A.C. MILAN vs INTER 28/08/09

Whatever the defence will be the guys need to fight untill the end. Im sure Maldini will play and, as much as I blamewd him for Genova game, Maldini is Maldini. His football inteligenge in the derby can help.

I would personally play Flamini as a LB, as I know he cant play that extremly well and he is a player capable of closing Maicon. Marek is a very goof LB, but better in smaller games when he can attack with more freedom. Flamini and Zambrotta are better in 1 on 1 duels.

I dont think Senderos will have his debut with his new defence in the Derby, that is not possible. But aldough he is a bit slow, he can fix our problems in the air, and every defender in th world plays 20% better when paired with Nesta.

And Nesta will be back and kick ass again!! He is too good to be washed out at 32. He now only needs fitness regime, which will last 2-3 weeks.

He has had 2 weeks of pure training, he should be able to play good 60-70 min. We need tight middle for the game:

What going to be Inter line up for the game?

Back four has to be Zambro, Maldini, Kaladze, Janku

Maldini has had a chance to rest and an old Maldini is a better option than all of our other awful defenders. Youth does not compensate for lack of quality. Janku needs to carry on his great form. Kaladze's experience of derbys including the 6-0 will mean he starts.

The last few derbies have seen Inter not bothering to battle against Gatusso. Instead they have bypassed him by just passing around him and closing him down when he gets the ball. They know his distribution is poor. So Id prefer Flamini and Ambro with Seedorf. Carlo will go for his trusted Rino, Ambro and Seedorf though.

Front 3 will be Kaka, Pato and Sheva unless Boriello recovers.

there is no chance at all we'll see flamini as a back against inter..he will start in th medfield with gattuso,especially if we play with 2 strikers..if we paly with one striker and ronie, then ambro will start because he can help us score..

p.s.if boriello is fit i think he'll start,although id like to see ronie..

I just read all your comments and it seems that some info about Milan didnt arrrived at Milanmania.

Borriello is certainly out for Inter,its impossible for him to play so dont count on him...he is injured.

And now something important:Ancelotti just said that he wont start with Ronaldinho and Sheva against Inter.

Maldini will of course play because he was rested yesterday to be fresh for the derby,we all now he is going to play.If our captain is available then Carletto always let him play,especially in big matches like the one against Inter

So that means that we will certainly play our x-mas formation with Abiatti in the goal,Zambro and Janku as our backs,Bonera or Kaladze together with Maldini as our CB's,the midfield will be Flamini, Gattuso and Ambrosini and Seedorf and Kaka will be supporting youngster Pato in the attack

Abbiati;Zambrotta;Bonera/Kaladze,Maldini(C),Jankulovski;Gattuso,Flamini,Ambrosini;Kaka,Seedorf;Pato.

This will be certainly our (starting) line-up if you look at the comments of Carlo(no dinho and sheva)and no Borriello.

I hope we can kick Inter's but with the x-mas formation

I have to say, no disrespect to a player I truely respect, but Maldini in the derby recently hasn't had the best form, especially when going one on one with Zlatan

The 2-1 Ronaldo derby was won because of two lazy mistakes by Maldini and Jankulovski, the 2-1 1st derby of 2007-2008 was won because of a Maldini poor clearance and Dida

So I wont say that Maldini in big matches against Inter and Juve a definite positive sign for the defense, he is reliable but against Inter and Juve is not so consistent
