all of our keepers are old, we should buy a new one to take over in a few years. andrea consgili played well for the U21 tam, and Vincenzo Fiorillo is supposed to me one of hte most talented young keepers around. we really should buy one of them

why? these keepers arent ready yet. we should follow the progress of marchetti and get him next season or the season after! I dont like the thought of a 20yo goalkeepr.

Abs is 32, so we still has a few years left in him. if he plays for two more seasons, that makes consigli 25 and fiorillo 21, both old enough to start. both are currently starting for top flight teams, so i think in a few years they will be ready

Storarai just conceded 4 goals today, not much better than Kalac! I am waiting for the return of Dida and Abbiatti!@

20 year old GKs aren't good, but Marchetti. As much as I want to believe it, there is NO deal in place for him to come after this season! As they say Berlu: "no money, no honey!"

Well, Milan is not actually signing one yet..... Just wait to see how Dida and Abbiatti recover, as Storari is yet to convince me. i am sure however, he doesn't make simple fumbles like Kalac!

We got four goalies. While certainly we could improve quality in this department I think it is prudent to do that next year when Dida's contract ends.

One of the goals yesterday was Storari's fault; the rest were mainly due to our craptastic defense.

I don't know what it is about Berlusconi, but he never seems happy investing in a real top class goalie. We'll happily take a 20M gamble on Ronaldinho, but never willing to spend big on a keeper. Just look at the history, even in the "golden" years, we always had a top class squad, but an average goalkeeper..

If I remember rightly there were comments in the past about his philosophy on GKs. Basically I remember it being something along the line of a team being good enough that a top keeper isn't needed.

Yeah, even Abbiatti at the time was a gamble.... Berlu prefered to take a gamble with him and buy Dihno instead, when obviously the GK situation was the biggest problem!

it would be nice if we actually invested in a top keeper

Exactly, would be nice to see Milan with a great keeper on the books. Man, I really, really regret not getting Buffon when he was actually available. Juve paid a fortune for him, but he has more than made up for it on the pitch..
