im sure he doesnt mind playing on the wings, just as long as it doesnt become his official position...

i said id like to have diarra, oddo and gallas, i forgot about alex... i think we need nutcases in our team, diarra is great but what i like most about him is that hes a beast!!... look at his goal, the celebration... hes wild, which is what we miss most (besides the lyon game)... alex too is no pushover, while i think steza mentioned earlier that gallas is known to be a nutcase which scares off other opposition players... oddo is not crazy, but he would come to solve our RB problem.

incase cafu and billy leave (+stam), and maldini gets injured this would be my formation:

-----------------------------dida/kalac---------------------------------

---oddo/gallas----nesta/gallas------alex/kaladze------gallas/sergio/janku--

-----------------------------pirlo/vogel-------------------------------
-----------diarra/gattuso---------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------seedorf/sergio/janku---
---------------------------kaka/rui(or his replacement)----------------

--------------shevchenko/(speedy amoruso replacement)-------------------
----------------------------------------gilardino/pippo----------------

It would be a dream come true for me, mk, an amzing formation. We would destroy Juve! But I would like to see a better keeper, Dida is not exactly at the high point of his career right now, and to quote that really crappy NFG song "It's All Down Hill From Here" for him IMO. And by Sergio do you mean Serginho? Sry if I'm just really confused.

Dida may be replaced by Sebastian Frey? reliable and well experienced in Serie A i suppose.....A good choice, or maybe Morgan de Sanctis

I think we need a player like mancini unfortunatly. When we became great again was when we brought in Cafu to play down the right. This season our form improved the minute Serginho came into the team. We need a wide offensive player badly for next season. If Carlo dosn't think Janku is up to the job he should be sold because he takes up to precious a position in the squad.

i think the only player in the world right now who is the closest to cafu is amantino mancini, and they are the best right back in the world! he would be my dream signing, i dont mind gallas either as long as he is not expensive.
yes diarra will be a good signing but he wont come cheap, why dont we go for appiah, he is the beast too! i really cant see the point of planning to buy poulsen!

I also would love to see Mancini in Milan and maybe we could give Janku to Roma, provided that we aren't gonna give him a chance, that way we will have to pay them considerably less for the Brazilian. Plus, Spaletti is a Janku admirer from their Udinese days and has already expressed interest in bringing him to Roma.

We couldn't afford another winless domestic campaign and winning a single scudetto in the new millenium is definitely not pleasing to a giant club like Milan. We have to splash out this summer on big transfers to freshen our options and rejuvenate our rearguard. Gallas signing, if turned out to be true, would be a great addition to our defence. He can play in the centre of defence or as a right or left full-back and has been in a fine form of late with Chelsea. He is an ideal addition and will help a lot with Carlo's rotation system and defintely a good choice primarily for the left-back even if he is more defensive minded than Serginho. I believe our biggest summer move should be for the magnificent Diarra and that player would be a huge addition to our current side. Finally we need a right-back with Cafu's recent injury problems and the possibility of him going home to Brazil. Massimo Oddo is the best choice but it seems that Lazio are not willing to sell him. However signing Gallas and Diarra would be great even if we missed out on Oddo.

Imagine if we had Gallas and Diara for the Barca games. If both played on the right Ronaldinio wouldnt have a chance.

I don't see any problem having a starting back 4 of

Serginho, Gallas, Nesta, Oddo/Reveillere/Cafu

It's time we stopped living on past glories and looked to life without Maldini. This isn't to say Maldini won't play any games at all, of course he will. Carlo will be able to rotate between the three of them giving plenty of rest to each. I don't see the sense in playing Gallas at left-back or right-back, unless injuries force us to. Let him stick to his job which is in the middle.

Mancini is best for forward uses, he's not strong enough to be a right-back. If we were to get him, let him stay further forward, i wouldn't trust him defensively.

I wouldn't sell Jankulovski either, before he came to us he was one of the best players in Serie A, a fantastic wide player which is what we need. I would be tempted to loan him out for a year to let him get his confidence back and fully get over that terrible injury he had. Selling him would be a mistake in my opinion.

As for right-back, my favourite is still Reveillere, he has all the qualities we need. Oddo would personally be my second choice. I hope we keep Cafu for one more year, but i'm not sure we will. If we could somehow get Clerc on a free transfer (see my new thread) then he and reveillere would solve our right-back problems for years to come.

With Rveilliere almost sure to leave Lyon - they seem to bet on Clerc for the RB role and one of them will have to leave - and Trabelsi leaving Ajax as a free agent, I am not even close to being concerned about us missing out on Oddo. In fact I would prefer either of those two over Oddo, they being younger than the Italian is also a welcomed bonus.
Simic obviously wants to leave, so even if cafu stays, we will need to get one more player for the right.

sevilla should reach the semi finals of the uefa cup tonight. So hopefully Alves may get noticed by Milan.

Honestly with the amount of right backs out there now Alves, Raviellere, Clerc, Gallas (not real right back, but excellent regardless) I would be dissapointed if we settled for Oddo. It is a position which is clearly important to our system and galliani needs to get the best man not the best deal. Im not really convinced about Trablesi personally.

Looks like Simic has signed his fate, So Stam, Simic and Costacurta wont be there next season and cant be reiled on. Cafu may also be added to that list.

Simic blasts boss Ancelotti Thursday 6 April, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dario Simic is on his way out of Milan after launching a stinging attack on boss Carlo Ancelotti.

“I’m certain, very certain that the time has arrived for a change of environment,” he told Sportske Novosti.

The defender is ready to turn his back on the hugely successful Rossoneri after regularly being overlooked by the tactician this term.

Simic has appeared in 13 League games, four in the Coppa Italia and twice in the Champions League, but he insists he deserved more of a chance and at least an explanation from the Coach.

“I’m disappointed and angry, especially with the coldness of Ancelotti,” continued the former Inter player.

“Despite my performances during games, the work I do in training and my professional comportment, that hasn’t been enough for the Coach to give me a reason for my lack of use.

“I think I deserve more respect than that currently shown.”

Simic did have a few injury problems earlier this term, yet he insists that he’s back to his best physically.

“This situation really makes no sense to me,” he noted. “I demonstrated that I was up to the job after my operation.

“However, the fact that I don’t even enter the Coach’s thoughts as an alternative to Jaap Stam clearly shows that he has no faith in me.”

Simic was already close to leaving the San Siro last season, but was convinced to stay by Vice-President Adriano Galliani.

We've been lucky to have model professionals like Simic, Ambrosini, etc. They don't get alot of playing time but they accept it ... or at least keep quiet about it which is to their credit. Other players in the same position would kick and scream, throwing little tantrums and causing all sorts of disruption. For this we should be thankful.

I think Dario's time was at an end anyway, even if this outburst hadn't happened. He was close to leaving last summer and with his lack of playing time it was almost inevitable that he'd depart.

I wish him all the best wherever he goes, forza Dario
