UEFA team of the year 2004

Ronaldo being mentioned in there is a disgrace alright but look at the competition. Robben would be everyones shout but what did you know of him pre october? 99% of people will give an answer of: "nothing"

exactly. Robben had a decent Euro 2004 but i didnt think he was as impressive as Ronaldo (and i did watch him in particular as i wanted to know what Utd had missed out on ) He has been good since October but that is only 2 months and whatever he did in Holland last season will be disregarded because the Dutch league is not one of the "big 4"

The chap is class simple as that. I am thankful however that a player i think absolutely nothing of who is pure hype no substance was overlooked: Deco. Does anyone else think he is pants?

i wouldnt go as far as pants but yeah, i think he is over rated..

I lost all respect for Andy Grey a few weeks back, not that I really had any to begin with, but he was going on about Deco and in Andy's own words: "This chap lets remember had an absolutely magnificent European championships" Now come on Andy lets be honest. I know you like to and have to hype everything to the point of saying the Division 3 play offs are the best football around but Deco was dire in the Euro and has been no better for Barca.
