I believe, like all copyrights, providing the full version of the Maldini movie online without formal authorization, would be an offense . Moreover, we as Milanistas should support our players by buying ORIGINAL , n not ripping off online. Just like buying their original jerseys. Hence i urge all of you to buy the DVD with the official website. Thank you!

Amen.
It is the fans, who are being ripped off and not the players ... football is above all business and we are on the wrong end of the "food chain" because I don't remember Maldini or Galliani sending me a check for 2-3 mil euros/season for being a loyal Milan fan for more than 17 years now.

But what more can we do to show our support for Maldini (besides the usual support in matches etc) than to buy his DVD and let him know that there are actually more people who is a fan of his than he can imagine.

I agree that football is somewhat business but i dun see why we are at the wrong end of the foodchain when despite not being paid in return as a fan (like u said), the team repaid our efforts by entertaining us with some neat world-class football and sound aquisitions to say the least.

Anyway i ain going to argue with you on this as different people has different views. I respect yours. I just hope that the effort of the team that created Maldini the movie can be truely appreciated.

My point was that you made a professional player, who earns ~10 mil a season from salary and commercials, look as if he was one of those poor factory workers, who are taken advantage of, supressed, and ripped off by their bosses. You know, it is very hard to imagine someone as well paid as Maldini is, being "ripped off" by poor soccer fans, who download music or movies online for free.
That's what my point was ... I didn't literary mean that we, soccer fans, should get paid for supporting a team. I just thought it was way over the top to portray Maldini as a some poor, god-forgotten soul, which has found shelter in a Red Cross camp somewhere in Central Africa, and now we, the movie pirates, are depriving him of his last loaf of bread.
I know I am making some "strong" comparisons but that's pretty much in the spirit of your previous post.

EDIT: This being said, I do believe that it is the fans that are being ripped off - new 60 euro jersays every season, tickets of 100 + euros for CL games and god knows how much for each Serie A game, paying a subscription fee just to see a couple of pix and some bad quality clips on the official website, and so forth. And then someone to say that by DLing a movie on the Internet, I am the one who is the ripping off the "poor" Milan players ... well, sorry but I find it difficult to get moved by the plight and ordeal of the professional football player.

it is not about money we are talking about here r we? Neither am i trying to portray Maldini as a poor chap (hey i ain blind man~) Because what i am trying to say is that it is in the spirit to support the player (not financially) that we should buy the DVD (original), like how important CD sales is to singers, the amount of copies sold can somehow have some effect on the player no matter how minute. You may say Maldini doesnt need all these kinda bulls*** to boost his already famous name and it is just a form of way to make money but hey, who knows what magic Paolo Maldini il Film sales can have on the man himself.

Like u said, what is money to Maldini n co when they are already earning millions by now. There is more than making money for Maldini to agree to come out with this documentary. Even if he IS trying to earn some 'extra' bucks, so what? You are going to deprive him of his earnings by condoning the acts of piracy?

Media industry of the world are already trying to curb the escalating piracy, to sustain originality and survival of the players in the industry but by allowing a classic documentary like Paolo Maldini il Film -the DVD to be available for ripping online is definately not helping the situation.

So please say 'NO' to any forms of Piracy~ Buy Original and not only can we show our support for Maldini, we can also prove a point that piracy can be stopped if we make it happen in Milanmania.

A friend of mine went to Italy a few months ago and I asked her to buy the DVD for me
It WAS ALREADY SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE!!!! Three weeks after the release !!!!!!
Since Ihave no credit card I can't buy the DVD at milanstore. I'll have to wait till next year when I'll hopefully have enough money to travel to Milano myself. In the meantime I would like to know what Billy said about Maldini. Does anyone know?

He said that he's a great player, even when he first joined the Primavera team when Billy was the captain. He also said he has a lot of respect for Maldini, and that he would like his family to be like maldinis family, and if something would happen to him, he would want Maldini to look after his family because he he is sure he would do a great job. And about Maldinis son Christian he said that he is going to be a great player and if he would bet a dollar today on this, he would be making a fortune in a couple of years
