I absolutely agree with you. You told all things true about Paloschi. I really like player like him (hard worker player). We only need to be patient with him. Just let him develop and wait for 2-3 years and we will have duo great AlPa for our strikers. ![]() |

Di Gennaro is similar, he's struggled at times in Reggina, but now he's becoming more popular as he's getting more consistent with his performances and making the difference. I believe the last time he was brought on as a sub for them, the fans were cheering for him. Then there's Abate, who is now regularly playing in Serie A and looking like a big prospect, impressing at all levels. He's definitely one worth getting back imo. Albertazzi is a big prospect as he's impressed a lot since joining, and although it's not looking too great for him, I wouldn't rule out Darmian becoming useful. Let's not forget other youngsters from our Primavera, including Aubameyang, Ubunegbu and the guy in your avatar, Osuji who I really like the look of. All in all, most of these guys won't become big time players, and in reality there's a big chance most will simply disappear off the map in the future. However, we should encourage their growth while we can and more importantly, we must remain patient. Italian's tend to gear players reaching their peaks in the late 20's, and many of the great Italian players in history weren't brilliantly famous until the reached quite far into their 20's. For example, Pippo, Rino, Grosso and Toni all rose to prominence really in their mid to late 20's. The guys in our list are mostly still in their teens, with only a couple around 20. |

That's true, the key is patient. We can look at what Fergie does with youngsters in MU. He doesn't play youngsters in Premier League so often but use them very often in other competition (FA Cup, Coca Cola Cup?) or games (friendly matches) except EPL and CL League. This is not only to help the players to develop but also to raise the image of the players (to make them known by other Serie A small teams or Serie B teams) which can be very useful for these players to take the interest of other clubs to loan them.
I don't like the idea sending the young players (post Primavera aka started 20 yo players) to so low level competition like Serie C2 or Serie D (I don't know how the names of these competitions right now). The lowest level of competition for these players, in my opinion, should be Serie C1 (a competition one level under Serie B) but ideally Serie B (with playing in regular basis). That what happened for our previous young players like Paloschi (who was introduced and played well in Coppa Italia last year and made big jump for his career with making a super goal in his debut in Serie A), Mazoratti (who was listed in our first team squad a couple of years ago), Abate (who was introduced in 'useless' game in previous UCL games when Milan had already qualified for the next round), etc. That what Milan haven't done so well until now. We had Bruscagin from our Primavera last year and we didn't 'introduce' him to the italian football by playing him regularly in Coppa and bringing him to some of Serie A games (if he could play that would be great but if not it's already enough for 'the introduction'). This season we have Osuji, Albertazzi, Strasser etc. and we still didn't play them in Coppa game(s). We instead played first team squad or experienced backup players. This philosophy must be changed IMO. |

It's true we could use the youth guys a little more, but I'm not too disappointed either. Those who have shown promise until now have generally gone out on loan and I hope Darmian is given a loan chance next season. As for Osuji, Strasser and Albertazzi, it's probably not a big problem they haven't had too many chances. They're still with primavera and thus playing regularly there. We already know Albertazzi will probably get first squad experience next season, and Osuji (who has been used at times in the first squad) should probably get loaned out too now. Strasser I don't know enough about to judge tbh.
Worth mentioning Ubunegbu who is also a hopeful is currently in Serie C1 after his loan spell at Salerniterna wasn't too successful (he only made 2 appearances). So there's another who we're trying to get experience at senior level. |

Plus Aubameyang who has been doing well in Ligue 2. I really hope something big in 5 years from Paloschi and Aubameyang.

It's not what I call a good loan ... even if the ratio is excellent, he didn't play or almost. |

According to this, he has started 19 games:
http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/...=3170&&cc=5739 6 goals isnt too bad for a young lad who hasnt started every game. I think I remember seeing his older brother Willy playing for our senior team a couple of times. He didnt seem to have what it takes, no idea about this guy though.

I took it on the French version of the Eurosport website ... maybe they didn't update very well their statistics for Ligue 2.
Anyway, when I say "he didn't play or almost", that means that 6 games is nothing in a season. But if he played more games, so it is better but I don't expect anything from this player, not in Milan anyway. |

http://www.ligue1.com/joueur/index.asp?no_joueur=112782 He has played 29 games with Dijon this season with 19 games as starter and 10 as substitute and managed to score 7 goals. As I wrote in previous post, he scored 2 goals in Coupe de France from 4 appearences and as Bosniaco also wrote in previous post, he played for Gabon senior team and scored one goal in Gabon's win against Marocco. He is still 19 years old and we can't judge him right now regarding his future in Milan. It's TOO EARLY. As ACMILAN1983 said, we have to be patient. That's they key with young players. He was the top scorer of the Youth Championship in 2007 and now has played regularly with some goals with Dijon. Just wait for a couple of years (3-5 years) and we will see if he will be good enough for Milan or not. |

He is 19yo, he is far from Pato, he is far from Paloschi who had to be loaned this year, so it's why I say I don't expect anything from Aubameyang in Milan. And 7 goals in a season in Ligue 2 is nothing. You know that Ligue 1 is already poor in terms of level, so try to imagine what is Ligue 2 ... Anyway, does anyone has the complete list of our players loaned or in co-ownership ?? I'll try to find it if noone has it ... |

Co-owned players are:
- Luca Antonelli (defender) in Parma ; 22 years old, 12 games played, 1 yellow card - Luca Antonelli (winger) in Parma - Ignacio Abate (winger) in Torino ; 22 years old, 21 games played, 2 goals - Davide Di Genarro (striker) in Reggina ; 20 years old, 20 games played, 1 goal - Davide Astori (defender) in Cagliari ; 22 years old, 6 games played - Alberto Paloschi (striker) in Parma ; 19 years old, 30 games played, 8 goals Loans: - Elia Legati (midfielder) in Monaco with an option allowing Monaco to buy him, back in Milan in January - Willy Aubameyang (striker) in Dijon EDIT Pierre Aubameyang (striker) in Dijon ; 19 years old, 29 games played, 7 goals - Yoan Gourcuff (midfielder) in Bordeaux ; 22 years old, 29 games played, 7 goals Source: Website of AC Milan I have a doubt about Luca Antonelli ... we have two players with the same name and surname, loaned in the same club ?! Is it a joke ? I remember we were in trouble at start to know who was the guy coming back in Milan, Antonelli or Antonini, but if we have two Antonelli, that's going to be crazy !! And I don't know if there was a mistake by the writer or by Galliani, but some days ago, he said that Antonini would come back next season ... I presume the guy was Antonelli. EDIT: I checked on the website of Parma, there is only one Luca Antonelli ... who are the guys managing the Milan website ?! Amateurs ? And I made a research, Willy Aubameyang is 21 ... EDIT: It looks like it is Pierre Aubameyang, 19 years old, who was loaned, so again, who updates AC Milan official website ?! They don't know our own players !! PS: I didn't find the number of assists ... and these statistics are only for their respective championships (no cups). PS1: If there is any other player, tell me, for example, Gourcuff wasn't listed in the article taken on the website of Milan. Last edited by GeoTav; 08-04-2009 at 11:10. |

Yes I know, and Catalina Aubameyang is the older brother of Willy (and so of Pierre too
). But on the official website, they said Willy instead of Pierre, which is, for me, a lack of respect for the player, even if he isn't important in the club, they should know who are loaned/co-owned, especially when the guys were in Milan last years (first team or youth teams).I edited slowly my last post ... to correct all the mistakes !! |
