Just to let my cents...

Dzeko wasn't my first option(second) last season, but I take him over Ibra without to blink.

One of the biggest chokers of football nowadays, a little head case and when his team more need in CL, disappear. Plus, how old is Ibra?? With him age doesn't matter? How much will cost his purchase??

Imo the purchase of Ibra(if the price is more than 20M) is a mistake...

Ibra is 28.

Brasiliero my friend, I think Dzeko was Milan's first choice, but Milan hasnt got 35-40mln for him. This transfer will be made by Galliani-Raiola connection with some crazy loan deal most likely. Without the money this is the best CF we can get for sure.

And now when he is 28, its about time he wins CL

Im just saying that we all know where are better choices, but since obviousely Milan cannot pay for anyone, this player is more then good for us.

So Ibra is now the cheaper option?

We should have taken the risk on Dzeko when he was $25m last summer...

Juve are linked with both Borriello and Huntelaar.

Thiago Silva was quoted yesterday saying that Diego is a great player and good be just the player Milan needs. He also said that he spoke to Galliani about him.

Would be nice if we can give them both those strikers and get in Dzeko and Robinho/Diego.

Brasiliero I agree with you on this, I would take Dzeko over Ibra. Ibra's 28 years old and he has been consistently player in the CL for a long time and he has been choking with every club no matter how good or how bad his team is. The only game he played well in is the Arsenal game last year at the Emirates.

Ibra will be 29 soon and Dzeko 24. Dzeko bleeds red and black, he loves Milan. If he comes here he will stay for 10 years and put 200%. We cannot guarantee that with Ibra.

real give 38mil for ibra today(rumor,hard to believe)..
and i dont think ibra is cheaper than dzeko,even now,loaning him is a different thing(strange but different)..

personally i d choose ibra,he has prooved himself during these years(although i understand brasilero's points),and knows serie A like his hometown..i think he's the type of fc we need as a squad..

although naive id say ibra is like a better version of borrielo and dzeko like a better hunter,the thing is that i am sure milan need the first type and it was more than proven last year..

of course if you ask me to choose between dzeko and bori i would have any second thoughts at all

anyway for me any of 2 would be a miracle..

But I don't remember where I read that: Ibra has won the last 7 championships he took part in a team (I think it is Ajax, Juventus, Inter and Barcelona). If this player can give us a Scudetto, I'm all for him to come.

I really want us to be again at the top of Serie A, we need to re-build this team by doing things in the right order: Italy, then Europe. If we think we will suddenly become the top team in Europe by struggling in Serie A each season, I think we're wrong. We need to have a complete squad for Serie A, we need to win this championship to give more and more confidence to our players, and then, add here and there the players who are able to make the difference in CL. It's the only way I see us winning CL again in the next few years.

Of course, Ibra, Dzeko, Robinho, I don't care, they are all players who would probably contribute to our next successes, in Italy or Europe.

With all our bad mercatos in the recent past, I think we can't say "Oh no, not this guy" if "this guy" is one of the mentionned players nowadays ...

PS: About T.Silva-Diego, Thiago Silva actually said that if Diego was to be on the market, he would right now tell Galliani to take him. That probably means Diego will finally not be sold by Juventus, which is quite logical given the performances he did since the first friendly games of the Bianconeri (he's simply their best player).

Geo, that was yesterday, BEFORE Aquilani was signed... even before Aquilani he was linked with an exit, now I think he could leave for a good 75% chance.

i prefer Ibra instead of dzeko.
Ibra has shown his class, he is waorld class striker.
he has amazing skills.
Dzeko for me is a type like Huntelaar,Robinho, or Gilardino.....very promising but i don't know if he can handle to be one of the best in world.

and imagine the Ibra-Pato duo, they will make wonders................

robinho is the best investment we can make right now. his creativity is amazing, plus huge asset for the future when we want to sign brazilians such as neymar or ganso.he is good friends with both, and with him pato, ronnie and silva i dont see y they either would not chose milan compared to chelsea with alex and realM with marcelo.

gareth bale with the double for tottenham... they won 2-1..

btw - doesn't it seem like we arent looking at all to improve our fullback positions? only last year we tried to sign Cissokho and failed, why did we give up?

Why the optimism around here all of a sudden? Did something change? Don't get your hopes up for no reason. Unless we sell, we won't buy.

If Ibra comes here he will stay for 1.0 year and put 20.0%.

signing Ibra also wouldnt be as bigga risk as what Inter did, yes Ibra can go missing in the CL but Pato didnt when he was fit and playing where as at Inter and Barca Ibra was the focal point of the attack so to speak

Milan is a strange club where finances are a metaphisical issue... to speak that way, kidding a bit.

We have as much money as Silvio says, that is it. We have no money to pay Bochetti but we have to pay Ibra. We have no money to pay normal fullback, we have money to pay new cpntract to useless Gattuso etc.

Not selling Rino was a big mistake by Galliani, another one. Juve loaned Aquilani and only pay his wages. 26 year old all round midfielder, aldough injury prone, for a loan deal its a very good move. We could have done that from money for Rino+his wages. Too bad.

Now the important think is that somehow we sell Marek and Kala and Milan will free some budget money from their absurd wages. Also Milan will sell Hunt or Borri, hopefully Huntelaar. MAybe one more CB/BL like Bochetti can be installed into roster then, maybe...

Bochetti and Ibra and I will say "great mercato this year", considering we "have no money", again.

VdV refused Wolfsburg, saying that is not on his level.

Also, seems like Allegri doesnt count on Onyewu, so maybe Milan can loan him ,swap or something... Allegri wants one more defender coz there are only NEsta, Thiago, Sokratis and Yepes. Bonera is horrible and that is it.

Defence: Zambrotta, Antonini, Bochetti, Abate(?), Nesta, Thiago, Sokratis, Yepes, Bonera, Oddo.
Midfield: Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Seedorf ( laughing when writing this for 6,7 year in a row! ), Flamini, Merkel, Strasser, Boateng.
Forwards: Ronaldinho, Pato, Ibrahimovic, Borriello, Verdi,
Inzaghi.

I consider this to be a VERy different team then last year. Doesnt look much, except for maybe Ibra, but if we manage to insert Bochetti I'd be pleased.

I do not count we can win CL, as we have no needed defence for that. But we can win scudetto if injuries do not destroy Nesta and Pato.

If VdV joins somehow, that would be a miracle.
