totally agreed. Two totally different useable systems. We don't want emergency system. We want our players to be able to play comfortably in both systems. If we want to play Gila and Inzaghi together we better buy some fast wingers with good crosses.

We really need to get rid of seedorf from the starting lineup. He is really finished in Milan. May be he can only be good to win ONE CL for a team only, and after that he should be going elsewhere.

Our official milan website has running out of things to say and encourage the fans.
The welcome page doesn't show players celebrating goal or in action that often. I think even the web designer is disappointed.

What a bad game for both teams. A draw is a real result, but a goaless draw not a draw with 4 goals. Ancelotti I dont know what he thinks about when he needs to make a change and waits so long. I think a player needs more then 10 min to do something in the game. Seedorf looked really good at the begining of the season but now I dont know what is going on with him but he looks bad, to many bad passes... I hope better times will come for us Rossoneri fans !

First of all congrats to Gila ... I didn't see the match but I see from your posts that we still have the same problems as usual ... a too stubborn coach that doesn't make due changes on time neither dare taking risks ... but most of all is that he can't inspire the guys no more ... our players most of the time look sluggish they seem to need some energy shot - like an intravenous redbull or something ... Our players - especially Seedorf and Pirlo - need to know that in the pitch they must BEHAVE AND ACT like leaders, as an example to follow ... so play with energy man! show the other players how they must play, get in charge of the situation, take the responsibility for the performance ... what happens? ... aren't you inspired no more? ... can't you believe in yourself? ... WTF are you waiting for? ... serie B??? ... Fuk off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

didn't watch the match on purpose, just looking at the statistics : last year we lost in Firenze 3-1 and we were doing a lot better than this year. 2-2 ? 2 goals by Gilardino? Yeah seeing the statistics this is a good result, we got a point where I expected none and seems Gilardino found the way to goal again.

Now we need to win the last 2 games of 2006, at home vs. Catania to regain some points vs. a direct contender for the fourth place and then win in Udinese, where we drawed last year... that would put us on 20 points. A good base to start from in January.

Pirlo and Seedorf are no leader material. That is why Milan get Gattuso back so early even he is not totally fit. He is one of a few that can still inspire the team. In the past we still have Maldini and Sheva that can bring the team up. But now Sheva is gone, Maldini is so often injured, no one can really create spark anymore. Kaka is still a shy guy so can't expect him to do this leadership job. We are lacking some inspiration character. (I am thinking about Steven Gerrard, he is why Liverpool won against us 2 years ago. He has the skill as well as that influence to spark up the team.) We need someone like him.

Ancelotti looks on bright side

Saturday 16 December, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Carlo Ancelotti couldn’t restore Milan to winning ways, but he was happy with the performance at the Stadio Franchi.

“We played well and, due to our errors, went 2-1 down, but the team reacted well and was able to bring home a deserved point that boosts morale.”

The Rossoneri had opened the scoring after just four minutes with Alberto Gilardino, but needed the striker to complete his brace in the final minute to secure a 2-2 draw at Fiorentina.

“The lads approached the game in the right spirit. Our only mistake was the counter-attack on which Adrian Mutu scored. We are improving, though, and that is a good sign.”

Milan have won just one of their last eight Serie A games and could be left even further behind the European places at the end of this weekend.

The best news from this match was the return of Gilardino, who broke his goal drought with two strikes at the Stadio Franchi.

“It started well, then we ended up behind. Thankfully we managed to get a point out of it,” said the former Parma man.

“This shows that Milan are still alive and kicking. We really want to prove our worth and, in terms of character and determination, this is an important signal. At this moment in time, we need the little satisfactions to boost confidence.”

The next test is the midweek round against high-flying Catania, who are pushing for a place in the top four.

“We still have a lot of areas to improve in, but we hope to do well on Wednesday. There are another two games before the Christmas break, when we can rest and work hard over 10 days to hopefully return in good shape.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Keep brighting MR Ancelotti!!!

Yup; I'm not happy with the team at all, after seeing them play today. It's the moment of brilliance by Gila that seemed to have save our day. Other than that, bad game.
