Capello want him so? Diarra is not exactly a star player so don't worry, real madrid is not smart enough to sign him. When was the last time a real madrid manager have a real say in the team?

They will sell Baptista or maybe if they get Diarra will use him to try to deal with us for Kaka. Capello is being a bit*h right now and is trying to mess with Milan. He knew that Diarra has been our target for a while now and knew Kaka would be our most valuable asset, and its no surprise that he's after them both. He also did mention last week that he was looking for an all-round midfield player (a la Diarra) who can attack and defend.

I was really really hoping to get Diarra to replace Gattuso, but now I dont think he is needed that much to tell you the truth. Ofcourse he would be a great addition, but I dont want to see Gattuso out of the first 11.

I think Diarra will sign for Real soon, they need him. If he signs for us, it will be like a bonus and I will be thrilled. And trust me, Capello didnt sign for Madrid not knowing that he will have a say in the transfers and decisions at the club. He is a powerful manager, and I am certain he will get what he wants, especially at a club that is financially loaded like Real. It was only under the Florentino Perez era where the managers had no say.

Very interesting point, minhduc! Congratulations!

Ibra’s agent says: “I do not want to say anything as to not ruin the negotiations.” Then calciomercato speculates…is the official presentation today?!
Wait a "bit" more... Think he and Buffon will arrive, but almost at the end of August.

I agree...I was just saying what the site said. I think it will be near the transfer deadline.

Madrid wanted Diarra before Capello went there. We need to act fast if we want to get him before Madrid, we need to buy him now rather than wait until after the CL qualifying match.

Nope...something like Ibra will be a Rossoneri, worded about the same way as Viera was going to be an Interista except it's not the club saying it & more of a speculation, to which degree of truth I don't know. He also didn't play in Juve-Spezia friendly.

I don't prefer him but I don't really mind. I know he has the physical qualities of a striker, can play Italian style football and was able to make passes & score goals with Juve (who won the scudetto but then there's more story to that). But then again, I'm haven't followed Serie A faithfully. If Milan doesn't act fast in signing their top choice then someone like him can adjust to the team more quickly.

Or this news about him is can be just to "provide mystery to our surprise signing."

oo i will beg all Milan Staff dont get Ibra he is so selfish and is boring player ! Torres would fill everything forward and Diarra in midfield we don't need any body else ! Oddo Can do , in Defence !

crazy one-- Dida , Nesta , Bonera , Khaladze , Oddo , Pirlo , Gattuso , Diarra , Kaka , Gila , Torres ! this would be perfect for Champions League Competion .

according to calciomercato.it, Livorno's president, Aldo Spinelli, says that Milan has offered Livorno Coppola+money for the services of Amelia. He calls it a "very interesting offer" and goes on to say that, in his opinion, Milan will send Amelia to Juve in order to get their hands on Buffon.

That will be a master stroke IF we are loaning Amelia to Juve. If we're buying him and then offer him plus cash to Juve, i don't see the point.

Also if we did loan him to Juve then it will be difficult for us to get him back again. I mean if he succeeds in helping Juve get promoted he'll feel part of the team, the fans would love him and he'd be more reluctant to leave that behind and become a Milan player. Does that make sense ?

it does make a lot of sense. I was thinking along those same lines. Also Buffon is like barely 28 meaning he has a good 4 years - at least - of top football left in him and that's just too long of a period to loan Amelia, I mean the player himself probably wouldn't agree to not having a permanent club for the next 4 years or so.
Anyway, Dida for one more year and then Amelia taking over is a great solution IMO.

Amelia or Buffon , both are good.

I think we are not going for Buffon anymore but rather have Amelia.

Let him play some CL matches and let him gain some experience from Dida,...
He's good and next year , he'll be world class.

It seems we can forget about Diarra.
Real has offered 25 milion Euros.
I think they might even include Gravesen in this deal since they don't need him anymore.

Let's hope we give them a similar offer and that Diarra is smart enough to not ruin his career by going to Real.
