tactically as long as as ambro and emo stay fit(and to a lesser extent brocchi) and rotate each other Milan should be all right without rinno, HOWEVER in terms of leadership and that "extra element" that gattusso brings to the game his absence will be missed, I still remember how he took the ball away from C. Ronaldo last year on the semis, that was so classic...I would put Gila and Pato upfront together with kaka behind them, seedorf, ambro/emo, and pirlo complete the other line, and the usuals at the back except for KALAC instead of...the other guy

do you mean both Pato and Gila upfront against Fiorentina since 1st minute ?
I guess it won't happened.
Carletto only has 2 striker and i think he will choose one of them to play since 1st minute.

This sucks big time. No Gattuso for 50 days. Well I am still keeping my hopes up that he will somehow be back earlier. Let's see what happens.

I don't mind seeing a 5 man midfield for the first half. If things aren't going our way then we can have Gilardino come in for the last half hour or so. At the same time I don't mind playing Gila up front with Pato from the start, but I just don't think Carlo will do that. Also, having Jankulovski ready for this one will be of great help, that is if he is ready. Also, I have always said it.....Pirlo further up the field means more chances and more movement of the ball in that last thirt of the field. I really hope that Carlo will do the same thing again and allow Pirlo to move up and have a more free role.
What we need to do is move the ball at speed. Something that we did great in the first half of the game against Reggina. It was all one and two touch football and because of that we looked dangerous. As a matter of fact, playing like we did in the first half of that game should be the way the team should play against Fiorentina as well. Aggresive. On wednesday we pressured Reggina all over the field, and yes because of that we suffered in the second half where you could just see the players getting tired. That's why players should be brought on at 55-60-65 minutes in the game and not in the 80th minute (which is really the big thing that annoys me about Carlo).

Beating Fiorentina away would really put a statement that we are starting to be consistent. Let's hope that we can score one early and then CLOSE the game. (close as in score another one early in the second)

if he plays with 2 strikers from 1st minute he'll still have the midfielders to sub... i just dont understand why you guys think carlo wont do that, he did it vs Reggina...
i mean really, you can sub an attacker with a midfielder, its allowed, i swear!

as for Gattuso i believe he'll have a fight with couple of the doctors in the milanlab so they "fix" him faster

and considering sunday the line up would be(atleast thats what i'll do)

Actually, I exoect this one on sunday. Aldough I would paly Pato becouse of his speed, we are too slow this way.

I think Gattuso can recover for the second game in S Siro. He often recovers quickly from injuries. A good Calabrese chili diet and he'll be fit in 15 days.

Ch. 4 just reported that Gattuso will only be out three weeks instead of two months.
