I think Dinho has become someone who just need one moment of brilliance to have a great game. He is truly the X-factor. He can be a non factor for a whole game but he believes that he only need one chance in the game to change everything.
TO me he is no longer someone who inspire those around him to play better and up their games, rather he is someone who the whole team is waiting for his moment of brilliance.

Nesta is probably the MVP for Milan at this point of the season, as without him the whole defense collapse.

The whole team is playing better..this achievement is as a result of team spirit...I think we can all agree on that.

Dinho, Nesta, Tiago etc....all ok. What about The Captain..he has had a great season so far IMO. Not only as a player but as a captain aswell, I had my doubts at the begining..but he steped up..and I`m gladly giving him the MVP of the year

I think Nesta is the different as I don't think Ambro really playing better than he did last year. As he always play like that the diff is, he was either playing in a very defensive role under Carlo or not playing at all.

mrki, just curious if after the fiorentina game if you are going to go on complaining about big teams getting decisions?

I think that we relied too much on Kaka', each year a little more, and it's why the team stuggled more and more ... the guy couldn't do everything all alone, it was like "I give the ball to Kaka', and good luck man" !!

Kaka' is (was ?) a match-winner, he could have won games all alone and he did it many times. The peak was the CL in 2006-2007. But it's very hard to do it each week-end during a complete season !! And actually, more Kaka' was important for the team, worse were our results in Serie A (and then in CL but it was also due to the fact that Kaka' got bad injuries the last two years).

This year, of course, we rely on Ronaldinho, but the other players now have to play, really play, give it all, and that's maybe why the team plays better and better (even if in some games, it's not that good) and more importantly, better than the last 2-3 years ... and look where we are in Serie A: back in the Scudetto race** !!

** When was the last time that Milan was in Top 2 and in the race for the Scudetto with serious chances to win it (we can't deny that now) at the beginning of March ?! I remember Mrki saying two seasons in a row in December that it is a shame that we are already out of the Scudetto race, well, they listened to him and we are in in March ...

Indeed they , sh1t the Italian teams are getting worse year by year I can see all they 3 Champions League teams going out aswell I hope not . But after years of arguing i'll concede defeat the Italian teams are just not up to it , although for most of the last 7 years they have not been great they have been unlucky , Milan were unlucky and will be unlucky if they go out , Juve were unlucky against Chelsea last year but the gap is there.

I dislike how people speak about Ronaldinho.. Not saying anyone in this forum, so far but just people like my friends lets say just in general people think he needs to learn how to get by players or he needs to get faster or he has no skill this that.... Go back 4 years ago that Ronaldinho you saw, you'll never see another player like that in YEARS, ultimate ball control sniper shot good pace amazing skill.. He still has his touch but for some reason, lost his pace.. He just needs to get back in shape thats all, and you have to credit him for his recent form no matter what little mistakes hes made, because hes definitely improving..

Personally, I really think IT teams should have a playoff from 5-10 places at the end of the season to determine who gets into the Europa League. As teams like Roma might think it is a mickey mouse trophy but I am sure teams like Sampdoria or Genoa will at least think more highly about that.

The biggest mistake people make is comparing "Barca Dinho" to "Milan Dinho". Yes if you do that then he is maybe half the player he was. But, that's just how good he was at Barcelona. Like you said.......we might wait for a while to see a player come out like that. He was the optimal football machine.


But let's forget that Ronaldinho. Let's say......we erase "Barca Dinho" from our memory like it never existed and all we know is this "Milan Dinho". So now how do you rate him???........when obviously you don't have that one superhigh benchmark that he himself set a few years ago.

If you never saw Ronaldinho play for Barcelona, if you never heard of him.....and this is the first season ever that you watch him play then there is no question about it that you have to be impressed. Who else in Europe has done and can do what Ronaldinho does for Milan at the moment?!?!?! Maybe a few players but that's it....which means that still ranks him HIGH up the list, or in other words one of the best. There is no argument there. Everything that happens in the opponents half comes from his feet.

Ronaldinho is simply a victum of his own past greatness at the moment. Although he might have brought all that upon himself with the way he took care (or not) of himself.

It might be a good idea to do that........but part of the failure in Europe right now are exactly teams like Sampdoria and Genoa. You are right....these are teams that regard the Europa League high, but it doesn't matter because they aren't powerfull enough to do anything about it. And that's because of their own greed.
For example Genoa and Lazio last year. They did well to qualify for Europe....but then what do they do??? They sell some of their best players (or freeze them out of the squad) for cash.......instead of building on their success of making it in Europe and making an even stronger squad.

That made me disguisted in the summer and I knew that both these teams were going to fail in the Europa League. This is why I hope they don't qualify for Europe in a long time. Italy needs clubs like Fiorentina and Napoli to play in Europe. Teams that are willing to improve year after year surrounded by passion. Just look at Fiorentina and how they've been slowly improving their squad year by year. And they are yet to sell a big star of their squad because they want to keep growing. These are the clubs that will hepl Italy get back to its feet.
