I hope Kalac will start again instead of Dida. I'm more comfortable watching the game with him in front of the goal. At least for that one game against Donetsk. It's been a while since I saw Dida made that many saves in one game.

Totti Out Of Milan Clash
Roma have been dealt a massive blow ahead of Sunday big match with Milan after it was revealed that Francesco Totti would not be fit for the game.

The talismanic captain picked up an ankle injury in the Champions League victory over Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday night and it had been initially feared that he would be out for several weeks.

However tests undergone at Rome’s training ground on Wednesday were positive and Totti was even able to participate in some light training with the rest of the squad.

It was hoped that Er Pupone would recover in time for the San Siro showdown with Milan but it has now been confirmed that he definitely will not play.

Roma’s medical team are now working around the clock in a bid to get Totti fit for Wednesday night’s local derby with Lazio.

It has been a cruel run of recent fixtures for the Giallorossi, who have been drawn to face Juventus, Fiorentina, Inter, Milan and Lazio all in the space of eight games.

The capital club currently sit in fourth position in Serie A, five points behind league-leaders Inter.

Carlo Garganese

Football is crazy. In the game vs. Shaktar, AC Milan marked all the 4 goals always after a corner, every time with the opposing defence already arranged and lined up. And it is really even more absurd if you think then that Kakà have failed all those other occasions to score, but this is football. We forget the 2 Gilardino headers, right just after Galliani regret for a centre forward on the style of Bierhof...
According to me, the problem is physical and psychological at the same time, anyway it's essential to mark as soon as possible in order the counterattack was able to be devastating, especially because Roma defence too up to now is not at the top.

Looks like there is a chance that Totti wont make the trip which can only mean good news.

Hopefully we can carry on with our CL form.

agreed...i am really starting to believe that our players have a difficult time getting motivated against the "minnows" of serie a. Luckily, roma is a "big tuna" coming to town and our players will be pyched up an ready to play.
without totti, i see milan winning this game.

with that being said, i think it is high time for carlo to earn his $$ by:
1) making sure his players are ready to kill b4 every match!!!!

2) figure out how to win against the defencive style that is being reported as the method to beat milan.

i have a few suggestions, however carlo has stopped taking my calls after my tyrad on not playing gourcuff.

Difficult to say how to lineup for this game. I'm a little nervous but mostly excited. The difference for us is that confidence and focus is higher than it was a week ago, and this is important.

Don't really mind which of Dida or Kalac play, both performed solidly in the last two matches. Defensively I think Nesta and Maldini will most likely feature, which is good to see, the big worry is at LB, as Favalli still isn't performing and Serginho's just returned. Kaladze or Bonera if ok is an option too. However, I suspect Favalli will get the nod as he's played the role more often this season.

Midfield is "as you were" really, whilst in attack for me Gila HAS TO play. His form is close to it's peak right now and he's looking sharper and more confident each game, and physically he's in decent shape too.

Personally, I'd go for

------------------------Dida------------------------
---Oddo------Nesta--------Maldini--------Favalli----
--------------Rino----Pirlo--------Ambro------------
-------------Seedorf---------Kaka-----------------
-----------------------Gila-------------------------

I also think that's the lineup we'll see, with Serginho, Pippo and Gourcuff our main attacking weapons on the bench.

Spalletti is probably my biggest concern. He's one of the few coaches that in previous seasons has regularly got the better of Ancelotti, which is quite rare. However, I think right now we can look ahead with optimism as Roma's form is not great and we are improving. Defensively, we must get tighter though, as Roma will push forward in numbers and will have joy if we defend like we did against Shaktar.

I would play Emerson in Gattuso's spot though. Serginho and Pippo can come off the bench depending on the game.

Emerson might be familiar to Roma but we need to play with our strongest team. I don't think Favalli should start, he never convinces me this year. Just like Pancaro, he was really helpful in his first season with us, but there's no more gas left in his tank.

Roma has Giuly on the right side, a very skillful and tricky player. Therefore I think it'll be better if Kala play as a LB

From what i've read Janku won't be available for this match.so i think Kala or even Favalli again will role as LB.

I really hope Milan win this time.Score?I don't care as long as Milan win

I would definitely say so, seeing that he underwent knee surgery earlier this week.
