As for 15mil for Astori, if thats the price Milan needs to play for him, then I am sure Astori will end up having dental or hair issues. As the last time Milan paid 15mil for a defender it turns out he got serious dental problems and might cause him to not perform at the highest level. Somehow, he is playing in the quarter final in UCL starting for his new club, while Milan is knockout. Go figure.

Wat do u guys think we should do in order to intergrate players like DeVito and Adiyah in the squad? Some hard decisions will have to be made on senior players, bcs these guys are good! Loans maybe? Space will be made for some due to departures of Oddo and Janko (hopefully). I don't want to see these guys fall into obscurity, only to be stars in other teams....

Never see this lad playing so I won't comment about him. But as we all know Nesta will miss the rest of the season. T. Silva himself were absent a couple of times this season due to injury. That means none of our 1st choice CBs are really reliable. Look at Lucio or Samuel in Inter, I forget when was the last time they're out because of injury.

What I'm really concerned about is that once we have Yepes, those two baldies will say we're covered on the CB sector. What we need is a quality CB, a world class one. Some might ask no such a player will accept to be benched. But considering Nesta's (and Silva's) frequent absence this season, chances are he will get much more playing time than he expected first.

I am a bit conflicted about the Yepes signing. Yes, the guy is old, very old actually; but on the other hand, he still has game left in him. He is having a hell of a good season for Chievo, which is more than what we can say about most of the oldies we signed over the years. So I guess I would be ok with this signing provided he is not our first CB off bench. Of course, I still do want to point out that this signing is in direct violation to the "no player over 27 be signed" policy Berlusconi implemented last summer. But I guess that shouldn't be too surprising considering how we signed Roma like a week after that policy was made public.

Looking at the moves we are rumored to make, it seems like we are in for another disappointing mercato this summer. Once again, we are targeting freebies, old freebies to fill out the roster. I have heard rumors that Diego Godin is also a free agent, but we instead picked Yepes. Personally, I think our time as a top notch team has passed on. If we delay our so called revolution in the entire squad any longer, the team will be beyond repair. Imagine where we would be at without Nesta, Pirlo and Ronaldinho. That is likely going to happen in the matter of a couple of years. Our policy is basically to suck the team dry and it is drying up fast.

The young players in our youth team is in a tricky situation right now. Many of them might have a lot of talent, but the toughest part of their career is ahead of them. One or two bad decisions and all of them could turn out to be busts. The first decision we have to make is, are we actually going to give them any playing time here? If we are not going to play them, then we have to let them go somewhere else to play. To me, we as a team need to develop a couple of small club partners somewhere in Europe like ManU does with that Belgium team. Sure, we can just loan these youngsters out to Serie A teams, but without having those teams commit to developing them, their progress will stall. We loaned Pozzi around quite a bit, and he went from the new Inzaghi to a nobody. If we have a couple of partners, then we can send our players there and have them train and develop these players the way we wanted them to.

It's not a good season for him, but if he comes back to his real level right now, it's perfect for Bordeaux, because it's not a good time for this club (they've done like Inter, even better and now worse: they were 1st at +6 and 2 games in hand some weeks ago, really easy, and they are now 1st at +0 and 1 game in hand).

They asked once or twice and he replied that the idea of coming back to Milan someday could become true. But if he does, I don't think that will happen in a very near future. If Blanc leaves at the end of this season, Gourcuff will leave for sure (and I think guys like Tremoulinas, Chamakh and/or Fernando in midfield will take the leaving bandwagon). If Blanc stays (and I think a very good result in CL should secure the fact that Blanc stays, it's my opinion), well, most of the players should stay one more year.

Isn't Blanc a candidate for coaching the French NT? A job that's tbh probably gonna be vacent after the WC. I seem to remember something like that. I just hope he doesn't go to Inter or Man Utd or something like that and takes Gourcuff with him.

Well there is alot of talk of who we should sign and who we want to sign.However all I see is Yepes at 34 and a welcome back to Beckham at 35 , this is all we see well all I see I dont think yepes will be backup backup Im positive he will be our CB signing.There is no evidence of anything else atm .It will be a long mercato of frustration hope and anger.

Well rumours that we've had an offer accepted by Bari for Bonucci, at least that's what I get out of that article. We still need to get a deal with Genoa done though, since he's co-owned.

Interesting I mean if we got Bonucci and Yepes was used as backup for backup then thats cool. Maybe a Krasic style player AM someone for Ambro's place a striker that can score consistently and a WB , sounds like alot but it is possible without spending ridiculous kinds of money who I'd like realistically would be Krasic , Bonucci +Yepes + Rafinha , V.der Vaart i think Anderson has alot to offer so him and a striker . I could think of better players to sign but that seems realistic wouldn't break the bank the striker wouldn't have to be Dzeko but it would be nice.

Christian where do you get the news? Bonucchi is one of the revealations this season. It's so unlike B&G to try to buy this kind of player.

About Yepes, would Galliani be interested in him if he didn't become free agent next season? I highly doubt it.

He's been playing well this season? Well I must've missed reading all the praise the media lavished on him. But then again, is he the only CB playing surprisingly well in Italy? Nope. To begin with, there are those duo from Bari. So why do we after him instead of those youngsters? Bcos he comes FREE, that's the whole reason why.

AC Milaneold.......bad jokes aside, 15 million for a co-owned player proves what I have been saying about co-ownerships, even half of that is too much in my opinion. If we are paying that much for Astori may be a freebie like Yepes is actually a good deal.

Well if 15 million is half his worth does that mean he is worth 30 million????, But Yepes is cheaper nothing infact. I just believe that MGT's idea of where the club will go from here is not winning Serie A or the Champions league finishing as high and getting as far as they can is the objectives I think , but signings like Yepes will not get you that but we'll see it might just be backup for CB and a replacement for Favalli , its only March and the mercato isn't open for nearly 3 months.

Either way, Yepes is not a signing a club like Milan should be doing. On one hand, the MGT is talking about making the team younger and better, while on the other they are just signing players who are about to be retire.
I know what Yepes has been doing this season and great for him, but I am sure guys like Albertazzi when given enough chance and trust would do as well too.
