i don't blame Kaka for leaving... he obviously did like the idea of going to Real, but if we kept him happy he wouldn't have gone....he single-handedly gave us the CL in 2007 and after that we sucked the life out of him by not investing in the team and expecting him to keep carrying us season after season....we put too much pressure on him mentally & physically & he broke down...he had to leave....we did not protect him

As for attackers, Dinho will be gone in the summer so we need a replacement and one who can play CAM

Kaka single handedly gave us the CL in 2007?? When did that happen. That was the mother of exaggerations.

On Kaka's issue, my opinion is of Pearl Jam's Nothingman: once divided nothing left to subtract, some words when spoken can't be taken back.

Besides, to my knowledge, NO ONE ever succeeded in their 2nd spell with us: Sacchi, Capello, Gullit, Simone, Donadoni, Sheva, you name it.

Kaka's fitness is more likely to deteriorate with time. Even if it turns out otherwise, I don't think I'll have enough patience to read reports about Galliani negotiating contracts renewal with a certain daddy greedy every year.

Enough is enough!

Well, of course it's an exaggeration. But still, he was our MVP at least. I would love to have Kaka back in the same shape as in 2007, but will he ever come back to that level? Not so sure about that, too many injuries. One thing is for sure though, I'd hate to see him celebrate a goal wearing an Inter jersey.

Yes, he should be our MVP at that time. But don't forget we lost Sheva. Our biggest star were Sheva and Kaka in that time. What poeple forget easily is how Carlo could make the team able to compete with any team in europe even a big lost existed in that time (Sheva). Player best motivation was also one of biggest factor of Milan success.

Kaka won CL 2007 single handedly? It is only in a dream.

and where will kaka fit into? i'd rather have a young destructive, oops i meant defensive, midfield player/prospect than a washed up 28 year old. even if he is the (nearly?) great kaka.

I don't know which team you were all watching in 2007, but the fact is that Kaka reached his peak that year. In the CL, Milan scored 20 goals in 2007: Kaka scored 10 goals (and made 3 assists) while the rest scored 10: Inzaghi 4, Seedorf 2, Gilardino 2, Pirlo & Gourcuff 1. His performances that year won him the Ballon d'Or. I did not say that Seedorf did not play a couple of excellent games against Bayern & ManU or Inzaghi scored both goals in the final, or.... but this is a team sport and no player no matter how great can win a competition like the CL if he did not have a good team next to him. But take Kaka out of that team & no one in their right mind could say that we would still have won it, but the same cannot be said about anybody else that year. That is what i meant by single-handedly...i do not believe it is an exaggeration and if u have a better example about another player who has had the same effect on the team's perfromance in a single competition, then please do share.

In 2007, in CL, two of our players were amazing: Kaka' and Pirlo. Gilardino was also very useful as he was "sacrificed" by Ancelotti to open spaces to Kaka'. Overall, we were a good team, but we had these two players who were just outstanding that year in this competition. Without Pirlo or Kaka', we wouldn't have won the CL in 2007, I agree with you (actually, I agree but add Pirlo to the main reason why we won).

he scored 1 goal against celtic, team conceded 0. pirlo was the best player against bayern at home, and seedorf away. And what happened when Gattuso and Maldini picked up injuries against united at OT? at san siro the team put in a masterclass. In the finals, he was involved in both goals, mascherano marked him out. Kaka did well that year, but to say he single-handedly won us CL is like saying Messi single handedly gave barca 6 titles: an insult to the rest of the team.

Like Lebrn said, Kaka' was the "fuoriclasse" player who allowed us to win games. He didn't make us win all games, but without him, we wouldn't have won the competition for sure as we had no other "game winner" player. And it's why we struggled in championship for so many years.

Not to undermine kaka's contribution or anything but people praise Kaka for '07 AND ALMOST NEVER give credit to the rest of a side that was probably best team in CL from 2003-2007. A team that with a bit of luck could have won 4 titles instead of 2. It's not fair. Besides, we can't know for sure whether without Kaka the team wouldnt have won that title.

If there ever was a one-man team in the world that won the CL, it was Kaka's AC Milan in 2007. Ofcourse there were 10 other players on the field, but it was all him that season. 80% of the win goes to him while the other 20% is shared with the rest of the teams performance.

In 2007, we had no bench ... Kaka' was the player launching the counters, passing, etc, he moved so much on the pitch. If you put him out of the team, who would have done his job back in 2007 ? We had no bench, and no replacement for him, it's as simple as that.

Now, if Kaka' can become again the player he was in 2007, I say a big yes to his come back. If he can at least play like during the WC (not a trequartista, just a classical AM), he would aready be an upgrade in our team.
