And Leonardo confirmed what I said in this topic about that !!
Aadiyah is not inserted in any list for the CL (he had to be on the main list, he couldn't be in the B list like Pato because this B list is for U21 players in the club since at least 2 years) just because he didn't put a foot in Milanello yet !!

He will only arrive in Milan Monday, so what do you expect from him ? Being used one week later against Manchester United ? Like I said, the guy can become the next big thing, it is normal that he is not inserted in this list as he isn't really a Milan player yet !!

Another good game by Pastore yesterday. The first 3 months in Serie A he kinda sucked but now he's such a classy player and he's not even 21 yet (I think). Shame he plays for Palermo, meaning that we can never sign him.
Wouldn't call it fked-up-bigtime considering we don't have any money to spend anyways. I really doubt we could find many talents that would make it to our CL squad for 1.5 M euro's.

dzeko will never be half as good as torres is..he doesnt even have the potential to be such a player..and as others said torres is not old too, actually he is 25(!!)..

i would risk the injury prone thing if it was to have a player like torres, just imagine him with pato and dinho(fit)in front..

DONT GET GET CAUGHT UP IN FANTASY FOOTBALL!!! for a team looking to rebuild, buying a "liability" like torres would be a wrong move... injury prone player who spends more time on the treatment table than on the field... and on what do you use to judge Dzeko in terms of him being having the potential to be like Torres or better?

How did Torres become injury prone all of a sudden? I know he has missed a lot of games this season, but that is the first time in his career where he has suffered numerous injuries in one season. When you are as good as Torres is, you get marked hard, and that will lead to injuries. Kaka, Shevchenko and Nesta all went through that sometime during their time here but we didn't seem to mind. Injuries are part of the game, we can't deny the chance of signing a great player just because he has had a couple of injuries this season.

Please don't be sarcastic. How much did you actually saw from Dzeko to judge this? Even now Dzeko is better than "half as good as Torres". WTF is Torres anyway? A pale copy of Shevchenko, and he always will be that. He'll never be the best striker in the world even in this nowdays' football! On the other hand, Dzeko will be new Van Nistelrooy, make of that what you want.

Why couldn't he? Because he's Bosnian? Guess what, our current NT coach, Safet Sušić, was announced the best PSG player EVER by France Football lately, in competition of players like George Weah, Ronaldinho, Djorkaeff, Luis Fernandez, Ginola, Leonardo (our), Joel Bats... So please stop underrating Dzeko just because he's Bosnian.

We should sign: David Luiz, Rene Adler or Federico Marchetti, Mattia Cassani, Gareth Bale, VDV or Luka Modric and Dzeko! If we want some succes

you dont know what you're talking about obviously..
torres=a pale copy of sheva???
dzeko=new van nistelroy??(not that redicilous, but again too much)

who talked about bosnia dude?!if you knew me better as a poster you'd never write the craps you wrote in the 2nd paragraph..i dont give a **** where is he from,or where anybody comes from."Why couldn't he? Because he's Bosnian? Guess what, our current....." =PATHETIC..your answer is insane, out of topic and redicilous..

torres is a gr8 talent,as good as dzeko may be he is too different, and too less quality player than torres..

(glad to say)we see football from other point of views.

Torres is certainly great striker but he also injured a lot.last season only managed 24 match out of 38 league match.this season already miss 10 league match.and given his price tag(50 million at least,80 million is more likely) it just not a sensible investment.Torres is the best striker???whoever said that, must've been watching too much EPL if you ask me.Torres is prolific striker but he's not the only one. Milito,Villa,Drogba and even Rooney is on par with him right now.even in Spanish NT he's second behind Villa.

In all fairness, part of the reason why Torres has been injured is partly b/c Pool over uses him too much.

I think a few things need to be straightened out.

Revolver has a good point that Dzeko being Bosnian means that he is not as highly rated if he was some other country. If Dzeko played for England, we'd be bombarded with how English football will take over the earth.

Torres being this player who is peerless is also, not on the mark. I think Torres is a great player, but, saying that Dzeko can never be the type of player that Torres is not just unfair, but seems to ignore the sort of things that Dzeko has done, especially in the last two seasons.

If you ask me, this season has been more impressive than last season for Dzeko. Why? He was scoring with Grafite (who is playing poorly this year) while they were on the Bundesliga winning team, so, when a team is successful, its much easier to come on and play well. This year, Wolfsburg currently are 12th in the table and have scored 37 goals in the league. Dzeko has 9 goals and 7 assists, meaning that of the 37 goals Wolfsburg have scored, 16 are the direct result of Dzeko's efforts. That means that 43% of Wolfsburg offensive production is Dzeko alone.

Now, statistics don't always offer the best way to illustrate how good a player is, but, I don't think anyone wants to just watch videos of Dzeko's goals, off-the-ball running, or passes, but, if you are so inclined, they are very impressive. Plus, he's a Milan fan, wants to play for us, and when was the last time you ever saw a Spanish player come to Serie A and do well?

The arguments against Torres are few, but they are compelling. Yes, he is fantastic. However, its clear that he is becoming more and more injury prone. Maybe this wasn't a problem before, but, it is becoming a problem now. He would be ridiculously expensive, and would mean that Seedorf will have to start 40 games a year, again. As I said earlier, I can't remember the last Spanish player who came to Serie A and did well. Not saying that they are not good players, but, this is one of those things that just seems to continue.

I would rather have Dzeko than Torres, even if the prices were the same. Dzeko is two years younger than Torres, thats two extra years of life. He'd be cheaper. He's a Milan fan, and that would make his effort increase just that little extra bit. It also means he might take a lower wage to ensure the transfer went through.

Dzeko is a fantastic player, that's why Man Utd, Arsenal, and all the other big clubs are tracking him. To say he's not on the same level as Torres now, I could see that argument, I wouldn't necessarily agree with it, but I'd see why someone would say that. However, to say that Dzeko does not have the same kind of potential is not right. Torres is turning 26, he's supposed to be close to the peak of his powers, and if this is close to his best, and Dzeko, who's 23, is still developing, and yet to play in a club like Liverpool or with a team with the same amount of talent as Spain;* I honestly think that Torres has had the easier ride to the top and Dzeko being where he is makes him have the more potential.

Dzeko playing for Bosnia and having to go through the clubs he did, means that he had to work harder to get to the top. Dzeko is still playing very well, even though his team is playing very poorly, and when you consider the sort of form he has shown for Wolfsburg, being a bottom-half-of-the-table side, it means that his goal scoring exploits is more impressive, and, more importantly, more appropriate for the issues that Milan has. Our problem is that when we are playing bad, we don't score. When we are playing well, we are unbeatable. We have not had our designated striker be our top-scorer in years, and Dzeko would offer that, he can score even when a team is playing poorly, and is able to provide assists in great number, something Borriello, Inzaghi, and Huntelaar are not as good at.

So in terms of potential? I'm not sure if its as clear cut that Torres is in another category, because clearly Man Utd, Inter, Arsenal, and Milan don't think so. Plus, Dzeko has shown better form in more difficult situations that Torres, and he's also the safer and cheaper option.

If you ask me? Dzeko plus 25 million to spend on other players, or just Torres? I'd take Dzeko every time.

(*I don't think Bosnia doesn't have talent, they are an amazing attacking unit, but they are lacking that sturdiness to support the impressive offense they have. This means that Dzeko's achievements are even more impressive, as his 14 goals in 23 appearances illustrate, especially in comparison to Torres' 23 goals in 73 appearances.)

I like Dzeko.he's good.not as good as Torres right now honestly but nonetheless he's got huge potential. The fact that he only wants Milan made me likes him more.In fact, i like Balkan players.Milan got a good repertoire with Balkan players(Savicevic,Boban, remember them?)so,bring on Dzeko next season along with Krasic,Vidic,Jovetic(sorry,I got carried away)shame we miss out on Pandev.

Great post Samaldinho....

Completely agree with us going for Dzeko, instead of Torres...I dont want us to sign Torres for 50 mln & lose Pato (obviously) which makes us same foolish as Crap REAL. ....that wud be disastrous for us...Torres may be better now than Dzeko, just coz he is plaing with Lpool.....Dzeko is with Wolfsburg who are playing very poor this season....Real can buy anyone who they wany as Real is a club invested by so many shareholders....which means money will always roll in

plus Dzeko is a big time Milan Fan.....who was the last person u remember rejecting other big offers from big clubs & saying " I just want MILAN" ----i dont remember any off late.....

did u guys see the BOLOGNA-MILAN game.....in my opinion this was milans worst game of the season...had no attacking edge....didnt know what to do with the ball in fact....Borriello should be 2nd fav..he works really hard, but we need a WC striker in that position....Mancini is a bad bad signing. did nothing at all......I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED AFTER WATCHING THE GAME......

Dzeko+Krasic/Pastore+Hernanes+Kjaer+Marchetti will make us the best once again...pls galliani......DO IT
