I think Gilardino will be fine to start this match and although there are no easy games, this an easier one for him to score in when compared to our match afterwards which is Livorno away.

A goal and a good performance will do him the power of good. I think the other striking spot should be between Oliveira and Boriello, with one coming on as a sub after a while.

Gourcuff should start and i think Kaka should sit this one out. Seedorf should start also. If Kaladze wasn't quite ready for the large part he played on Sunday, then i'm not sure it would be right to play him against Ascoli. Hopefully Maldini/Nesta will be fit to go with Simic at the back. Cafu & Jankulovski for the full-backs.

Dida - Jankulovski - Nesta - Simic - Cafu - Seedorf - Pirlo - Ambrosini - Gourcuff - Gilardino - Boriello

Oliveira, Bonera, Favalli, Brocchi as some of the subs.

maybe we will not risk anything with KLaladze and Nesta and play Maldini-Simic in defence, with Cafu and Jankulovski on the flanks. In the middle, Pirlo-Seedorf-Brocchi,Gourcuff, and in front Pippo-Boriello.

Lol I don't think Totti was about to do that! It was captain and coach showing affections! That would be making a story out of nothing. Plus Roma was leading with 2 goals already and Totti has started for 3 games including the CL game. They would want him fully fit against Inter on Wednesday.

Yeh Arcy. Obviously Totti would never do tht. He wudn't want his wages cut down. But the show of affections was indeed 'Roman' stayle.
If Gila gets an Ok to start he should start this game. I see no reason for him to be dropped as he needs to find the net as soon as possible. However, I think Pippo should start this game. Not using him when he is in this kind of form wud be too foolish a thing to do. Yeh sure he can be subbed after an hour mark but he should start just so that he keeps his touch. Gourcuff might get his Serie A debut though. Another start wud do the kid's confidence a world of good.

I should imagine Gourcuff's confidence is way up high anyway, what with all the praise he was getting before kicking a ball for the first team, then having a great debut and then all the press and praise he got afterwards. He should be on cloud 9 already

Gila didnt scored straight away last season, and crespo didnt the season before... Anyone know what number the parma game was last year? thought it was 4/5?

i would like to see Borriello start this match as Gila has been ruled out, he did very well pre season, Brocchi should do also, he has really surprised me so far!

because we play against ascoli, and they are not strong squad i think Carlo should play with this players and thi formation

Dida-Cafu-simic-maldini-Favaiil-pirlo-gattuso-gourcuff-kaka'-pippo-boriello. Like we did against AEK, Favalli to protect Gourcuff, with kaka and Cafu working on the right side, with Gattuso to protect that. Pippo and Boriello will do just fine, im sure.
