Pato and Inzaghi can score Lugano, but not with Seedorf being the only ball suplier..
Seedorf is a good midfielder, but playing him as the only AM doesn't work, last season showed this enough times.

Not sure where to talk about this, but as it's kind of a transfer i'll chat about it here. Apologies if there's a thread already open about this ... but, well i'm too lazy to look.

After the Lugano disaster, Ancelotti is said to have had a massive go at the players (quite rightly to i think) and had a meeting with the bald one. Now it seems his position is under threat and he could be replaced if results this month are unfavourable, some also say if he loses against Genoa he could be gone.

They're talking about Donadoni or Rijkaard replacing him! Now i don't want that at all. Ancelotti is better than Donadoni and at least on a par with Rijkaard. Considering how Ronaldinho got on with the Dutchman, i don't see how getting Frank is the right decision. I hope this is all nonsense, as losing Ancelotti is one transfer i don't want to happen.

I couldn't agree with you more, Jim.

The thing is that we had no preseason for our new players and kaka and borriello were injured so this September is actually our preseason and time to gel players into a homogeneous mix.
Hopefully our problems from week 1 (lack of finishing) are over and the time is here to start winning.

Genova or no Genova, Carlo has lost the strings of this team last season, and this season we cant fighjt for the scudetto with Ancelotti's playing ideas. Which are non existant.

Milan will most likely not go for Rijkaard as now we have bought Ronaldinho, but for Donadoni. Who is also not good enough for Milan...

I dont know what to say, Im sure Carlo has lost confidence of the players and authority. But I dont see any caoches available. Maybe Billy or Baresi. Like Guardiola took over in Barcelona. Or just let Paolo Maldini sit on the bench and do the job

you wanted him to stop using the 4-3-2-1 formation, and he did, he used the 4-2-3-1 formation, lost, and got bashed for it... i just dont get what the fans want from Carlo..

1)he's not getting the players he wants
2)the 2 fit strikers are a 35 years old and a 19 years old(no disrespect to both of them)
other managers would have been long gone(quite, not sacked) if they were put into his position...

imo, i dont expect Carlo to be sacked after the 2nd match(if its a loss) nor in middle season(unless we're in the relegation zone), remember, we're not Chelsea nor some Serie B team trying to stay in Serie A..

if Carlo fails to deliver results this season, he would get sacked by the end of the season, and that is a thing i'm sure of.

he didnt stop, he started with 4-3-2-1 but chenged it in half time after we looked lost again. He lost becouse we are in tactical chaos, and if that is something you cant see that I really, really cant explain it more.

Other managers would have quit becouse they have...you know what. He doesnt. This year HE HAS GOOD ENOUGH TEAM for the scudetto fight.

Im sure we will trash Genova on sunday, our players can play as hell when they want to. But, when they want to.

Berlusconi left Carlo on the bench simply becouse he was the only coach that would shut op and let Silvio bring the players he wants, not the coach. Otherwise Carlo would be sacked after losing CL place last season.

donadoni and Rijkaard are no better then Ancelotti, Donadoni is even worse coach. Rijkaard is similar.

you just answered yourself why we dont win more...

the players just need that extra motivation, that blow the management recieved and sent them on a buying spree..

if it is true that Carlo had a go at the players, they do deserve it because they can only blame themselves for not scoring(considering they had multiple chances)

two little particulars about Carletto: he lighted a cigarette when he was on the bench, and absolutely it is forbidden.
Yesterday then , for the first time since 2001 his first year as Milan coach, Ancelotti didn't go to the press conference.

imo, he is not the responsible fot this situation, yes, sure he made mistakes but if you have not the players you need....
I disagree with Ace, I think he will be sacrified because he is the perfect reason to explain this season Milan failure.
Or Ace, do you really think that Galliani (read Berluskoni) admit to be the only responsible?

if there is someone to be blamed it is Berlusconi and the players...

how can you explain a team losing 5-0 to Chelsea on one day and then going on to thrash Juve 4-1 on another day... yes Juve were mostly youth players, but still..

or.... how can you explain a team playing so poor throughout the season and in the last couple of weeks almost destroying every team they played against... with the same tactics been played the whole season.

but, i dont deny the fact that Carlo has made some wrong moves here and there. but also you should deny the fact that its not only his fault we lost/will lose

sorry, Ace I agree with you except for this your speech.

I do think the board has already decided: firing Carletto could be a good answer to the tifosi in order to keep them calm again for a little.
Remember we are talking about a smart politician, anyway a negative person, an outlaw, imo, but he and his stuff are capable in useing the brain.
So, imo, where is a better way in order to escape from this Milan disaster that to fire 'mortadella man'? (Arrigo Sacchi said the same days ago....)

Genoa, a very delicate game.

i am not making excuses for our attack... the players do hav a mind of their own (i hope) so if Carlo taticks not working a player should play as they know best...
Kaka and Dinho are actually strikers in our system... Pirlo and Seedorf need to take more shots at goal, then the strikers can get to tap in some rebounds... Pippo would love that.
We also need to improve our set plays... we need to score from atleast 30% of our set plays... we seem to be week in that area.

true but guys he never benches like seedorf play like crap... there is simply no motivation on this side unless its against juve, inter, roma or a CL team

I think Ancelotti will be fired sooner or later this season. Maybe not after Sunday's game but when things gets rough (and I believe things will be very rough for this team this season again), the management will have no choice but to sacrifice him. Now whether or not that's a good thing remains to be seen because we don't know who the replacement will be. To me, firing Ancelotti may not be as bad a move as many here think it is for several reasons.

First, Ancelotti plays favorites with players. Guys like Seedorf never gets replaced no matter how bad they play. Seedorf seems to have a lot of power behind the scenes for no reason. This is not good for team chemistry because there are guys sitting on the bench who can contribute better but can't get the opportunity to do so.

Secondly, Ancelotti is lousy at developing young players. He has been here for 8 years now, and which young player did he develop over the years? Kaka is the only one jumps to my mind but Ancelotti didn't really develop him because Kaka was ready to play when he came over. With this team currently in the rebuilding mode, the ability to develop young players is one of the biggest key to our coach.

Third of all, Ancelotti has simply been here too long. Look, he is a great coach who has brought us many trophies, but at some point, enough is enough. The playres have simply tuned him out. Some of you guys have been talking about how our players aren't as motivated as they should in games, but isn't it the coach's job to motivate his players? Ancelotti no longer has any tricks up his sleeves to motivate his players and a fresh coach is needed if that is the case.

Lastly, firing Ancelotti will put all the pressure on the management to finally start doing their job right. You guys probably don't need to be reminded of how badly we performed on the market the last few seasons. Even this past summer, with our management supposedly went on a "spending spree", we actually only spent 5 million euros on the market. That is less than our transfer budget for the last few years and even less than some serie B team's budget. With this kind of investment, is it really wonder that our team can't challenge Inter for the Scudetto? Not to me. Sure, we brought in some nice players, but we still didn't deliver on the three positions we needed most, a finisher up front, a world class central defender and a goalkeeper. After all those years of underperforming, this team no longer had the luxury to wait for more investments. They need to make the right signings and they need to make them right now! But with Ancelotti in charge, the management can do whatever they want with the team because Carlo will never say anything. Without him, the new coach will most likely have more backbone and stand up to the management instead of getting pushed around all the time. And that, is better for the future of this team.

Of course, firing Ancelotti has its risk factors, especially if the replacement is Donadoni, who flat out stunk as a coach for the national team. But I just want to say that Ancelotti leaving could be a blessing in disguise and a move we desperately needed to get this team back in shape.
