I think that Gipson is saying that if Alexander the great will get a yellow card vs Fiorentina he will miss the juve game.

The match against Fiorentina is as all other games important - If I could chose I would sell this match for a draw and than take 3 points against Juve

We can not risk to rest several players as we than for sure will lose against a angry Viola team - but we must remember there is a reason that Fiorentina is placed bad in the table. So in fact we are huge favorites as Fiorentina is not playing as a team and has a very very shaky Goali

It`s going to be close - but as Juve managed somehow to win 1-0 against Lazio I also believe Milan will make the 1 strike. But we have to field JDT - when he start scoring he rarely stop, so we have to use this momentum where he is somehow on fire.

I realize that you are a die-hard Milan fan. So do I, and the rest of the people here (I assume). Does a player's poor performance solely his fault, or because of some other factors? It would be great if we can take other things into consideration except for looking at paper's rating.


On the other hand, don't you realize that Cafu's running on the right has caused us trouble at the back because he is always running? NOt that this is not a good thing, but there are a few chances PSV got simply because Cafu is busy on the right and forgot his defensive role. I'm not criticizing him here, but these are the things you may have not noticed. Another Cafu's fault, (if you want to know) is the scare we got around 10minutes when the ball SEEMED to slip through Stam but REALLY it's because Cafu who failed to create the offside trap...

Nesta is not the only one who is one yellow card away from suspension. Rui Costa and clarence also have a tally of 2 yellow cards and should they get another one vs fiorentina they'll miss the juve decider. Re next sat game, ambro, kala and paolo are all suspended - 3 yellow cards.

may i remind you that last time milan won away to fiorentina was flippin 10 years ago! and it was the last game of the season, so it didn't count much for both teams (scorers that day, melli, batigol, simone). prior to date, van Basten and co had managed to trounce the viola 7-3!! boy, do i remember that game!

conclusion: i say the game against fiorentina is more difficult than that against juve because milan never miss out in clashes vs big teams while suffer a lot smaller teams, especially those from Tuscany (read Livorno and Siena)

I'm just chatting to a friend a Juv fan...he says that Nesta can't get suspended if he gets a single yellow card in this weekends game

He says :
...."two yellow cards in the same game in league games then your out it is different then the cup games ....." So wht is really going on with Nesta ?

do not start nesta. that will be a big mistake. why risk it. we beated psv without him. Rest him this game. i really think we should rest some playes. it will be a tough week and we need to be in good shape. if we loose or draw it will be not the end of the world but if when we go up against juve and psv are tired it will be the end of the world.

The question is more like what is going on with your friend?
Nesta is just fine, his problem is that he already has 4 yellow cards and will get suspended if he gets another one to make it 5.
Also I am afraid we have to start Nesta for Maldini is suspended for this game and I am not so sure that Billy would be a solution alongside Stam. Kaladze also is suspended so we willhave to field Serginho or most probably Pancaro on the left so our defence will be missing way too many "regular components" and may become rather imbalanced/slow if we leave Nesta out. Hopefully he won't get a booking but given his style it would be a small miracle.
Oh, and Ibrahimovich WILL DEFINITELY MISS the big game on May 8th for the Disciplinary Committee has just REFUSED to reduce his ban.

Unfortunately that is not quite true - all games are worth 3 points. Of course one could argue that a win vs Juve is worth not 3 but 6 points for it is a direct contest but should we lose to Fiorentina then even a win vs Juve will get us back only as far as square one. Off course this assumes that Juve don't make mistakes on their own but I am sure that everyone here is aware that if Juve can't win the 3 points by themselves, the refs will just give it to them. In that matter, I would be very surprised if Collina is appointed to referee a Juve game until the end of the season for he is the last one who would give them the usual lifelines.
We can't afford any mistakes in any of the remaining games both in Serie A and CL. I am sure that even without Nesta we could pull it off vs Juve. We just need to take them games one after the other and pack the 3 points in every game we play and only then make calculations about the next one.

personally i would start cafu, costacurta, stam and serginho in defence vs fiorentina and id leave nesta for juve ... seedorf better sit this one out as well, i think rui should come on instead

This way we can rest nesta and seedorf ( and stop them from getting yellow cards). In the game against juve seedorf could be a crucial man, we can do it without nesta but im afraid we really need seedorf for juve. Anyway....serginho can attack on the left and create something with rui costa. Fiorentina can score often on their ground so we must be wery careful. Stam and billy can do it. Pirlo needs some fitness so he needs to play. kaka is in ok form and seems like JDT is getting better. Crespo is too slow for away matches that is why JDT should start. With rui, pirlo, kaka and serginho we can get a lot of possesion and calm down the fiorentina..... then sheva scores and we are 1-o up! well....looks nice....
