I would rather have Motta than Emerson though, mainly due to his age advantage and his potential....

I would take Emo over Motta. But if Real play hard to get, then no point wasting our time dealing with them. Then, I'd rather pay 4-5 M and get Motta right away...and then of course get Emerson on a free in january ala Ronaldo

This being said, Tiago Motta will be announced within a couple of days ... Emerson was the back up plan due to fears of Milan management that he has developed pubalgia (chronic groin pain) and Milan needs their reinforcement to step in immediately.

And remember that you heard it here first ...

hmmmm..... certian things leaves a sweet taste when being sucked.

and my cristal ball in a louder voice is merging the words Emerson/Milan/this afternoon, evening or may be tomorrow.

COUGH Zlatanov COUGH!!!!

tgCOM says that Real's football market opens today. From today Emerson may be a Milan's player. The brazilian arrives on loan.

OH really!!!! What a stupid management we have!!!!!!

If they use your logic we need only 11 players.

Imagine how much money can be saved if we keep only 11 players.!!!!!

Seems like Ajax is now ready to make an offer for Motta..
And Motta himself would not mind a move to the club.

Actually playing with only eleven players is easy....all you have to do is play in "Amateur mode" and if a player gets injured you simply reset without saving

Emerson is a Gattuso syle player and like him we got Rino, Ambrosini & Brocchi so IMO we don't need him that much. The problem with Emerson are his age (31) and phsical conditions but there problems we encountered them and solved them in recent past with Cafu in 2004 and Ronaldo few months ago.

If Gourcuff is really the petite Zizou then we don't need midfielders, or else let's loan Yoann for a year to see what he's capable of and bring Emerson, possibly for a 1 year loan deal.

Yesterday acmilan.com reported that the Emerson discussion is being kept on hold because there's a difference between Milan's offer and Real's demand.

This may be the result of the good performance shown by Gourcuff in the tim cup vs Inter where IMO he was our best player. Real are also afraid in giving us Emerson since they are our rivals in the Champions League. Milan want Emerson in the same way Sampdoria signed Cassano and to say the truth Milan where going to pay Emerson's full wage and 2 million for a 1 year deal. It is clear that Real are afraid of reinforcing a competitor.

Anyway with or without Emerson our squad is not going to chANGE that much

Our team is fine as it is, but we have many aged players. And aged players are more prone to injuries, so to have a player like Emerson on our bench is a good Bonus, especially if he comes cheap.

I have said it numerous times. I would definitely want Emerson in our squad. The only thing I'm surprised about Real Madrid is why are they being so difficult, or is it just second nature for the Calderon/Mijatovic delusional pair?

There is no room for Emerson in their squad for next year. He has a contract with them, they are paying him a pretty hefty salary. There is only ONE buyer interested in him, and we are willing to pay a transfer (though minimal) fee for him---i.e. take him on loan, pay his wages, and perhaps buy him outright next year. What seems to be the problem? Do they really think they can get top dollar for a 31 year old who had a so so year, and who is not really setting the market on fire?

The Ronaldo fiasco has convinced me more than ever of the ineptitude of the Real managment team. We offered good money for him last summer---they went on and asked for close to Sheva's transfer fee for him. And then what happens---they dont play him, and then land up selling him to us for a fraction of what we offered to pay just 4 months before....So I agree with our management completely. If Real want to play hard ball about Emo, then the hell with it---we should just stop negotiations and look elsewhere....let's hope the MOtta deal works out.
