Striker worthy the place of Andriy Shevchenko

Torres is not worth 40M. Its not my money, but please dont do this deal. Maybe because we have some kind of friendship with Atletico we want to make them a little gift?

Seems the poll has it even between Torres and Tevez! I am equally divided between the two, but leaning more to Tevez, because we already have a tall, strong CF in Gila.

Both Torres and Tevez scored a goal each in the WC (uptill today)

Looking at the 2 players played their football they are different in playing style.
Tevez is more rely on his power shots while Torres is somewhat stylish and play like a feeder and striker.

My choice would go for Torres....
Again this is not a true or false choice amongst us but more on personal favor only. Time will only tell which player is more suitable for Milan.

I agree that we should go for Tevez and I think that most people want him, but is there even a possibility to get him? is he not Chelsea bound or is it just a rumor

Unfortunatelly calciomercato more than ever turned into an all out absurd affair, a ruthless capitalist reality (specially after Abramovitch's advent), one can't deal with that dirty business with the same frame of mind of 20 or 25 years ago.

Regarding the price eventually asked for Torres, just think about for a minute about how much Shevchenko would cost today if he was at it's 23 or 24 years old... at least 120 or even 150 M euros, make no mistake.

yea but i still think other strikers would be better like Ibra or Cassano.. they are also just 2 yrs older

yea but i think it all depends on what Belusconi and Ancelloti wants, do they want to go like for like and get Torres to replace Sheva, or go for a new approach with Ibra and Cassano... Only problem with Cassano is that its going to take a while for him to get match fit by Milans standards , and ibrahimovic justs needs more confidence..

Ahh! It was just Torres's second game and I can't beleive how people are rating him!

Even if you don't count the goals his performance was above par. The more we wait the more we wait, the more his prices are going to go high. He is not perfect yet but there is high possibility that he might just become some one more than sheva for us. He was simply amazing and he did play a supportive role which completely knocks off any hindrance surrounding him, suggesting the opposite.

There's no question about it: the guy is showing to be the world's best young striker by far, our board simply must get him at all costs. So I say: NO IBRA, GET TORRES!

im finding it hard to work out player values, if Inter get Toni for lets say £17 Mill thats a benchmark we could work from...

But Toni's is near 30, and that makes a great difference.

I would hope we would try for Tevez, he is not impossible, difficult yes, but not impossible. I don't think Chelsea have anything on him or Mascherano. Everyone thought Kompany and Alex were pretty much Chelsea players, but they're not.

If we went in with a serious offer and Leonardo helping us, i'm sure we could strike some sort of arrangement. I see Tevez as the same type of player as Cassano, only better, especially in the goal scoring stakes.

I prefer Torres over Tevez by far, and must consider that the argentinian could cost us even more than the spaniard.
