why do you think that ?
Dida is leaving .. we need to find a sub for him ..
and transfering Zambrota , Cannavaro/Thuram would be a big plus in our defence .. IMO cannavaro would be fit with nesta so i prefer him .. Thuram could go to man.utd

I generally believe that management has done well in getting good young players that have formed the core of this team. Pirlo and Pippo in 2001, Nesta and Seedorf in 2002, Kaka in 2003, and Gila in 2005, and hopefully Gourcuff turns out to be the same in 2006, along with whichever other buys we make. However, I don't understand why we are salivating over defenders who may have 1 or 2 good yrs left in them. Thuram and Cannavaro are good players but are 33-34. Why not go for a Mexes, Lugano, Marquez, etc... Their transfer fee would be higher yet the return would be worth it. Also, I believe Kaladze performed extremely well as a center back last season, so why are people trying to push him out of the team. He and Nesta formed a strong partnership, plus he is 28. If we are to get a center back, let's get a young one and have him learn and play under the tutelage of the current stars we have. We are also getting back our great captain this yr. He may be 38 now, but if I recall correctly, he was playing at a high level last yr before his injury.

yes they make good work transfering young players .. but look teams in Premier League for example Arsenal .. better part of their first squad was with players under 26 .. WE GOT TO DO BETTER !!

Sky is now reporting our intrest in Maxi...

If we get Gallas, to add to Gourcuff, and Torres + Maxi...my summer transfer fantasy would come true!!

Too bad this scandal is prolonging our transfer dealings...

well.. a source from channel 4. The last threat had been close.. so post it here..

Calderon: Kaka has Real deal

Despite extending his contract with Milan, Kaka will join Real Madrid this summer, insists Presidential candidate Ramon Calderon.
“There are no doubts that Kaka will play with Real Madrid next season,” the businessman told Spanish newspaper ‘As’.
“If I should fail to win the election, then I’d explain to the new President how to make the move happen, because Kaka does want to come here.”
Calderon’s interest in the Brazilian starlet is nothing new, but his announcement that he would speak personally with the player at the World Cup camp in Germany infuriated Milan.
The club referred the matter to FIFA as an illegal approach, then extended Kaka’s contract until 2011 in a bid to end the rumours of a future with the Galacticos.
“I signed this contract and now the stories about me going to Madrid should go away,” said the Selecao star when he put pen to paper. “I have no intention of leaving Milan. I am happy here.”
Calderon has been proclaiming many deals ahead of the contested Real Madrid Presidential election, pledging to bring Juventus Coach Fabio Capello and Chelsea’s Dutch master Arjen Robben to the Bernabeu.
His latest comments, however, are set to earn him another reprimand from Milan and therefore FIFA.

This Calderon buy is out of his mind, he is just saying this so that he gets elected...

I saw that too, and I don't know what to say...according to Kaka, what Calderon had said is only empty election talk.

its a shame what people will do to win politics. I feel bad for Kaka to have to put up with these rumours, as well as the Rest of Milan camp.

To me it doesn't matter if other teams beat us in the 'number' of transfers, as long as we beat them in the 'number' of points at the end of the season.
