I take it that you have missed the last couple of rounds in the serie A - Milan lost to Juve and then we drew with Lecce. So now we are 5 points behind Juve with 2 games remaining and Juve play with teams that have absolutely nothing to fight for while we play with Palermo and Udinese, who are fighting to secure Uefa Cup and CL spots, respectively.
Given the great form Juve are in right now, and all the help they have gotten from referees throughout the season whenever they needed it, there is no way in this world that Juve would lose 5 points, at least, from their last two games.
Playing a full strength team vs Palermo, given the current standings in Serie A, would be just plain stupid and naive for we risk injuries and wasting precious energy for absolutely no reason at all. The only reason why a first choice player may feature vs Palermo is to keep players' concentartion up and running for the game vs Liverpool.
Those advocating for a second string team vs Palermo are not giving anything up for the only title we have realistic chances of winning thise season is the CL - the race for the scudetto is over and it is well beyond our reach and we have only ourselves to blame for that.
Nobody is choosing one title over another for we don't have a choice anymore - there is only one goal from now on and this is winning our 7th CL title.

No we wouldnt........because we would still have to fight to the very last, as there would be nothing else to play for...but fortunately, we have the ultimate prize in European Club football, the UCL final to play 5 days later...

Now, we will play 2nd string players and youth players in this game because (as the "criminal" tackle that Kaka picked up on the weekend shows) we dont want any player getting injured.

As you are well aware Staci, not all injuries heal in 5 days or less...in fact, I am happy that we will field a weakend team vs Palermo...after all, we have much more at stake....

I believe the only first choice players that will start are Nesta, Inzaghi and Dida.

No, I haven't missed anything, nor am I oblivious to the fact that winning the CL is the 'ultimate' prize, or, that injury may ocurr. Point taken......however I have concluded that I appear to be a supporter of a different kind.

No hunny, its that sometimes you have to be a bit realistic. I agree 100% with Zlatanov. The league was lost vs juve, while vs Lecce we thrown away our last minimum hopes of comeback. Vs Lecce the players made some silly mistakes which means that mentally they where already thinking of Liverpool.

The champions league is worth 3 times the serie A.
