some says it is on the friday of next week. i am not sure.

all the 7 runner-ups (we can't face barca by rule) are acceptable, except for man u. i don't mind playing them, and i am not afraid of them either. it is just that if we don't have to, i don't see the need. maybe real madrid? hah, it should be good for me, since then it will be on american tv almost for sure. i would of course prefer psv, liverpool (gerrard won't play at home).

i believe we'll draw Liverpool..it's long time we don't face an english side, and for the rule of averages it can be possible

i want to taste man u' blood. come on, we need to kill this so-called "best" team. real madrid is also a good one but they would make easy meal, looking at how barca have them for lunch.

I was bored at home, so i then thought to myself i will make my own draw, and these are the predictions that i think will happen.

1)Bayer Leverkusen Vs Fc Barcelona
2)Juventus Vs Liverpool
3)Chelsea Vs PSV Eindhoven
4)Olympique Lyonnais Vs Werder Bremen
5)Inter Milan Vs Fc Porto
6)Arsenal Vs Bayern Munich
7)As Monaco Vs Real Madrid
8)Ac Milan Vs Manchester United

This is the order the games came when i was doin my draw, imagine these games come true. What do u guys think? Do one its fun and lets see if we get any right.

I would love to have man U or Real play Milan in the 1st elimination round. Not sure, however, who is the Robinzon Crusoe kind of guy who would call man U the best team - whoever he is he must have stopped following soccer for quite a while.
Teams I see that could create real problems for Milan, this excludes the possibilities of Milan making a Riazor on themselves again, are, in order, Juve, Chelsea, Barca, Inter, and maybe Bayern on a good day. Of course all the rest are very good teams too but just don't see Man U or Real, in their current form, getting anything out of a game or two vs a not-so-in-form Milan side.

I want man utd not because they would be the easiest team but because so many of my friends support them and we have been waiting for them to play each other for years.

A few of my friends support Liverpool aswell so I would not mind them either.

When I was holidays in Majorca in september with a few of my friends we went to majorca versus real madrid in the opening game of la liga so considering I have seen them play this year I would like Milan to meet them too. I think we will be well able for them, we could possiblely end their era of galaticos.

Munich would be the toughest team to draw and PSV the easiest in my opinion, but I not worried at all about the next round.

We will only have to worry from quarter finals on where we can meet Juve, Inter, Chelsea and Barca from the semi final on.

Roll on the draw on friday, there is going to be some interesting matches.
Hopefully Chelsea and Barca draw each other to get one of them out of the way.

wanted Sparta Prague in the last 16 last season and it happened.
If lightning strikes twice then we'll get PSV this season.

My prediction for the last 16 draw:

PSV - Milan
Man Utd - Juventus
Bayern Munich - Inter
Barcelona - Arsenal
Liverpool - Bayer Leverkusen
Real Madrid - Chelsea
Porto - Monaco (Repeat of last season's final)
Werder Bremen - Lyon

Let the big guns go for each other's throats!

Man utd will either be drawn to us or inter merdas.
I hope Milan will get to face Manu ... So called the best team in the world but their history records sucks! Only Milan and real are up there

Except there is no rule like that.

I would prefer to get Real Madrid before someone else beats them, after them I would take PSV.

I think you were referring to normal distribution theory, which does apply to random draws, but with all the rules for the CL draw, it is not so random anymore.

The only think that is statistically certain, is that Inter sucks anyway you look at it

that we even have something called "Law of averages" is due to humans not being able to comprehend "chance" or randomness. It's like if you hit a 6-sided dice 2 times and got a 6 both times, then a human (including me) would think that I surerly can't get another "six". But the truth is that it is still exactly the same chance of getting a "six" like the two previous times which is a 1/6 chance.
