yes thts true,,,,, but if we change system we still need some ooffensive plyr.... AMF or CF who isnt a totally like gila, pippo...... we need a player who can run with the ball well, a fantasy play-maker kinda guy... sure gila can do tht, but we still need another striker like tht.
but most of all, tht person must have heart....

If we played with a faster midfield like that Gila had in Parma then he would score a lot of goals, even in Euro competition no doubt

I think Gila can easily match Sheva in terms of goal scoring---just look at his goals scored in serie a this year; and with Sheva gone, I think he would have more opportunities to shine and I think he will score more goals.

As for the system of play, we dont necessarily have to change it. I think Gila can definitely play as a withdrawn striker with another "target" man. He holds the ball up really well and makes good runs. However, if that were the case, then someone else would have to step up and cover more ground behind the strikers, aka Kaka.

Either way, I am optimistic. I think Gila will do very well for us next year.
yeah i hope so gilardino is the future of milan

Gila's time is has and "conti" dont worry about the midfield cuz with kaka gaining much more space than before and that there is a possiblilty to get gerrard, gila will come on top.

Gila is next in my heart

first great moment:
his 1st goal vs. sampdoria

Italy's goal against Switzerland (Friendly) today was scored by none other than Mr. Alberto Gilardino...

And then he got into offsides on Totti's passes.

He needs to practice how to position himself and beat those offside traps.
Then he will be very very useful.

It's too early to show your best. greece didn't exactly walk all over The Czechs but won the euro. In these tournaments, efficiency is the one thing that really matters. the last time Italy won the WC, they squeezed out of the group stages with 3 sorry-butt draws on goal difference, but eventually won the tournament after beating Brazil and Germany.

yeah i know good point ... the thing is to italia is that they are really really hard to beat ... i mean they dont get beaten in proper time in almost any game wether thats a tournament or not i mean italia were unbeaten in euro 2004 its a shame they went out

even though this thread is about Gila, not Italia's WC team, I have to say that Italy has pretty much always advanced as second place in its group... barely making it to the second round... and it is then that they get tough...

I always saw peoples keep on saying buy who who who to replace Sheva, Henry? Eto'o? Tevez?.....but, as you all know, currently there's no player in the market can take Sheva's place.

IMO, the new Sheva is already in our team, HE is GILARDINO !!!

The Reasons? He can dribble, can create chances, can assist, can score and the most important of all, Sheva's position is in fact the NATURAL POSITION FOR GILARDINO !!!

Remember: What happened to the Central Defender position problem we faced earlier this season? Our club was looking high and low in the whole Europe to find an adequate Central Defender. Cris, Alex and so so so....in the end what happened? The best player who solve our Central Defender problem is in fact already in Our Team!!! And he is KALADZE!!!

And don't forget this season Gila and Pippo also play together in certain matches whithout Sheva, and they perform well !!

So, I'm wondering...

- Why can't we think in an alternative way? Why we always think so straight foward? 1 to 1 replacement sometimes is NOT the BEST SOLUTION!!

- Why the experienced Milan Club Officials always make the same mistake? Why they never realise sometimes the best player who can solve the position problem is already in our team? Why they never search INSIDE FIRST before go searching OUTSIDE? Milan nearly make the mistake on the Central Defender position this season, don't make the same mistake again on Sheva's position, before it is too late!!

So, if you ask me who should we buy? I would say RVN. Gila take Sheva position, RVN take Gila position, RVN is a good striker and now is the perfect time to buy him!! With him, next season our strike force will be as strong as ever!!!

I don't know you all agree or not. But my wish of writing this is if someone here who know the Club Official agree on my view, could you please pass this message to them? Either by mail. email, verbal, SMS...whatever....

I love this club and I know Milan can expect trophies only if we make RIGHT DECISION and buy the RIGHT PERSON!!!

Thanks
OH MY GOD!!!! Please read what have written and think through...Gila creates a lot of chances?! Well, maybe..I have never seen but maybe... A LOT BETTER, though, Gila can kill much greater opportunities, (created by his team mates)then he have ever created himself.
Sheva's position is in fact the NATURAL POSITION FOR GILARDINO???? That sounds CRAZY!!! Sheva is a natural leader..he leads the game...he is everywhere where help is needed..in defence, middle and attack. There have never been Sheva's position, coz he was always everywhere...Gila is not capable for that and will never be. Gila simply is not a leader...he needs to be leaded.
Gila cannot face the competition...he is either the BEST (and the only striker) in the team, or he is nothing...
Gila assists??? Really??? Maybe looses the ball more often...but definately not known for great passing and assist.

Really??? They performed well??? Maybe Inzaghi performed well for both of them??? Because Gila simply cannot produce anything himself...Inzaghi and Kaka performed well...Gila didnt...
With kaladze there is a different story..dont compare Kaha, who had to sit on a substitution bench with no opportunities to show himself...Kaha also had his ups and downs..And this season he had been definately UP and played great!

And the last, but most important thing: SHEVA CANNOT BE REPLACED BY ANYONE IN THIS WORLD, especially by Alberto Gilardino.
