Dear everyone,
The administrative team has improved the barring system in order to make MM a more friendly place to visit. We strongly advise you to click the following link to read our updated rules and systems (it won't take even more than a minute to finish reading them). http://www.milanmania.com/forums/announcement.php?f=5 Thank you, The Adminstrative Team |

From what I know, Betis' pres is pissed that RO left for medical tests at Milan without his permission and thus missed appointments with representatives from other team interested in the striker. Also, RO was expected to return to Betis from his loan spell at SP on time, but he instead showed a week orso late. That's why Betis fined him a lot of money and they seem to be willing to get that money before he leaves the club. Whether this is the reason for Betis upping their asking price, or whether there never was a negotiated price between Milan and Betis is all speculationat this point, but the main reason why the negotiations are still going on is that the two clubss still can't agree on a transfer fee and the fact that there are other clubs interested in RO doesn't make matters any easier. That's pretty much it for now ... I expect that everything will be resolved by the end of the day - whether thedeal is off or not - simply because Milan doesn't have loads of time to consider other possible transfer targets. |

Simply a strategy by Betis to up their asking price...they probably also know that we will pay Oliveraīs fine for him, hence their insistence, worse, knowing the window closes soon...and our relative desparation...
Bottom line is, (despite the opinion of the naysayers): Milanīs management, IMO are doing all within their power to bring some quality players to the club. Though I have said it time and time again, I feel obligated to make the statements for those who have difficulty in understanding, or simply refuse to: Milanīs management have been working to reinforce the team, but are not going to go on a spending spree a la Calderon and Moratti, or Abramovitch for that matter. Both the scandal, and the resulting qualification for the UCL, also influenced or rather helped to prevent us making any definitive moves, as players wouldnt necessairly want to come to Milan if we were not in the UCL, and without the UCL money, we obviously would have to alter our plans re our transfers. Now, how difficult is it to understand the above? I am really dismayed at the number, and frequency of negative, shallow posts, when few of us, if any, have been living in a vacuum over the summer...so all should know what transpired. I too confess to being worried about the apparent inactivity/failed bids...but I refuse to let pessimisim get the better of me...since I recall where we were a few months ago...barely in Serie A, and with a 15 point deduction...and no Europe...funny how quickly we forget these things...never mind...I am here to remind everyone.

If the mistake wasn't made in the first place regarding this transfer then we wouldn't be in this mess now and having to pay extra for this player.
Surely Oliveira, his agent or someone from our negotiating team should have had the common sense to think "Hang on, meeting us without permission and skipping arranged meetings with other teams isn't the best way to conduct this deal". A child could see that. Waiting that extra day and meeting us on the Saturday could have solved all this, but his and/or our impatience to get this deal done has now seen it delayed. Fair play to Betis, they've seen a way to get a few more millions out of us and get a better deal. It's not their fault.

Guys, Lopera has to save face. He sold Oliveira and Joaquin during the same summer and Betis is about to celebrate their 100th birthday.
He fined Oliveira 1M euros (you read that one right). I think both sides will work something out, Oliveira wanted out from Betis, their fans dont want him anymore, we need him and they already signed Rafael Sobis. |

I'm really disappointed.
While Inter got the signing of Vieira, Crespo, Ibra (well, not a big deal in my opinion), Maicon, Milan got Gourcouff, Favalli, Bonera and (maybe) Olivera. With 8 point less I fear this season will be a terrible one for Rossoneri. About CL, do you really think that without Sheva Milan will be able to reach the quarters? ![]()

Well the group certainly favours us and progress to the last 16 is easily possible. Going through to the quarters depends on the draw of course, but if we play well we could reach the quarters.

Hey guys, lets all stand outside Berlusconi's mansion and have four names.
Ronaldinho, Buffon, Oddo, and Ronaldo, just to irritate Moratti! |

What's with everybody wanting Ronaldinho. We could replace our entire backline AND buy a striker with the kind of money he costs. AND we're covered in his department. Where will he play..?

Ok I will wriggle out of my normally optimistic hide for just a moment.
This Oliveira thing is starting to border on the absurd. |
