The schedule of the W-E in Serie A

Saturday, 18:00
Udinese - Genoa

Saturday, 20:45
Roma - Cesena

Sunday, 18:00
Bari - Juventus

Sunday, 20:45
Milan - Lecce
Sampdoria - Lazio
Parma - Brescia
Palermo - Cagliari
Fiorentina - Napoli
Chievo - Catania

Monday, 20:45
Bologna - Inter

Already some good games to watch: Genoa in Udinese tonight, we'll see if the king of the mercato is already ready for the new season ... Fiorentina against Napoli, or a game to know if Fiorentina will manage to play well despite the injury of Jovetic/Mutu and with their new coach (I doubt they will be a force in Serie A this season).

Of course, Milan-Lecce is the most important game as, firstly, we're fans of Milan, and secondly, it's a game between a promoted team and the future champion of Serie A ...
Bologna - Inter could be worth watching it too, just to see if Inter still plays as bad as against Atletico (again, and again: thanks Benitez to have accepted to destroy a new club !!).

for e.g. http://www.totalfootballmadness.com/...g-this-season/

Allegri said that : “He had an excellent last campaign, but he can give more,”.

“Milan’s best signing of the summer could be the real Ronaldinho. He now weighs 83.7kg, whereas he was at 87 all last season.”

Allegri, who replaces Leonardo at the club, expects a lot from the Brazilian and concedes that Milan’s shape will vary on whether Ronaldinho is in the team or not.

“With him on the field he’ll play wide left in a 4-3-3,” added the former Cagliari boss. “Without him we’ll play with a trequartista, Clarence Seedorf, behind two strikers.”
I missed this quote ... and IMO, it's bad news (for the way Pato could be used). I'll wait to see several official games to know what will really do Allegri because that means he said white and then black in few weeks !!

We did bad, but it was because of the form of the team ...
We didn't play well when we suddenly changed the formation, it took time, we needed to wait for some players to be back at some decent level (especially the midfield and Ronaldinho).

This time, Ronaldinho seems to be ready physically. It's maybe worth trying again.

Anyway, whatever chooses Allegri, as long as we win ...

On his press conference today Allegri said that Flamini and Oddo are out, but Pato would be ready for selection tomorrow.

I'm watching Udinese-Genoa, and 2 players are outstanding:
- Ranocchia for Genoa, impressive, he did one amazing tackle in the area
- Asamoah, the midfielder is simply everywhere, very powerful

However, I'm not impressed at all by Alexis Sanchez (thought his good WC would make him play better, but he's back to his usual level) and Rafinha (brought nothing forward, and seems anonymous in the defence).

Saturday, 18:00
Udinese 0-1 Genoa (FT)

Saturday, 20:45
Roma 0-0 Cesena (FT)

Sunday, 18:00
Bari - Juventus

Sunday, 20:45
Milan - Lecce
Sampdoria - Lazio
Parma - Brescia
Palermo - Cagliari
Fiorentina - Napoli
Chievo - Catania

Monday, 20:45
Bologna - Inter

A lucky Genoa won in Udinese (a bit like last year, Udinese played well, dominated, but was unable to win finally) and Roma "lost" 2 points against Cesena. I just saw several minutes, and Cesena had some chances to score, as well as Roma. But for Roma, it's a bad performance on paper against one of the promoted teams at home ...

I am not particularly excited that Roma drew. I think as long as we play well, we shouldn't worry about how other teams do.

Don't we play Cesena the second round btw?

I doubt Roma will be as good as last season, unless Adriano turns to be back to his real level of few years ago. They have no reinforcement except if Okaka (on loan last year) and Burdisso (already there last year) are considered as reinforcements.

No change at all is often bad, they even lost Marco Motta. All teams need to be refreshed, even if it is only 2-3 players, even if they're not starters, but only one new player, and a fat Adriano, isn't what I call refreshing a team ...

IMO, Roma will be a top 6 team, closer from the 5-6th place than the 1st-2nd one I think.

And of course, as long as we win our games, we don't care about the others, but you know that won't happen, we'll probably have some bad result here and there, so the results of the others count.

Roma has no real "upgrade" transfer, only Adriano to dream. It is hard for them because most of the teams from 10-12th to 4th last year looks stronger.

Howerve, if Cesena could draw them, it means we should hold our happiness a little longer
