Kone is not yet a goal scoring machine but his dribbles are insane. AZ'
s 2 central defenders are in our National team (Oranje) (1 in starting line-up) and he sometimes made it look like they were not even on the pitch when we played vs AZ on sathurday. We've payed big money for him but he'll be worth every penney. I hope you'll see him play in the 2th round ;

Still I think a draw is possible for us even now when we lack a decent attack. Or maybe It's only hope.
are u a psv fan if so i am not suprised by this post

I think Milan should take this one, without sweating it too much....I think 2-0 is about right. PSV is a strong team, as usual, but Milan @ San Siro....is more than tough.

Any idea about our starting 11? I guess Vieri will be there, same with Pirlo and Ricky (And Cafu).

Im guessing (I have no real clue):

Dida

Marco
Stam
Maldini
KK

Rino
Pirlo
Seedorf

Ricky

Vieri
Sheva

The Dutch side are coming off a good performance. From uefa.com:
Quote:
PSV Eindhoven 3-0 AZ Alkmaar

PSV triumphed in this crucial encounter against leaders AZ Alkmaar 3-0 to briefly take the lead in the league standings before Feyenoord won on Sunday. The Dutch champions opened the scoring two minutes before the break when Arouna Koné set up Phillip Cocu and the PSV captain's shot from ten metres found the net.

Goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes was forced to save a free-kick from Kenneth Perez in the second half, but when Alkmaar's Ron Vlaar was sent off for a second bookable offence ten minutes from time, Cocu doubled PSV's lead a minute later. With four minutes left Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink scored after DaMarcus Beasley had hit the post. Michael Reiziger was on the bench recovering from a hip injury, but did not feature, while Jefferson Farfán was rested after returning from international duty with Peru with a bruised heel. Theo Lucius (hamstring), John de Jong (knee), Mika Väyrynen (ankle), Michael Ball (knee) and Gerald Sibon (neck) are all out injured.

"We took advantage of some sloppy play to open the scoring on the verge of half-time," said PSV coach Guus Hiddink. "Alkmaar started the second half brightly, but we responded tactically well. All in all, this is a fine result - in fact, bearing in mind the circumstances we are in, it is excellent."

This, after the performance I saw yesterday, is not as worrying as if we had lost. What we must ensure now is that we go into this match with as much concentration and focus as we started the game vs Cagliari.

I am more confident in the backline now, though it remains to be seen what will happen late in the 2nd half vs the Dutch team. The Eridivisie champions are not to be taken lightly, despite their restructuring due to the sale of many a key player in the summer. Hiddink is an excelent tactician, and tends to make more than expected with what he is given to work with.

I think we should win this one though, and what I cant wait for really is to see our starting 11, as that in and of itself will be a HUGE factor in the game´s outcome (IMO).

Kaka, Sheva, Gila, Seedorf, and Pirlo are must starts for me, and in Max´s continued absence, I would opt for Gattuso. Janku could start over Rino, but in truth, thats only if Carlo wanted to rest the dimunitive Italian stallion (now I am singing his praises..yet, after yesterday´s domestic performance, I certainly feel its his due).

As for the back line, I hope Carlo plays Stam and Maldini in the middle, with Serghino on the left, and Cafu on the right...hope we dont go over our quota of non Europeans...but, with Sheva considered European and Janku as well(?) maybe we will be ok fielding all 3.

Forwardline: Sheva and Gila. Pippo to replace Gila. Let Sheva chase Raul´s European record!

FORZA MILAN!

We should come into this game and win comfortably. We have looked much more solid in the past couple of weeks looking much more comfortable and confident. I'm also happy with Ancelotti consistently using a rotation system without creating too much havoc with team chemistry. I haven't seen much of PSV this year but from what I understand they are considerably weaker than last season. This should bode well for Milan. We should go for a full strength team, so my formation would look like this:

----------Dida----
Cafu--Stam---Maldini--Kaladze
---------Pirlo----------------
--Gattuso------Janku/Seedorf
--------Kaka'---------------
Sheva--------Gila

I'm sure Ancelotti will throw Pippo on there at some point in the second half. I wouldn't be too upset if he goes with Billy next to Maldini, Stam on the right with Jankulovski or Serginho on the left.

Anything but a win here would be considered unacceptable. I expect Milan to come away with all 3 points.

Milan should go with this formation......
--------------dida--------
cafu--stam--maldini--kaladze
------------pirlo---------
-ambrosini/gattuso--jankulovsky
----------kaka----------

--------sheva----gila----

I really hope carlo gives Jankulovsky real chance on the LM, he can do much better job than seedorf, people can say whatever they want but, seedorf looks all washed up. Pirlo, cafu, kaladze, kaka are refreshed so they could play a quality match. Sheva & Gila should start ( aldough im afraid carlo has his mind on vieri.... ). And pippo can play for 20 min, he needs to start slowly. With jankulovsky we can get more runs than with seedorf, and I expect Pirlo to start playing some decent defence and make some good runs, not just pass and run a bit.... Whats the situation with Ambrosini? he was very good at the start of the season.... we need to work on our possesion on opponents half, good accurate passes from kaka and sheva to gila and some good crosses from cafu and marek. we can win this....

In difference from the Cagliari's game, would we inject more speed and reflexes to this game, we should be sure to win it.

I do not mind seeing anybody on the pitch from the 1st minute, except for Vieri, please Carletto, DO NOT start up with him...

Our line-up will probably be:

Gomes
Ooijer | Alex | Reiziger | Lamey
Simons | Afellay | Cocu | Beasley
Farfan | Robert

Hopefully Farfan is ready in time, he came back injured from the matches in Peru. And Reiziger hasn't played for a long time, so i hope it will go well.

Ps. Only 4 players played against Milan last year (Ooijer, Alex, Cocu and Farfan).
