I agree Stitch. While I appreciate Borriello and take pride that he is a Milan youth product, he does not know what to do once he's won the ball or when he's played. Yes, he works hard, and when he's given proper service, he actually does finish.

However, in games like this, where Ronaldinho or Pirlo are being isolated, he's going to have more time on the ball, and Borriello does little with it at this point. That is the difference between Dzeko and Borriello, in games like this, what is he going to do with the ball if he's not about to shoot?

Honestly, Abate has not been that bad. He's clearly not a RB, and I honestly think that he would be excellent in midfield, his passing is better than most people think and his crossing is superb. The only other option is Janku on left, putting Antonini right, or putting an unfit Bonera on our right. I really hope Bonera can come back fit, because, while I don't think Favalli is bad, its just in this system his lack of pace and his style of play does not fit the system. Bonera's increased physicality would really be a help right now.

Honestly, Inter are now just going to play even UGLIER than they all ready do. This is what they do, they hit long balls and hope, and with our ****ty luck, they got that lucky deflection (they all most got the first one with the amazing Dida save) but that is how Mourinho's team plays. Nothing is deliberate, they just hit and hope. I hate watching Milan play against this style.

I hope Borriello can prove me wrong and show that he can do something with the ball when he has that time. That is really a big key to this game, its also important to see how Beckham plays, because Ronaldinho is obviously going to be doubled up, and the only way to release him, or to punish this overloading is to make sure that our right side (Abate and Beckham) can get the ball and move Inter's shape around.

Stitch is an unknown quantity at this point
the referee is really awful. first he sends sneijder off for clapping, then he compensates by not giving us a penalty when maicon used his hand in the box. and then he doesn't dare to give another red to inter, after muntari's awful foul on gattuso.

Inter completely outplayed us in the first half. We were awfully bad. It's only Sneijder's stupidity that saved us from conceding second. The linesman on our left is blind, Milito in constantly offside, even for the goal it was suspicious.

We have two good players on the pitch: Pirlo and Gattuso. Other are average to bad. Borriello can't do nothing because he's all alone in the box, and though he has guts, he doesn't have quality. When Pato isn't there, there's no-one to help him. Our midfield must push up more, Beckham isn't acting like a winger, but like a midfielder, Abate is always on our side, we really can't use Beckham's potential with Abate on his side. Gattuso and Ambro are hesitating to push up too.

I can see Seedorf coming on for the second half, I just hope it won't be for Gattuso, because without him we will concede another one. For me, Zambrotta needs to replace Abate, or I would put Huntelaar/Pippo in and Bekcham out, Borriello on the right, because that side with Beckham and Abate clearly isn't functioning and Borriello really needs support.

We were very poor on the ball when pressured. For the first 20 minutes, this game had the feel of the Palermo game. Sneijder was stupid for petulantly applauding the ref, no doubt about that. If he was a smart lad, he would have just shut up and continued playing, I guess Jose is starting to rub onto him a bit, which is sad to see. Abate cost us the goal, which I put down to his inexperience in dealing with a bouncing ball in defense :P, and the fact that he really can't defend. We're more balanced because Becks can come down to look out for him when he marauds forward, but Becks can't cover for him all the time.

Second half will be our half. Whatever the outcome, its all up to us now. I'm still optimistic about our chances, especially since their best player got himself sent off. Our mid-field has to step up a bit though, cause I don't see us running or positioning for the second balls after our initial shots have been blocked off, we actually were attacking in waves against Juve and Genoa.

We need some players to step up.

This is true, especially in this version of 4-3-3

The ref has been really bad in this game...giving cards where they shouldn't exist and calling fouls that should not be fouls. Our attack is lacking fluidity, whenever we go forward our players are usually crowded out. You'd think that with 2 DM's, we'd be able to control the game better, but our center midfield is having trouble containing Inter.

Seedorf is coming on now I believe...probably for a DM.

I honestly have to say, Inter are a dirty team. I remember watching them against Roma earlier this year and just being shocked at how dirty a team they are. I have no problem saying when a team I hate plays better than my team, but, honestly, Mourinho's "tactics" are just to over-power and out-foul the other team.

Favalli isn't playing poorly, but, it's leaving Abate more exposed, and that's why Inter scored. Plus, the amount of fouls that Inter are getting away with, boggles my mind.

I honestly think that it might be useful to take off Beckham and put on Seedorf, but, I wish Beckham was taking the free kicks for us, Pirlo's been pretty good today, but, his set piece delivery has been poor.

Second half is Dinho's half, it has to be.
I agree. On Favalli, he was fine himself, but he couldn't be a Nesta who covered Abate well.

The referee was not too bad tonight, but it wasn't like anything favoring us at all.

Pandev and Milito dived so many times, and I am still doubtful about the goal they scored on us. Wasn't Milito offside? I couldn't see well. If he was from an offside position, then it wouldn't matter if it was Abate who passed to him, as Milito was chasing the ball which automatically demonstrates his "intention" to benefit from it. Also, Milito had a later chance which was also from offside.

R80 might have escaped a yellow, but the Beckham got a yellow due to referee's stupidity; what's more, a similar foul on Beckham by Cambiasso didn't lead to a yellow.

Maicon should be shown the card for diving to Borriello's challenge.

I am favoring putting in one more attacker, to take advantage of this number inequality.

Forza Milan! We will win today!

I think we were overwhelmed at the start which lead to the goal. Abate's mistake was terrible and gifted Inter the goal but we as a team didn't start the match at all well. We've taken the whole first half just to get into the game, but Sneijder's sending off could be very beneficial. We need to play the second half more compact and we need more players to support Borriello up front (Dinho should pull in central more imo).
