ok ok ok...............the only reason i ask is bcoz im new to being a soccer fan, i was just curious as to why people don't like gila. from what I have seen of him....i think he is good........and cute.......

All I'm going to say is that in 5 years time, everyone will love Gila.

He hasn't done poorly, and some folks like to make it seem like he's terrible - but he's not.

I was also surprised how quickly some folks turned against Seedorf. Had a great couple of games, then a mediocre one and some people here are wanting his head. I just don't understand this.

Gila is class and will only get better.

I don't know what you've seen of Gila. He did manage to score a goal or 2 during the World Cup. He scores for us occasionally. To my way of thinking, simply not enough to be lauded as a solution or replacement to anyone or anything. I can't even tell if he's working hard, b/c unless I see him actually missing a goal, I don't see him on the field at all. Maybe it's me, maybe I just haven't figured out where he is on the field when he isn't...doing anything else, if that makes sense. So my complaint is, we can't depend on him to score consistently, and we NEED consistency, we can't afford these scoreless ties! And cute...well, looks don't help on the field...unless you are Paolo Maldini and you have those piercing, ice blue eyes to turn on opponents and scare the crap out of them b/c you're such a living legend!

Debs......the guy scored more goals then Shevchenko last year in Serie A. If I am not mistaken....it was 17 or 18 in 18 starts or something like that. That is pretty good if you ask me. How can you say that we can't count on him scoring consistently after these stats.
Yes I see your point when it comes up to the CL but I think he'll get there. And also this year he has had a tough tough start. But he'll improve. Just like Crespo did a few years back. You can't possible say that he can't score consistently. What are your grounds for that? 2 months of this season?? How about the past 3 seasons when he has CONSTANTLY been on top of the scoring charts. And I read all this stuff about pressure in a big club and him only scoring against small clubs. What pressure? Based on what?....2 bad months of this season? He'll be underway. As for scoring against small clubs....a goal is a goal. And most of time time we find it hard to score against "small" clubs, so I am pretty sure those of you that say this won't mind him scoring then.
Let's just leave the guy alone. He has shown that he has potential to become one of the great strikers that Milan has had, an I have all the faith that he will continue to prove that. Don't rite a guy as dead because of a bad 3-4 month spell.
