I would like a tougher CM.
good point. that's one of my concerns regarding Sneijder. The other is he seems prone to injuries and that may become even more of a problem in a physically demanding league like Serie A.

I know we need a RB and a CB, but why cant we go for a real class player like Lampard,Gerrard....? a player that can improve our team drasticaly.

for two reasons:
1) unless they are free agents, players of that calibre would cost a good-sized fortune which we could use for rebuilding half a team
2) your point that "they will drastically improve our team" is a pure speculation as there are so many uncertainties and unknowns involved when one player changes not only a team but a whole culture, a whole style of life. On paper, things look very simple - we get someone like Dinho, Lampard, Ballack, Gerrard and the new Milan is miles ahead of the current team.
In reality, however, things are very, very different - there is no guarantee how that player will fit our system, Serie A, or how well he would addapt to life in Italy in general (see Crespo in England). What I mean is that the Dinho from Barca and La Liga can be very, very dif from the one in Milan and Serie A, same goes for every other great player.
Then, as long as football is played by 11 vs 11, when you add a new player, you have to take someone out - you gain some and you lose some. What makes you think that the gain will indeed prove to be so much greater than the loss, so that it can justify making a financial harikiri by going for someone like Dinho, Lampard, or Gerrard, provided that they are available at all, which is also a very important factor ... actually, when it comes to getting your hands on such important players, availability is, most of the time, the most important factor of them all.

You are right, we do need to pick up players that are free and that will fit our sistem. That is why I DIDNT mention Ronaldinho, he cant fit in our game. with him we would have to play 4-5-1. My personal oppinion is that Seedorf needs to be replaced, and that is the only way to refresh our CM. He is getting slower and slower, cant hold the tempo for 90min. Of course, he is top quality player so he does play some great games for us, but soon, he will fade away. Gerrard overrated? I dont think so, he can pass, shoot, DEFEND WELL, and has some real power in him. Just what we need. He can protect Pirlo better than Seedorf. He would cost us some big money of course, but you need to pay if you want class. Sneijder cant make instant impact in Milan, right now he cant play at this level. But he is young and certanly has some potential. We dont need overrated superstars, of course, but refreshment is needed every year. Next year in RB and CB + I think we need a CM. Anyway, sneijder can play as kaka's sub, now when rui is almost gone. He can develop well in Milanelo. Im only worried by the fact he is not strong phissically enough for Calcio.

The only English players good enough for Milan are Gerrard and Rooney. Gerrard would actually fit into the Milan team well on the right hand side of Pirlo, but its not going to happen. He will end his career at Liverpool.

Neither is Fabrigas but last night he owned the midfield and completely outplayed Emerson and Viera!

if were going for a player like sneijder we might as well go for someone who has more experience, stronger physicality, and also versatile like ballack

In what areas are Seedorf and Gattuso better than Gerrard Milan Mad ?

We need more pace and 'bite' in our midfield, but this has to be coupled with skill. Pirlo has the skill but no pace or tackle, Seedorf has the skill and can tackle a bit but has no pace ... and Gattuso has a bit more pace and tackle but no skill ... It's a puzzle we need to solve

after todays performance, i agree that what we are missing is the tenacity, i think diarra should be our main target, he shut down kaka today, and he started plays, i doubt he gave away a pass, hes feroucious, i want him, cris was also good but i really like fierce players and i prefer alex.

[quote=Jim_UK]In what areas are Seedorf and Gattuso better than Gerrard Milan Mad ?QUOTE]

For a start i just can't see him leaving Liverpool,
I admit Gerrard has more scoring capabilities than both Seedorf and Gattuso but in work rate, stamina, pace, tackling, influence, aggression thats just what you need in your team and thats what Gattuso has and i love him for it. Onto Seedorf who is a little bit of a weak link for Milan for me is still a great player with Passing, Flair, and experience all better than Gerrard: Stevie may have a better shot than the 2 but we don't really need goals from our workers Seedorf and Gattuso.
I'd prefer Ballack to replace Seedorf. No disrespct to the great clarence i'd just love Ballack in a Milan shirt.

Diarra did brilliantly as always today. I can clearly see him as our DM, no problems in creativity too.
