ok to please you, let's assume Tuncay is the star of Turkish football. Does that mean we should go after Bosko Balaban who is the star of Belgian football???? Or Rivaldo, who is the star of Greek football. Oh, I forgot we did have Rivaldo, and we all remember how he did. Please, I wish Tuncay well, but history is not on his side. Turkish players have notoriously failed in the top leagues. Emre was an underachiever at Inter and hasn't lit the premiership on fire, Nihat is ok in spain but last I checked he wasn't scoring goals for one of the top 5 teams there. Rustu couldn't make it in Barca yet was considered one of the "so-called" best in the world. Okan at Inter was average, i still wish they had him
We even had Umit Davala, and his characteristics were better suited for serie A than Tuncay, and he barely played. Let's not forget the great Terim as coach. Had we not fired him so early, we might have never gotten Carletto, so we as fans should owe Terim a debt of gratitude.
If Tuncay comes and I sincerely hope the closest he comes to Milanello is as a fan, he won't do well. I always want players that come to Milan to do well, even the trickiest of guys, but I am confident and history is on my side, he will have no whatsoever impact in Milan.
On another note, some sensationalist story today on gazzetta.it regarding a swap btw gila and adriano. I can't believe gilardino, he should be happy that the team is getting better by wanting to bring in another top class striker. If this is really how he feels then he should leave because he doesn't have the team's best interest at heart, and more alarming, he has not faith in his footballing skills that he can beat out the competition. If that's the case, he's not milan caliber. Sad because I wanted gila to be the next great striker at Milan

yeah but Ramo, Tugay has been a class act at Blackburn so there is at least1 success story

I dont like the idea of pre judging a player because of his nationality and history. Look at George Weah for one, there are probably a lot of coaches who turned him down thinking nobody decent ever came from Liberia.....If you want to judge a player then do so on an individual basis, personally i've seen Tuncay play a few times and he was pretty impressive, though im not sure he is Milan quality.

fair enough. I am just trying to make a pt. Weah was great but he is 1 in a million. With every generalization there are counter examples. I think Galliani, hopefully through his 20 yrs as milan VP has learned that some players from certain leagues won't make it in serie A or Milan. If Tuncay ever comes to Milan (i hope not) and is good, I will be glad to eat my words. However, I have been watching football for a long time and believe that more likely than not, he won't make it in our club. I was going to say we shall see, but i hope it doesnt get to that pt.

Sanly Tuncay is a good player, but not the new seedorf or something like Ribery or malouda.
He is good but not for a milan game starter.
I feel very sad because after CL tropfey i was hoping that we were after Ribery for seedorfs
position, and now i read this article and i can't understand how can be Tuncay better than Ribery?

Gazzetta is writing about Adriano-Gila swap. And they say Milan fans have a petittions like they did with Sheva for Gilardino to stay. They dont want young Italian player to go to inter. Personally, I like Gila and I really wanted him in Milan but he is simply not playing good. Adriano is ALSO not playing good football, but is a better player than Gila when he is in form. Aldough I dont thing this will happen, if it by some miracle happens I dont know how should I react.

Inter is close to signing Chivu, and if that happens we can forget about Mexes.
Its good that press is not writing a lot about Milan, im sure they have some kind of a plan, I just hope they dont look too long like last year.

2. We go there by plane with Berlusconi-Galliani-Braida-C.Maldini
3. We pay the club, the player
4. We present the player in Milanello
They should make some kind of an action " Make Milan stronger in 15 days". so we are finished with mercato and we can relax and start talking about tactics

I REALLY doubt Gila would go to Inter. He was just jumping and singing 'chi non salta Nerazurro e' e' the other day. THAT and I really think we'd be losing our 'Italian-ness' by losing an Italian for yet ANOTHER Brazilian. No offense but Milan is an ITALIAN club and we have enough Brazilians already.

I think Gila will be given this coming season to prove himself in a 'normal' season and if he doesn't then they might consider letting him go.
