I'd like to ask those who are saying Amauri doesn't score enough goals if Weah scored a lot of goals. Weah scored at best 13-14 goals. He wasn't a scoring machine, but he made all other players play better and made people score a lot.

More: he threathened defences and tore them apart. I think this is what we need to improve in Serie A.

There are big doubts about Drogba's physical conditions. He has some knee problems, i heard.

I don't see why all the negative comments about Amauri. The guy by himself has in both games this season caused our defence problems and looks like an excellent centre forward. Technically accomplished and the ability to play more than one position make him a suitable candidate for us (if not as a starter, at least for squad rotation). That said he's not the most frequent goalscorer (not bad though, especially considering the teams he's played for) and the cost may be a problem.

I'm not talking about replacing Kaka, but having players like Quaresma or Ben Arfa for a different look on the team every once in a while.

Other teams park the bus and not even Kaka's brilliance is able to get through. If you feel Kaka's role would be nulified a 4-4-1-1 can be adopted where he can sit behind Pato or a Drogba type player.

Quaresma & Ben Arfa on the wings and Gattuso and Pirlo in the middle. None of our fullback have the skill or speed in the box to take on and beat their man when approching or in the box. They even have a hard time crossing it in.

Most wingers possess all those qualities and defenses would have no choice to shift and repect them when they come into the box and their crossing ability.

As it stands now notwithstanding the Palermo game we have a hard time threating to score from the flanks. That's why teams back the box.

Vargas from Catania and Danny Alves would be the only ones that I would take. Oddo is inconsistant for what we require of him. His crosses are often low, or are no where near there target. He does one decent cross to Ambrosini in the past 10 games and we're all happy. Good defender but not good when we need attack and bury a team. We lack creativity.
More reinforcements are needed and there is no point in getting players that have the same skills as those we already have. Investing in creativity on the flanks will open up space in the middle and will enable for our defensive backs to NOT push up at times but stay back and focus on defending and stay fresh/rested.
