I like that

Lets hope Liverpool, Arsenal & other old enemies fail to qualify for the knock out phase of the CL & come face to face with ACM. I won't mind ACM vs Liverpool part III as the Uefa Cup final

For you and Siregar: I used "Ahmad" because it's a pun on the words "A Mad" as in "a crazy" (person) it isn't meant to be offensive...if you take the whole name as a whole it's supposed to sound like "a mad $h!thead" it wasn't an attack/slur on the muslim or middle eastern community.....It's kind of like the way comedians use the name Ben Dover for it to sound like "bend over"

The entire post was meant to be tongue-in-cheek or sarcastically funny. I guess english has to be your native language for you to appreciate it. Sorry if I offended anyone

Can we choose not to play Uefa Cup and play only domestic matches?

Yes of course, actually, even when you qualify for the CL, you may refuse the qualification ... quite stupid in this case because CL allows the club to earn money, and players like this competition, so no club refuses that.

But for UEFA Cup, I don't remember any team refusing to play it directly, but I remember French teams who refused to play Intertoto (the first matches in summer) and so UEFA Cup ...

Anyway, even if for me, I'd rather a CL spot or nothing, I don't think that our management would refuse an UEFA Cup qualification: it's still an European cup (low level anyway until semi-finals/final) and as a consequence, that can attract some players ...

I understand the second name but failed to understand the first one. Now I understand what you mean. Thank you for your explanation.

It is bad and not so bad to be beaten by Arsenal in the CL but to be beaten by Zagreb and Sophia in the UEFA Cup would be rock bottom... I strongly believe that if play Uefa cup the Big Headed two wont sign anyone...look at it... they will feel that the present squad can win Uefa Cup... I say we save our selves the embarssment and play only Domestic competitions....

For those having trouble with Dru's name pun, think of the Simpson's and what Bart does when he phones Moe's bar. Here's one:

Amanda Kissandhug
(A Man To Kiss And Hug)

Does that help anyone?

I think they have realised that signings have to be made. We've done very well to keep up with the major European and Italian teams, considering the little money that has been spent on the side.

Guys, if we didn't play in the UEFA cup that would be a total insult to UEFA and to football; it is also a sure sign of major snobbery. Think about what you are saying-Milan should be so selfish that we chose to opt out of a european competition? All along, everyone says Milan is great, Milan is passion...well Milan is great and passion wherever we play. Are you going to opt out of Serie B because it's "beneath us?" Give me a break. All I know is if Milan don't play in the Uefa Cup, we will be looked at as sore losers and pathetic.
