this is the one game i didn't want, i'd have prefered chelsea to this one, and plus this means there will be one less italian team in the semi's. anyway, we have got some luck in that we will meet the winners of lyon-psv. anyway, losing to inter is unthinkable, and as adriano got injured today(don't know the extent thou) and we'll have mr. golden ball sheva back, this gives us a huge edge. anyway this game will be soo tight, away goals will probably decide it once more if not penalties

2. We have won our last 7 competitive games

Let's not be arrogant, but confident. We can and will win this QF
yeap man. what with all the sad faces? we got a great draw IMO. let not forget that mancini have a poor record against us even when he was in lazio. the last derby is just one game where we took our foot off the pedal but we still beat them.

We already had that edge with or without Adriano - it is gonna be a team vs a group of 11 players who are forced to play together. This is what gives us the edge, IMO, and not any possible absences ofAdriano or any other player be that an Inter or Milan player. We all saw what happened to the mighty ManU even if didn't have Sheva in the team.

juve have no refs. in europe.......
and bayern & liverpool arent that good.
psv and lyon arent so good either...

Che sara`.......sara`....

We`ll see.I`m not delighted with the draw either, but there are pros and cons to this game as to any other. We,for instance know our opponent very well and we meet them at least 2 a year, thus, there is always an option how to play against them. It`s a game like any other and i wouldn`t make too much ado about it.We can anyway just wait and see.
Probably the biggest reason why i dislike drawing Inter is that i`ll be much more devastated IN CASE we lose to them than i`d be if we lost to any other team.Same goes for Juve. But then again....it`s just me.

In respect to Gio Mania`s post,i think Chelsea definitely don`t suck.i find them very consistent and if you say that game in Barca proved that they suck then you could as well say that Barca sucked at Stamford Bridge(and neither of these things is really true cos those games ,i have to admit although Milan fan as i am, were excellent football events).Besides us of course, they come to mind as possible title winners too.

FORZA MILAN!!!

i love adriano but this about this injury id be relieved if he doesnt play against us to be honest... but i do wish him all the best hes an excellent player

if chelsea sucked because of that game then u mean we suck as well because barca we looked worse than chelsea when we went to the nou camp. and that is wrong. besides if chelsea suck than what are inter??

I don`t like the draw because the match is going to be so tactical - maybe 1 situation will decide which team will win. In matches against other opponents you always get some chances, but both teams know eachother so well, that I fear it is maybe Inter`s turn to get that "situation"

But Milan have the experience in the CL and maybe this will be enough

If Inter is good enough, we will meet them sooner or later. In this case, they managed to ease past last year's UCL Champion to come to this stage and we should be happy to finally see our evil cousins living up to expectations (to reach the UCL QF) with the quality of players they have.

But this is as far as they are going to go , this is as far as Inter is going to help promote the quality of Italian football, because their kind cousin ( Us ) will be more than obliged to take over the 'patriotic duties' like we always do in previous years; to bring Europe's most prestigeous club trophy back to Italy. In order to do that, the less-than successful side of the Milan city will have to be 'sacrificed' .

People are pessimistic maybe because of the recent derbies that was'nt quite spetacular from a milanisti point of view. But in the UCL, like Haroon said, it will be a totally different ball game; it is our playground. We breathe european football year in year out and there will be no difference this year.

Inter will look to avenge for what we have done to them in the past but we will show them it is not just a vengeful mentality that will see them past our almost-formidable team. Besides the tactical and quality aspects, they will also need a mountain loads of luck. But considering the fact that lady luck has always been smiling at us, i guess realistically, Inter's only success this season would still have to be the Coppa Italia

Forza MILAN!!!!!

This match is one that I am definately looking forward to watching, and I hope that ESPN Int shows it live, and not delayed.

I do expect a low scoring affair, though Sheva´s return may prove to be the catalyst we need to start putting more than the odd goal into the Inter merde net.

I just told a fellow Jamaican yesterday, (the poor sod is an Inter fan) that their UCL road ends here, and he tried to be positive, but then I reminded him of his statement that Inter would overtake us and go on to win the scudetto ...he then shut up very quickly, and it is this self confidence that Milan must take into this derby in order to vanquish our UCL buying cousins (remember that the sole trophy they won at this level is tainted by allegations of bribes to refs and match fixing).

I can confess to a queasy feeling however when I look at the statistics side of our ties with Inter, and cant escape the feeling that they are overdue for a win...

However, I have been bolstered by Haroon, Henrik et al, whose infectious confidence has me feeling very positive about the pending clash, providing me with a serenity I hope will last until the end of the second leg.

It will be important for our players to feel a high level of confidence, which will make them calm, but focused on the task at hand, defeating that team we love to hate.

What also concerns me about this fixture, is the potential for one of our players to get injured from the tackles that will undoubtedly be flying in...though perhaps more so in the second leg, as opposed to the first.

All in all, a delicious match up, one that I am sure I will enjoy devouring.

FORZA MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILAN!!!!!!

Aggregate score: Milan 3 Inter 1
