According to La Republicca and Corriere dello Sport, Van Basten has held meetings with Berlusconi and Galliani. Seems as though he might be our next coach - he does appear to be Berlu's preferred choice, at least.

The good news is that he is demanding a big transfer budget!

And Leo really seems to be on his way out. If he was staying, he would have said so already.

Well, I should have known better than to post rumors from tribalfootball.com, lol. Van Basten just told Sky Sport that he can't coach Milan because of a problem with his ankle (huh?).

Oh well... It's Galli and Tassotti then. Galli could actually be a good choice, but I would prefer someone with more pedigree.

He probably plans to come back to Milan sooner or later as a coach and player ...

come on, Galli has done nothing in his coaching career, and don't tell me its the case with leonardo. Galli has primavera to handle and still he did not manage to win any thing or to promote a first team player. this means alot. and this year performance is due to the new guy they got from liverpool not galli. so this guy has failure written all over him.

When u see a sad milan fan that Leo has left...believe me its mostly not because he left..its more of what it means for the club, Ask yourself why he left....the answer won`t be his inability...that what worries me,thats why I`m sad.

I`m even more sad that i know that Galli or Tassoti are coming..I have respect for them..but I`f they are appointed..it only means they have agree to do whatever Berlu wants.

I firmly believe that given a few years, and some money, Leo would be a winner with Milan. This however, is not possible. We have to win now, and with a shoe-string budget.

Basically, we need God, or one of His angels to coach the team (or maybe the devil himself) if we are to win anything in the near future, based on the new penny-pinching approach being taken by B&G....that said, I think its a decision that will bode well for us when Platini´s rules against "financial doping" to use a phrase coined by Wenger, comes into effect.

Regardless, I am a Milanista for life....coaches, players, and evenowners will change...Milan, and my love for the red & black will remain constant.
