In all fairness to Kaka, Sheva and Ronaldinho its a bit early in their careers to compare them to Maradona.
At this point...Maradona

Exactly. But if Dinho will keep on doing what he's doing at the moment, he will be on top

I agree man, he has the skills I have never seen before on anyone. I have seen Maradona too, the two are at the very top

I thnik Diego cant be compared to any one, he is far away from any ordinary football player like kaka or ronaldinho or who ever, because he is simply THE GOD of football.
He scored the best goal ever, and didnt score it versus any conuntry, he scored versus england, the inventors of football, he played an entire world cup (1990) with a hurt ankle and got into the final. He was a magician with the ball and never had a bad performance on the field. I think these words are useless because everyone kows waht Maradona means and if someone thinks that actual fotball player can be compared to him, that one has no idea of what football means.

I like the most Ricardo Kaka, cuz he is the most elegant from them all.
But I agree, it's useless to compare them, they play in different roles, not just in different times...

Well, I do not agree, Pele 100% was better than Diego, Pele is the GOD of football, he is 3 times world champion (Diego is only once), and Pele had more skills than Maradona. The brazilian could play with the both legs, also with the head, but Maradona had only one good left leg, Maradona with the right leg or the head was poor picture...
I know, you are from Argentina and it's normal to support Maradona, but the facts are that Pele was better!

It's not possible to say who was better. They both played in a different period, so the style of football was also different.
In my eyes, they were both excellent footballplayers. They were both the best in their period!

Diego couldnt play with his head? only one good leg???? Diego is the best because he played a whole world cup with a wonded ankle, he scored the best goal ever vs England, he scored a goal with his hand vs England to ( the hand of god), he won neverything in Italy with Napoli defeating the powerfull teams of the north, and the only way they had to stop him to win the 94 world cup was that pathetic fake they made with that doping test.

Pele and Maradona were greats, but of different ages, so I would not really compare the two. Demands of football/soccer in two different ages are radically different

you cant say kaka cuz he is so young and the future is in front of him. Sheva's career too is not over while ronaldinho's career is still in the begining. the only persons career path we know on the list is maradona's... so maybe in 10 years i can give you an answer to this poll..

becise, if you talk about world cups, Diego played in a much more harder time that Pele, Diego was beated by rival defenders every game, most remembered are South Korea in 86 and Cameroun in 90, in Pele's time there was much more space to play, while in Diego's spaces had to be created, and of course if we talk about leagues, Diego played in his best level in the Calcio where you have to make spaces, and becise you need strenght to face the toughest defenders in europe, and he beated them, he even beated Milan, oh and of course, Diego played in Boca, and he is the most loved player by La 12, and by mostn part of the world, even in the most remote places.
Brasilero brasilerooo
que amargado se te veeeeeeeee

I cant believe Maradona hasnt got every single vote. Kaka, Sheva and Ronnie arent a patch on the greatest footballer ever. Yeah, much better than Pele. Besides, I hear in Brazil they say Zico waas beter than Pele and Zico was no where near as good as Diego. I also heard in Italy they say Gunnar Nordahl is the greatest striker ever with apparently a better record than Pele. Dont know about that though.
