if you wanna get refreshment every year, you may become perdentista. They usually get rid of most of their best players...

i don't want refreshment every year i want refrsehment THIS year ! It's just time to make some changes now, you can't keep playing with the same team for years and years to come, some of the players are getting older too. So because i want some refreshment this year i am perdentista ?

No you are not unless you want to sell our essential players.

I do not think that we need to change something radically because we were a step away from two titles and not these players are the reason why we lost. I prefer reinforcement to refreshment.

i agree with rae. bram, i think you are exaggerating big time. we just need 3 -4 direct changes (if we count gila, 3 already settled). no other fizzy signings are required. the backbone of the team will remain unchanged, definitely. as galliani has said, the first 11 for next year will almost be the same as those who played in Istanbul. this is the policy milan have adopted over the past 3 years. may i remind you that 8 of the players who took part in the Manchester final also played in Istanbul. you don't get more continuation than this. this is a 5-yr plan, and we're half way. never change a winning team, they say. including the coach.

In Bram's defence, I think he is trying to tell us all that he wants noticeable changes in our lineup that can be visibly seen and viable 5-10 years from now. Like me, he might be wanting to see any kind of hint of a future somewhere in the lineup to replace guys that are in the twilight of their careers. I have to say, like Bram, I dont see it. AT least now anyway. But the problem and challenges to this isnt just now, its happen since "yesterday"and we need to seriously fugure this problem. Not now! Yesterday! So we're one day late and need to catch up on this problem and not wait til tomorrow or next year or the year after that.

exaggerating ? In my 'new' team , new players are only Gilardino, Jankulovski (who is already here), Oddo OR Bonera, 1 wing player and maybe Kompany for the future. So maximum 4 players who can claim a starting place. The only players i say to leave that had a starting place are Seedorf and Stam. So what's the problem ? It's not like i am saying that Sheva, Maldini, Rino, Pirlo, ... should leave ! We should keep our 7-8 players that had a starting spot in the last 2-3 years, joined by some new elements like Gila and Oddo for example. So i really don't see why i am exaggerating ...

I will be realistic here rather then being optimistic. There will be maximum 5 signing this season 2 of them are already done among the rest 3 maybe 1,2 or even all 3 are possible:

1. Vogel (done)
2. Jankulovski (done)
3. Gilardino or Ronaldo ( probably Gila and the arrival will be after 20th of June).
4. Ljungberg ( or any other alternative for LM postion).
5. Oddo ( The chances seem to be very slim)
Now who will be out:

1. Dohrasso
2. Tomasson
3. Stam
4. Seedorf
5. Kaladze

If not all a few of them are sure to leave depend on the signing since 5 are too much. this mean our line up for next season will be:

Dida
Cafu/Oddo Nesta Maldini Jankuloviski

Pirlo
Gattuso Ljungberg/the alternative
kaka

Shevchenkov Gilardino/Ronaldo

The sub bench cannot be thought of unless you know who is sure to leave.

One other option is playing Jankuloviski as LM and playing Oddo as LB. This seems only possible if we don't get any LM. This is an optimistic thought because I personally dont like Ljungberg I would have rather prefered Nedved ( If you exclude the age factor) or Vicente. But then again personal opinion keep little importance if the player benefits the team and I think Ljungberg will have an excellent impact.

our midfield is too set/predictable, probably time for a change
it's been 2 years with teh same midfield. time for someone fast, put in half decent crosses (sheva's head is underused) and can score. Vicente?

this empty year will more likely result in more transfers. 2 useful moves already made. lets wait for gila, a new midfielder and a young versatile defender...simic, collocini or pancaro aren't reliable, kaladze leaving..and a billy costacurta who can't start games anymore. cristian chivu available?

indeed , like i said, Oddo/Cafu on the right, Janku left, and then 1 new wing player in the team instead of Seedorf. But a real wingplayer like Donadoni ! And the Gila in attack, is only 3-4 new players in the team. Would be good that way i think.

Yeah! We havent seen a player like Donadoni here for nearly a decade already! Seedorfs no winger and sure as heck isnt a Donadoni. As good as Seedorf is as a player, he did terrible this year. Not up to the standard that I set him up to be. I want a player like Donadoni. Great pace, beautiful dribbling, quick and agile, can pass/cross/assist our strikers, and shoot with accuracy from outside the box.

maybe i used too strong a word, but i think you want too many changes. yes, 4 players in the new starting line-up are too many. stam played really well and in a 3-man defence he would play even better. maybe he did let us down in some games, but so did sheva and dida and all the rest. who was 100% perfect throughout the year? re seedorf, there are too many ppl who hate him, but he has done a lot of good, too. we should be fair in judging his performances.

i agree with just adding 4 elements, but not necessarily in our starting 11. and that's the impression i'm getting from carletto and galliani's words. vogel is definitely just a sub, jankulovski is likely to have a good number of starts while gilardino is not guaranteed a starting 11 place since ancelotti wants 5 attackers (sheva, inzaghi, tomasson have all been confermed, gila will be announced shortly and crespo will probably be loaned for another season). sheva is in our starting 11, while do not ignore the fact that inzaghi will be starting his preparation 2 weeks before the rest of the group, so he will have a head-start above the others.

re ancelotti, sacking him would be a big mistake because this is a 5-yr plan and it has been very successful till now. remember that from 4 finals we have won 1 on penalties and lost the other 3 from the same penalty spots. so it could have very easily been 4 wins or 4 losses. capello lost 6 finals with us, 1 with roma, while lippi lost 6 too. so no coach is 100% successful in finals. even sacchi had his limitations. he lost one coppa italia and one world cup, which is the worst of all.

i think we should be grateful we support milan and have the opportunity to play so many finals. what would we do if we supported inter? notice the fuss they've created around the coppa italia final. shows they're not used to playing in a final.

but like Kui says, Milan misses a real left wingplayer. I already say this for a few years, we have never replaced Donadoni ! We tried a lot of players, Blomqvist, Ziege, Davids, Guly, ... but none of them came even close to Dona ! Now, we have a system without real wingers, but still i think 1 winger in the team can be very important. Someone who can create chances if everything is stuck in the centre, someone with a good cross and dribble.

now, we have two of them - Sergio and Jankulovski. The thing is that we don't really use wingers with the diamond formation, apart from that, we now have two very capable players who excell at left wing and can even play left back if necessary.
