Many Barcelona fans are starting to worry about idol Ronaldinho leaving for AC Milan.

The Italian giants have been interested in Ronaldinho for two years now, and there have been several contacts between Milan and Roberto de Assis, brother and agent of the Brazilian megastar.

On Tuesday Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that Silvio Berlusconi, owner of AC Milan, had lunch recently with Ronaldinho's brother - to talk about the possibility of a move to the San Siro.

Barca fans are already worried at this prospect.

An online poll taken by Catalan sports paper Mundo Deportivo shows that 56 per cent of fans are 'very worried' about the prospect of Ronaldinho wanting to leave Camp Nou in the near future.

Only a small minority of readers, 11.6 per cent, think that Barca should 'take advantage of Ronaldinho's high market value and sell him straight away.'

According to the poll, only 28 per cent of Barca fans believe that Ronaldinho will still be wearing the famous red-and-blue striped shirt 'in five years' time.'

Santi Nolla, editor of Mundo Deportivo, comments that 'these fears are understandable, given the historic inability of Barca to hold on to their top foreign players.'

Milan-Ronaldinho, l'affare avanza

==========================================================

it would take an extravagant 12 mil/year contract with image rights to capture Ronnie, and it seems that Silvio is willing to do that insanity to bring the magician to Milan!

For the same investment and cost for Dinho I would prefer to spend on Zambrotta, Buffon, Drogba and another good CB.

We better stop dreaming and start concentrating on what we have right now. Ronaldinho will NOT come, it is still pure fantasy. I dont care even if they say Berlusconi will spend 250million, it simply wont happen. Start thinking maturely will you guys? 12m a season? in 4 seasons he would have earned 48m, with all that money we could buy every single youth talent in those 4 yrs, and some might even be better than Ronaldinho.

That 48m is ONLY the money that he earns from salary, dont forget the money that we will give Barca, let's say 120m? For arguement sake i'll say 80m. Please instead of just seeing that as a number, trying actually thinking of how much that actually is and what you can do with that money. Especially if you were an ex-Prime minister and you are trying to return to ur position.

People would not want him to be their leader after they see him spending money so stupidly. What would he do if his country went in war? Some of you may argue and say that what I am saying has nothing to do at all with this topic, but you guys should remember that Berlusconi initially started thinking of buying Ronaldinho just because of his image, just to say to people "BECAUSE I CAN". He likes to demonstrate that he is a powerful person and gets what he needs, and he thinks that by this way he will win over peoples hearts.

Besides, we all know our management how hard it is for them to spend an extra pound on any player, so I find it hard for them to give a go ahead for this deal. If I was managing Milan, and I was given a crazy amount to buy players I would most definitely go for Alves, Zambrotta(Marcelo), Diarra, Eto'o(Messi, Cassano, Robinho) instead of splashing it all on one player who would not even be the best player in AC Milan if he were to join!

He's still only one player.. who is NOT in his best of form and that money could be MUCH more wisely spent.

Agreed! His sale is going to affect our other tranfers. Berlu will definitely finance the need of our defence as well as Ronaldinho!

------------

I feel kind of sick defending Ronaldinho's INEVITABLE purchase.... makes me appear like a phan but as I have mentioned earlier it's inevitable so we have to learn to live with it (him). Besides he is a quality player maybe he is getting blinkered day by day but he still has lots of years and high skills in him.

I remmeber when this rumour had started no one beleived it at all. It was considered as a show so that the world would know who the hell we are (due to our scattering image as a result of Moggipoli). Now he looks closer to Milan than ever. Probably the coming summer or in the 2008 winter he will join us.

Its geting confusing really! So many Milan players have said things about Ronaldinho and him joining us but for now nothing is going to happen as per Galliani and Ancelotti!

ANCELOTTI FIDUCIOSO - Al Ferraris sarà molto dura.

I think we shouldn't waste our time discussing on this thread until we come across some quotes from big guys or a report in a big newspaper
