Entertaining this idea though, if it was between us and Chelsea, we'd win as he's said he wouldn't want to play for them and if he did leave Barca it would be to Milan.

Here is a more reliable source Jim...

Ronaldinho in Barça 'rift'

Reports suggest Brazilian fell out with coach

Les Roopanarine
Tuesday August 29, 2006
Guardian Unlimited

Ronaldinho has discovered that superstar status is no guarantee of a first-team spot at the Nou Camp following reports that he was dropped from the squad to face Celta Vigo last night.

It was initially suggested that a thigh injury, picked up in last week's Uefa Super Cup defeat to Sevilla, would rule Ronaldinho out of last night's La Liga opener. "He received a blow to his left thigh during last Friday's European Super Cup match," read a club statement. "The bruising is still painful so he is not in condition to play."

However, a report in today's Sun suggests that Frank Rijkaard axed Ronaldinho from the squad that travelled to the Balaidos after the 26-year-old failed to report for training on Saturday. If the claim is accurate, Ronaldinho has fallen foul of a club rule whereby any player who does not train 48 hours before a match is dropped, a basic tenet of the Rijkaard regime.
With an extension to Ronaldinho's existing contract - which expires in 2010 and includes a buy-out clause of £85m - yet to be agreed, Chelsea and Milan are believed to be monitoring the situation with interest.

Ronaldinho's absence failed to stop Barcelona from making a winning start to the season, as Eidur Gudjohnsen's 88th-minute goal secured a 3-2 victory.
They do refer to the Sun, which is a little worrying...but who cares? ITs SiLlY SeAsOn. and though soon to end...lets enjoy them while they last!

To be honest; I don't think he will be coming. I think this is the first time I really write and express my view about it, and the reason is quite simple: Newspaper just don't know which player Milan will land on, really. And so EVERYDAY they have to make up some news. After all, there are not many days left!

I could well be the editor-in-chief of a newspaper and say, "Hey Milan is interested in Henry AGAIN!" or something like this. I'm taking newspaper's words very carefully; they are just not very good at predicting who MIlan will buy except those obvious.

ROnaldinho? Well too obvious. (Ok feel free to quote me aboslutely wrong if he does come which I doubt so )

I think Milan going for Oliveira us not just about Oliveira. As some people said. Next year Ronaldinho could be ours.

If Barcelona is known for something, it's for cashing on their star players.
Stoichkov, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Figo. They were all stars of the team, and were concidered to be the best in the world or among the best 3, just like Ronaldinho is now, and they all left the club for huge amount of dollars.
And another thing : 3 of them left Barcelona for an Italian team
Maybe no money can get us a player from Chelsea, Real Madrid or Juventus, but when Barcelona is concerned, then every player is for sale.

How much money did Rivaldo's departure leave to Barcelona?

I can't find the information, but i found out that he still had 1 year of his contract when he left, and Milan payed him 4.8 M EURO per season.

As for the others ,
Ronaldo went to Inter for 30 M dollars, which was huge at the time, in 1997
Figo in 2000 left Barcelona for Real, and Real payed 56 M dollars
As for Stoichkov, it was 15 M dollars, which was among the biggest transfers of the time.

So, it is obvious that when good offer comes, Barcelona sells, no matter if it's Ronaldo, Figo or Ronaldinho

Barca are in serious economic problems and this may influence their decision as to whether or not to keep Ronaldinho.

This may also be the bottom line regarding the issue over his image rights...if he refuses to give them a "cut" from his earnings...then they could be a trifle miffed...

Wouldnt make me sell the player, in and of itself, but if he:
a) Is not negotiating re his image rights
b) Is stalling over signing a new improved contract (which may or may not have anything to do with (a)
c) Is having a riff with the coach

It could result in him being sold...after all, they have Messi...

Ronaldinho's situation is eerily similar to Sheva's. Professing his love for a club, speculation about leaving which was denied by him (I think), now a rift with the coach. What next, his girlfriend wants to learn Italian?

I find it VERY hard to believe this. After 2 domestic titles in a row, one champions league, great shirt selling campaign?

This is just wishful thinking...

Ronaldinho will stay at Barcelona. At least for now.
