Inter and Chelsea are two physical teams, at time i felt like I was watching 2 Chelseas (or 2 Inters) play against each other

Inter tried harder and won.

well that's why you need to have squad depth.. Mourinho bought 22 first team players and injuries concern him not ... well ok.. they would probably miss Sneijders absence. but everyone else can be replaced more or less.

Sure, but some players are just irreplacable. Zhirkov is a good LB, but Ashley Cole is probably the best around, at least one of them. Essien is irreplaceble as well.

Anyway, people need to give Mourinho that much credit, Carlo's Chelsea looked as predictable as Mourinho's Inter looked against Barcelona (or Catania

fans need to relax a bit ... every time Mourinho wins he is praised like a God. but every time Mourinho loses - he is a crappy tactician.

If Chelsea won yesterday (which could very well happen if they netted one of their early chances) you would hear a completely different story about Mourinho.

There's been a lot of talk lately about our summer plans and this lead me to think and revise my thoughts about how we should progress after this season. I agree with the clubs policy of trying to use our youth more and this will be hugely beneficial for us in the long run. That said, nobody can deny we need some work and reinforcements before we can really expect to challenge as we have done in the past.

Before we move in the market we need to confirm how Leo intends to lineup next season, which will probably be a progression of the blueprint that's been laid out this year. Essentially 4-2-1-3, we need to make sure we're strong in wide areas and have stability in central areas. We know Leo wants an aggressive and energetic Milan and so this needs to be considered as we progress.

Going on this, we need to see who in our squad we can keep and who we should let go (or will leave on their own). For me this would be as follows:

Looking at this, we're looking at a fair proportion of the squad leaving this summer. That means we have a lot of work to do if we replace them. Now the question is who we should bring in.

I'll start with the attack as I think this is easiest to resolve. There's no question Dzeko is our top choice and without a doubt I think we need him. Borriello whilst useful has shown of late he's not likely to be good enough to remain in the first team, as his finishing is often poor and he doesn't have the consistency to lead the attack. A possibility is replacing Hunter who I think will leave with him coming in (maybe including Hunter as part of the Dzeko deal or selling him to help finance the deal).

Pippo is also likely to be leaving in the summer as his contract doesn't look any closer to being renewed. His replacement is ready made in Parma and Paloschi should be scheduled for a return to Milan in the summer. Mancini shouldn't really remain with a view to replace him with a proper alternative to Pato, as this has been one of our biggest problems this year.

In midfield we need to replace Beckham. Ideally we would get Hernanes (or someone similar), as he would be a long term replacement for Pirlo and can help offensively and defensively. We need to make sure we have someone who we can rely on frequently (also read versatile) as I hope we won't be in a situation where we keep relying on Pirlo, Ambro, Seedorf and Rino all the time, as their age must be considered now. Flamini should from now on be viewed as a first teamer. I think if he maintains his performances of late to the end of the season, we will have found a new DM and a source of energy for our midfield next season.

Defence is where the biggest changes must take place. We have two great CB's in Nesta and Silva, but we need someone we can rely on a lot as Nesta will have spells out as he has done this year. Bonera has been good since his return but he's also injury prone (never mind he covers for RB too). Therefore, we need a couple of very solid backup players who can come in and help out when needed. With Kaladze, Favalli and Jankulovski all pretty much certain to leave, we will have freed some space for some new players.

However, what concerns me is Astori is most likely to come in as our solid backup, which I'm not sure he's good enough for. Yepes is an ok addition if he takes up Favalli's role as an experienced head in our bench. However, this lack of quality may be a sacrifice we have to put up to give a chance to a couple of youngsters in Primavera that I'm sure we're hoping to really come through and take Nesta's role in the side eventually.

The fullback role doesn't concern me as much as before. Antonini's really impressed this year and is likely to keep his role in the side. Abate has also grown a lot and I'm willing to put up with him and Bonera alternating for another season, if it means he can continue his growth. Therefore I think we just need a fullback to provide backup rather than be a sure starter. However, with Janku already leaving and Oddo also a possibility, we may need to consider how many fullbacks we need as we'd be left with Abate, Antonini, Zambrotta and Bonera, which isn't really enough. That said, we could use that chance to give opportunities to youngsters like De Vito who impressed in Coppa earlier this year.

I'm not really sure what I'd like to do with Onyewu at this point.

As for goalkeepers, we need to replace Dida as he's pretty certain to leave. Whether this means Storari comes back or we buy another backup to Abbiati I'm not sure.

To summarize all this, we need about 7-9 players in total. A top level striker is a must, and then ideally a creative midfielder with a long term view to replace Pirlo. An attacker is a must to be an alternative to Pato and then we will probably need a squad replacement for Pippo. In defence we need a couple of reliable CBs and then at least 1 reliable fullback, finally finishing with a backup keeper.

It's a lot to do in the summer, but doing this will at least make us more competitive as we'll have the depth we've sorely lacked this season.

Who gvie a fne **** about Mourinho and Inter, or Chelsea or Carlo, they are not part of AC Milan. Carlo was, but not anymore.

Even when pressed, when he crosses, it's often good if not great crosses.

Having Tremoulinas here could be a solution: Antonini as first choice (that would be fair, because with what he has showed, he deserves to have the starting spot for the next season), Tremoulinas as second choice, and as Antonini is often injured, Tremoulinas would then have several chances to take that first spot ... and that would also allow Leo to do some rotation.
