I think they should get rid of a few players like Rui, Serginho, Inzaghi, Tomasson, these players I feel, won't get any better, we have to replace them early as it will give us time to build the team + allow the new players to settle down, we need to add some more quality to our squad as it is evident we are good enough, (2nd place is not convincing for me),
Ancelloti should stay no doubt, he has'nt had the money say that Real, ManU or even Barca have spent over the last few years. Still he has done a commendable Job,
Maybe some more players of high quality will do the trick, I personally think we need players that play on the wing just to give us variety and more depth, Maybe someone like Pires, Shaun Wright Phillips, someone with more energy,
we need another Striker no doubt, I think this is the area where the Club will have the most difficulty, Crespo will not be allowed to stay, Mourinho will want him back after yesterday's performance , Milan could use the above players (Rui, Sergi and pippo) along with some money to get us a new striker,
if you think what I am saying is Blasphemy, look what the club did to Demetrio, so it is possible, for me the Club is more Imp, not the players.

I agree, if anything, the way we played in the first half should convince others that we have an amazing foundation to build a dominant side on. The first half was probably the most one sided game we've played in the CL. I think we need to buy some decent squad players so we can rotate, the midfield is way to predictable, and a young defender or two as well as the all important striker.

I agree with MK here, we can't make a 75% change in our team, don't forget that before the PSV away game (20 days ago) we said and everyone said we're the best team in the world.

This thread wouldn't been here if we didn't made those 5 minutes of blackout which costed the whole season.

I agree though that we should sell players like Serginho, Pancaro, Tomasson or Inzaghi. There's a problem though, that Serginho, Pancaro, Costacurta, Rui Costa and Inzaghi, this season got a contract extension so I think they'll remain.

IMO we just need a reserve for Cafu, Gilardino and Janulovsky maybe a reserve for Pirlo.

Don't forget that yestersday Milan dominated for 110 minutes a match of 120.

i cant understand why you would want serginho out??? ... hes been one of out best 5 players throughout the season. and it took the determination of a player like gerrard to deny him stop mouth watering crosses and yet still he managed to send some in all have been very dangerous.

And we still lost, we dominated the whole season and still ended up with nothing, this is football no doubt but we have to learn from our mistakes, we need to make improvements if we are to remain dominant.

he looks dangerous and is effective because he plays on the left flank, Milan don't use the flanks to often, many teams prepare themselves against us by packing the midfield, i think we need quality wingers no doubt, we need more variety, yesterday we were predictable, Gerard was put on the right to stop serginho and segi could'nt get past him, can't blame him though.

gerrard was put on the right because they took out their right back and when the match was level they couldnt risk letting such a dangerous player like serginho roam around there with no one marking him... pool had no options... if finnan was there serginho wouldve made him wish he was never born

and despite gerrards heroics serginho still managed to send in some delicous crosses namely the one where JDT chocked on and the sheva double try

True, but Serginho is not going to get any better, Trust with our Club even a half decent winger will look good, the fact as i have stated earlier is that we play too much in the centre and once we get a winger on, the opposition lose their balance.

I would love to see the player in this current Milan side who will get any better. Except for Kaka, maybe. Most of them are very experienced and already fully developed players, so we will have to get rid of 95% of the team if we are to keep only those who have room for improvement - with Maldini at the head of the line.

Serginho is not of the same Class as Maldini, One can't really compare the 2, Maldini contribution to Milan is much more. Maldini is a Legend, it's a Shame some have'nt realised it as yet, he has given more to the club than any player currently playing.

On to a serious note:

Juve managed to win the Scudetto this year with an above average team in which no player really had a phenomenal season: They also managed to win with core players in the same age range as we have:
Nedved, Del Piero, Cannavaro, Thuram, etc: all over 30.

Breaking up the team is irrational...it would take 3 years just to get back to the level this team is at. Why get rid of a Shevchenko when he has clearly matured and is at his peak??
You know what the biggest injustice for this team is: history will see this 2004-2005 squad as not winning a major trophy. Given the way this team played in Serie A and CL for the majority of the season it is simply unfair...the season and CL was lost "in the end".
I still think this team was the best in Europe for 2004-2005 despite the result because you cannot honestly look at the team and say they need a drastic change or even a BIG change.

disagree. a team should play 90 mins to be the best in europe. if they play 45, 60, 75 mins and expect to walk out winners, they are sadly mistaken. psv proved it, brescia proved it, siena proved it, lecce proved it, and now liverpool proved it. NONE of these teams are great euro powers, but Milan succumbed to them because they played only part of the game.

don't break up the team - break up that stinking deportivo attitude.

its true what nadir said the deportivo attitude, when they pulled one goal back we should of raised our tempo instead when it got to 3-3 we were completely shellshocked, if liverpool had the guts to get back in it we should have. My god i mean liverpool are a bad team im sorry but its the truth, in the first half alone we could of put 5 past them. Now we really need to lose this attitiude that the players have.

Totally agree with nadir its the deportivo attitude
