Gobbiati publicly revealed last week that he was a fascist.

midfield is set till 2010 and attack is good we just need pipo replacement
This attitude is the reason of our defense problems we have now. For years we did nothing. And you really want to do this again in the middlefield? Then we will have the same problems in the middlefield in some years.
I agree, that Galliani won't buy new players in this winter. At one ponit because there are only few players on the market, and second because there won't be much money left.
But for next season some new players have to come, and some have to go. You can't always relax and trust on this team. This team has won a lot and players like ambro have given a lot to Milan. But this dosen't mean that they have their places for sure. And forever.

it's not ok, alban, and it can't be ok.

maybe for inter, or lazio, that would be ok, but not for milan.

our club has different values than that.

I agree Stitchie old boy but some people can only see the result/scoreline and that's a shame....Milan isn't just about football and trophies...I'd like to think it's about values and ideals as well. To me THAT is what separates us from the other big clubs especially Real and PRINTER

even though I agree 100% with you said, i must add something, Milan is like any other club(busiess) they talk about values and ethics all the time but when these values and ethics get on t their way they don't ****ing care about it.
Berlu him self said some racist and facist stuff in 2004 and then apologized when he realized that it affects his business, players like Roony in ManUtd and Gravasen in Real Madrid had there own racial opinions as well and no one blamed them because there was no reaction (unlike what happened with Berlu), so values and ethics are great and priceless for ordinary people like us but it means nothing to business owner unless it increases their revenues.

but abbiati isnt that good nor has he been at milan long enough. Granted hes been here and left off and on but still. I'm saying i undestand if paolo or say gattuso said these things we'd let it slide... but sorr abbiati has a shorter leash.

I personall dont think abbiati is that great, he'll collapse, he always does. And yes it bothers me he makes statements like that. And yes i think he should go because of it

How can you say that?
What's the difference who said it?
A stupid insulting statement is what it is, no mater who said it.

look I DON'T LIKE ABBIATI i would like him to go away from Milan but right now we need him cause we don't have any better goalkepper. In the winter i would like us to buy Ustari or Carrizo it would be amazing cause i know we have values but we NEED him.
Forza Milan.

stop talking about Abbiati's political statement... this thread is EXCLUSIVELY about the winter transfer market...

if you're going to critize him, do it based on his performance on the pitch, please...

I have my comments about that too, but we're not going to get anywhere talking about it, so move on... thanks for understanding.

I know this forum isn't meant for political discussions, but this whole Abbiati-gate complicates that rule. For example isn't it possible that politics can influence the way clubs conduct their tranfer-business? If a player (who was marvellous on the pitch) had attended a Nazi-rally, would any club, say, OUR club, sign him? - or should they? If that player was already at the club, wouldn't it make sense to ship him out ASAP?

I'm not saying Abbiati did anything as bad as attend such a meeting, but still his statement was highly controversial - and in the eyes of many disgusting. Wouldn't it be reasonable for those people to request that he be sold? After all the club's image is very important, and is determined by more than what goes on on the pitch.

Perhaps we are "going nowhere" talking about his statements, but doesn't that apply to anything discussed on an internet forum? People might not end up agreeing but at least they have a chance to speak their mind.

I do agree, however, that such a discussion isn't suited for the "Winter Mercato"-thread, the "Christian Abbiati our #1"-thread was better - but that's closed now...I do understand why it's been closed, as the discussion turned to a strictly political one, which of course it shouldn't.

Anyway, if you (as a mod) don't agree I won't bring this up again and I'll put my Abbiati-poster back up on my wall
