Pirlo isnt ready yet to play from the first whistle,he said it himself...so he will probably join the midfield in the final 10 minutes or something like that.

I just read the press conference of Ancelotti and he said that the injury of Borriello isnt maybe that serious because it could just be that the muscle that gave him pain is tired.

He also said that the Chievo game comes too early for Pirlo so he wont make his comeback yet,we have to wait untill next week.

Ambro is not fit yet,Nesta is doing fine in Miami but he only had a few sessions.

ZAMBROTTA HAS A NECK PROBLEM!But Carletto said that he expect that Zambro will be there tommorow. But if he wont, then Bonera will move to the right side. But again:He will be there tommorow he has nothing serious!

Our attacking trio will be KA-RO-PA.

So the formation will be:Abbiati,Zambro,Bonera,Kaladze,Janku,Gattuso,Seedorf,Flamini,Kaka,Dinho,Alexandre Pato.

MILANELLO – These are the declarations of Ancelotti:

“We want to return to the top spot, each game is good, it’s true that now we must hope in others, but apart from the results, we returned from Lecce with a good game, we must always play like that.

“What I can say about Di Carlo’s only game on the Chievo bench, against Juventus, is that I saw I a lot of speed in attack: the attackers can create difficulty if they are not followed closely.

“Milan is fine, the team has worked well during the week, we’re in a good moment from the physical and mental point of view.

“There are some problems tied to the injuries? I must evaluate the conditions of some players, but I will manage to fill the holes.

“Zambrotta has a problem to his neck, differently from Borriello’s problems. He will be evaluated today, but there shouldn’t be any problems. If Zambrotta will not play, Bonera will take his place on the right hand side. Playing with two left-footers at the centre of the defence could be a problem? Yes, but considering that we have played a lot of time with two right-footers, Nesta and Milan...

“Ambros is not available; Pirlo will not go on the bench.

“Sheva is motivated, available, improving and will give an excellent contribution.

“The fact of playing with all the others and not at night is slightly a disadvantage, because you don’t know the results, but especially from the personal point of view: at night gives us advantage because we find more concentration, maybe because it reminds us of great emotions...

“There was no dispute with Galliani, I had my say, he expressed the club’s position.

Borriello’s problem is not a relapse. Before he had an injury to his meniscus, then a muscle problem at Reggio Calabria, now another. The operation to the meniscus created him some difficulties in the recovery, and then it can happen that when you resume playing after two months of inactivity, there is the risk of injury. Even though yesterday’s injury must still be evaluated, because it could be a simple tired muscle. I don’t know if the injuries are tied to the problems of another nature, I don’t judge the personal issues. I look at him as a player, professional, from this point of view he has improved a lot. Last year at Genoa he did well, I hope he returns soon because he is important for us. Pato could be the striker, considering Borriello’s absence.

“The Bonera-Favalli duo is not a surprise because Favalli has great tactical intelligence, Bonera is more central than full-back, and they have also found agreement between them. They are players of great experience, especially Favalli. There is no need to put them on the right side, they know well the movements and they do it in tune. Right now Favalli is more reliable than Senderos, who was out for a long time; now he is working with the team, but he does not have Favalli’s same condition. I don’t have preferences. I hope that Nesta can recover, because I believe he is the best. He is doing well, but it’s still early to say if he healed. He only had a couple of sessions.

“When Pirlo will be back, nothing will change, but we will have an important player with certain characteristics which he uses for the team.

“It can be that the attackers have not yet expressed their real potential, but maybe Ronaldinho scored some goals that no one expected. This influences the comparision. He gave us an important and unexpected contribution. After all, he is the player we could have waited for, but he got used to quickly and then helps the atmosphere which he creates around him when he plays at San Siro.

(Emerson said that a team of 11 Emerson would beat a team of 11 Ronaldinho. It was asked to Ancelotti: and a team of 11 Ancelotti?)”I reply like Emerson did. We throw it on the fighting spirit and running, and we shall try to take home the result!

“I’m just partly surprised by Juve’s comeback, because in the difficult moment, between injuries and negative results, they still managed to climb back up. They found the solidness and then the results gave them confident. It’s the most solid team of all right now and this allows them to highlight the qualities of its champions.

“This year the league is different from all other, there’s balance for the fact that the big teams did not manage to express themselves yet, as well as others like Udinese and Napoli have done better than expected.

“The rapport between Milan and Beckham is very clear, it will end within the next months.

“I will not wish bad luck tonight. I’m interested in the game for different aspects. I’m interested in seeing also Palermo, considering that we have to meet them. I like to watch the games. Yesterday I watched Mantova-Pisa. Taking the team and changing the events is a merit for Costacurta. What surprises is that it is not easy, but I’m happy because he started out well. I like him also from the behaviour point of view. He’s very British and is doing well with the team. Milan is producing excellent coaches, thanks to the work culture which Sacchi transmitted to us.”

Kaka, Ronaldinho both have to play, but we also must play with two strikers at home vs Chievo. I am sure we will struggle if we play with the x-mas tree...this can't keep going on!

actually, Milan played with the xmas tree every time both Kaka and Ronnie played, and it was a pretty good formation, the only thing thats bothering me is the finishing rather the formation...

As long as the players make off the ball runs, and the attackers get support from the midfield, there's nothing wrong with the Christmas Tree formation. Last week they were willing to run...hopefully they'll be willing again today.

from What i read from the Chievo players/manager, they are going to sit back and hit us on the counter(like every team out there, be it Inter, or any of the little teams like it ) and considering we improved on the counter(thank god Gattuso is here) it should be a walk in the park... but our attackers have to do something about their finishing

POSSESSION GAMEPLAY ALL THE WAY!

too bad its in he afternoon, wont be able to watch it

Notice, in the last match we were playing with the xmas formation in the first half and the beginning of the second half and we didin't score. Then, Pato and Inzaghi went in, we were playing with two strikers and we scored.

mind you it was the players and not the formation, as Pato(and the "new" formation) has been fielded for less than a minute and the players wouldnt have adapted to it...

but still, i'm not against the xmas formation, nor against the 4-3-1-2, they're both great formations, stable defensively and offensively, but in the 4-3-1-2 we lack the quality of Pirlo hence we need Ronnie and Kaka to run the game

i think we should play with 2 strikers, pato and sheva in this case. Pippo can always come in in the second half to save their butts.

so:

-----------------abbiati-----------------------

zambro/bonera--kala---senderos/bonera---janku

------------gattuso---seedorf------------------

kaka-------------------------------------ronnie

-----------sheva---------pato--------------

Looking fwd to the game, which should kick off in about 30 min...

Glad that Zambrotta will b able to play, and hope Pato gets on the scoresheet.

Inter's win yesterday puts pressure on us to win, and keep them to within a point.

We can, and will do this.

FORZA MIIILAN!!
